The governor of Jalisco, Jorge Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz, assured that the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) hired foreigners, including several former Colombian guerrillas, to train its members in strategies and use of weapons, and reported on it, four years ago, to the Attorney General's Office (PGR).

"Yes indeed we have known, not now, but for 5 years, where we have pointed out the articulation of this cartel with strategy and including expert people, not only from Colombia, but from other parts of the world, people who have had practice and training, guerrilla or even military, are those who have been hired to train their people, "said the state leader.

Sandoval Díaz explained that during his administration they have arrested people related to military and guerrilla training, in addition to having secured camps in the mountain areas of the state, that are difficult to access.

"Yes there have been arrests, there is involvement of criminals who come from Colombia, not all, but we have found cells that have participated in other cartels," said Sandoval Díaz, who also asked not to stereotype Colombians, as he assured that many of the 15 thousand citizens of the South American country living in Guadalajara, are people who come to work or do tourism.

Last year, the Jalisco Public Prosecutor's Office located at least four training camps for members of the CJNG in municipalities in the valleys of the state, such as Tala and Teuchitlán. For his part, journalist Carlos Loret de Mola Álvarez assured that the guerrillas were left without a job after the peace process implemented in Colombia, between the subversive groups and the government of that country.

The journalist said in his column published in the newspaper El Universal, that the Colombian guerrillas - "violent hit men with special training" - are protected by groups of lawyers in Guadalajara and Mexico City, who are seeking amparo proceedings against their arrest, "taking advantage of the loopholes of the New Criminal Justice System. "

Loret de Mola Álvarez affirmed, based on sources, that the CJNG activated "as almost a defense protocol" to the State Police of Jalisco, to try to avoid the arrest of Rosalinda González Valencia - wife of Rubén and / or Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes. El Mencho "and sister of Abigael González Valencia," El Cuini "-, captured on May 26 in the municipality of Zapopan by elements of the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar).

In addition, the journalist said that in chats of mobile phones of some members of the cartel who were arrested, it was found that elements of the Special Prosecutor's Office for Investigation of Organized Crime (Seido), of the PGR, provide protection to the criminal group.

However, the governor of Jalisco denied that elements of the Mando Unico have hindered the arrest of the wife of "El Mencho", who is identified as the maximum leader of the CJNG and who continues to be a fugitive from justice. Aristotle Sandoval affirmed that the state policemen came to the site because, through the 911 emergency number, they were informed that a woman was being deprived of her freedom.

The criminal structure of the CJNG "is based on war power and the training of its assassins in counter guerrilla and urban guerrilla strategies, based on the teachings of elite elements of the Colombian armies, Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and Kaibiles de Guatemala, "said the newspaper Excelsior, in a report published in early February of this year, based on a 17-page report prepared by the Center for Research and National Security (CISEN).

(Otis: there have also been rumors that CJNG have received training from ex Mossad agents, as well as special forces NCO's from Spetznaz as well as other special forces groups. This may be true or it maybe propaganda put out to create fear. Time will tell with arrests.)
