Recommendation: No prior subject matter knowledge required

Alberto Carrillo Fuentes, Betty la Fea, was accused of crimes against health, carrying of weapons and ammunition for exclusive use of the armed forces and was detained in August of 2013.

Reporter: Ruben Mosso
A Federal Judge sentenced Alberto Carrillo Fuentes, Betty la Fea, to 13 years and 8 months in prison, he is alleged to have assumed the leadership of the Juarez cartel, together with his brother Vincente Carrillo Fuentes, El Viceroy.

Betty la Fea was found responsible for crimes against health as well as carrying arms and ammunition in his possession for exclusive use of the armed forces. Alberto Carrillo was detained in August of 2013 by elements of the Federal Police in the locality of Bucerias, Nayarit, together with diverse firearms, ammunition and narcotics.

The sentenced is the brother of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, El Senor de los Cielos, who, after his death in 1997 left the cartel in the hands of his brother Vincente Carrillo, El Viceroy.

Alberto was detained in Hotel de la Riviera Nayarit, where he was hiding, one year before his capture his name became known because of publicity in narco mantas located in Ciudad Juarez and in the capital city of Chihuahua.

The narco mantas said they were aware that the Nueva cartel de Juarez arose from the attacks of the Army against the criminal group La Linea, the armed wing of Vincente Carrillo Fuentes. At that time Viceroy left Chihuahua when his group was weakened no only by hits by authorities, but also by the attacks from his enemies, particularly cells of the Sinaloa cartel.

    3. Except for Juarez cartel name not used they are all the same basically. They are struggling with all the recent captures like the 80's but they are still around and CDS is not in control of cd Juarez nor does it pose a threat to that city yet. Chihuahua city could be half and half CDS and Juarez cartels. As far as strenght all you need is one good border crossing like cd Juarez and you will always have a strenght although for the moment Linea is only managing to survive not expand. It will never choose to expand into other states entirely which is what others here conciders a powerful cartel but that is their choosing not because they never can.

  3. La Linia are more like the gang branch side of the Chiguauguau State Police, the more the cartels get kicked out of the state the more strength they gain, like last governor Cesar "El Capulina" Duarte also allied with ZETA CARWASHERS and any and all comers for the right money and mugger of the state treasury in cahoots with EPN...now El Capulina is select special human rights refugee of El Paso Tx. that protects their special guest's sovereign impunity special designed by the US government for their buddies, if they extradite his nalgas back to mexico, no money or properties will be given back. But le Betty is lucky, 13 years are almost gone, he has been in 6 years.
Some confuse El Vicentillo Carrillo Leyva with "Betty La Fea" because of his glasses, Amado had him studying in Europe, in the best colleges, to save him from the life, pero tenian que andar ahi de calientes

    2. 11:07 not when the government, enemies and actual owners of your business claim everything right after they kill your ass.
Amado Carrillo Fuentes' wife always gets threatened and persecuted by some that WANT SOME MONEY.
THE FAMILY may have some but not easily accessible, El H partners in Guanajuato like PVEM Pooliticians and friends will watch zealously the properties El H had in society with them, --El Niño Verde president of the PVEM party will get El H free someday, If EPN gets reelected.

    3. @10:35PM If El H has to wait for EPN to be reelected he will have to wait a long time. EPn is prohibited by the constitution for a another term.

Some strategist that led the attack from La Linea into Sonora where el M100 was killed. Could be the best thing for La Linea was the capture of El 80 because this guy has smarts to bring shit to CDS in the state? Time will tell!
