CJNG: Shooting between gunmen and police leaves 9 dead in Jalostotitlán, Jalisco

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat from Tribuna Noticias

An armed confrontation between a group of assassins and municipal police on Sunday night left nine dead in the state of Jalisco, in western Mexico, local authorities reported Monday.

Eight gunmen and a policeman lost their lives in the shooting, which occurred in the Jalostotitlán region, the state's attorney general's office said in a statement.

Three other police officers were injured.

The authorities indicated that the police patrolling "when they were attacked by bullets by a group of armed men who were manning two vehicles."

He added that the police "repelled the attack with bullets against the armed men, shooting down eight of them."

"We got off the patrol to defend ourselves," a municipal police officer told AFP on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.

For its part, a witness who avoided giving his name told AFP that "the bullets were heard throughout the town, at times three were heard, four bullets and then heard as gusts."

Jalisco, bastion of the powerful Jalisco New Generation cartel, is the scene of frequent shootings with antagonistic groups that even bury their victims in clandestine graves or hang them on road bridges.

The eyes of the international community have turned to this state after the disappearance of three Italians on January 31 in the municipality of Tecalitlán.

  1. Almost looks like the guy in the striped shirt has a head shot in one picture, but not the other. Did he get executed between pictures? Or is it just a bad picture? Sad that neither is really farfetched.

    1. 6:10 yes they do hide their hits like the kidnapped that had their ransoms paid and what about the tons of narco fosas everywhere?they only show their kills when sending a message like another piece of scum. The bad things they have done to innocents no.It would give them a bad reputation because they are after all there to clean the villa of extortionists, kidnappers and robbers, rapists, etc.

    2. The few times they exhibit their kills, the melitary always argue they was ambushed, but never have casualties unless it is from friendly fire, this is as suspicious as Tanhuato now known as A Crime of State.

  3. Jalisco New Generation is losing lots of their men, they want to conquer all Cartels, just like Hitler wanted to attack all the countries, but at the end he lost, Mexico does not need a powerful cartel.

    1. Well one officer killed is enuff of a plant, if he did not get shot in the back he robably got shot on the front by friendly fire by accident, i'd bet these sicarios killed were surprised and not given one second of time to surrender until after they got executed, the usual with a dose of BS for a change.

  5. Bullshit they killed those kids. Execution style. Look at all that gear planted here and there look at the radio next to the kid with the sweatshirt it should be stuck to the vest.

    3. 9:47 am speaks facts. Jalos has honest and pretty good police. These were not kids but sicarios who got what was coming to them. It’s the second attack on cops in two weeks there. It’s really sad because this place is relatively violence free.

    4. 5:55 I think you lie, most sicarios know to not fight the government and surrender if given a chance, they don't just get steamrolled with bullets if that wasn't the idea.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't have any sympathy for these guys. I can guarantee that some were wounded, and then executed by the officers. That is the only way to stop pest. I am sure these guys were disposal soldiers for the Sinaloa Cartel funded attempt to takeover the area. Most likely dispatched out of Teocaltiche on their failed mission. It is only a glimpse of what is to come.

    3. The article says Nueva Generación, but those scums are from the Sinaloa cartel. They are trying to take over the plaza. They don't mention that on any of the media outlets. It doesn't matter what cartel is in charge Mexico went to shit.

    4. You are right. These dead sicaros are from cartel sinoaloa and came from Teocaltitche. They are not CJNG. My wife works as a cop in Jalos so I know all the down low. CJNG controls Jalos plaza and works hand in hand with the Jalos police. Teocaltitche trying to take over.

    6. Cjng is taking losses everywhere. Where in this article doesnit say this was CDS? the tweeker cartel is done, menso will be apprehended or blasted this year and jalisco will be free of tweeker michoacanos. The people of Jalisco prefer Sinaloenses believe that.

    7. 6:45 you mad cuz cds ain't the it no more? They had their time but now are second to cjng. They would be foolish to think they can take that plaza from Mencho, that's his main plaza man, are you serious?... It's like when chapo sent his sicarios in a suicide mission to Tamaulipas! Nonsense..

Guess the hundreds of thousands didn’t wink an eye!

    1. 6:35 ...and the worst part is that the eyetalians were very probably murdered by polesia nacional death squads bent on disarming and kicking the municipales out of the game, because there must be "Mando Unico" gestapo style KGB to secure the federal government's powers over "Their Slave Banana Republic".
By now they have been expertly murdering "ambushers in every state of Mexico for a few years.

  20. I wonder if the goverment of Jalisco put la fuerza unica Police base in this city? The goverment been inaugurating like 5 or 9 bases in a few cities of Jalisco. Including the goverment of Michoacan been doing that in a few cities for the Michoacan Police. Even Nayarit has their own police. But not sure if the Nayarit goverment is planing to put bases in the cities of that state.
