El Ejote, of the Beltran Leyva Organization detained in CDMX

Lenin Lopez Neira, El Ejote, alleged leader of the Beltran Leyva cartel, to whom are attributed various homicides in the state of Morelos, as well as being in charge of purchasing arms for the cartel, was captured in an apartment of the Gran Tower in the Miguel Hidalgo delegation.

The criminal leader was found by intelligence elements of the PGR. Lopez Neira was dedicated to the sale and transfer of drugs such as methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine.

His detention came about with a search warrant from the Second Control Judge attached to the National Centre of Justice specialized in Control of Research Techniques and Communications Intervention.



El Ejote, had several doses of meth, marijuana, scales, ammunition, mobile phone equipment and vehicles, which were confiscated. He was put at the disposition of the Public Ministry of the Federation to determine his legal status.
