Nuevo Laredo, Tamps -- Sofía del Carmen Monsiváis Treviño, niece of brothers Miguel Ángel and Oscar Omar Treviño Morales, "El Z40 and El Z42", respectively, and presumed leader of the sicarios for the CDN was captured for her probable responsibility in the murder of Ricardo Martínez Chávez, regional coordinator of the local Attorney's office, and four other ministerial agents, the PGJT reported today in a press release.
Ana Isabel Trevino Morales, Sister of "Z40 and Z42"

Sofía del Carmen is the daughter of Ana Isabel Treviño Morales and inherited the direction of the Cartel del Noreste (CDN) in Nuevo Laredo after her mother was captured last November.

Ricardo Martínez Chávez, regional coordinator of the Attorney General's Office (PGJT), two of his bodyguards and two dependancy officials were killed with more than 200 shots on Thursday Jan 4 at about 10:30 pm after a meeting in this city. They were ambushed by various gunmen and at the corner of Eva Samano and Municipio Libre Streets.  In addition a Ministerial Agent was wounded.

Before he was assassinated,  Ricardo Martinez Chavez and his companions were working on investigations that showed ties and complicity between Authorities and organized crime cells, in particular  CDN and  ex Zetas and had already seized a large arsenal from the criminal group, for which he was threatened by the criminals, this according to the Governor of the State of Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier Cabeza de Vaca.

Gov Francisco Javier Cabeza del Vaca condemned the attack on Twitter calling the assassins cowards

Sofía del Carmen was "admitted to the Federal Center for Female Social Readaptation (Cefereso) in the state of Morelos, where she was admitted recently for various criminal acts of the federal jurisdiction".

Her capture was made by special forces of the Marines in recent days, but only today was the public informed about her arrest.

    4. Once in a while I will say "nice! thanks for posting" when I like a story that has been translated, or great job if it is an original. so what's the big deal? Most is translation work. but it sure isn't easy. it is time consuming. It is not google copy and paste. try that sometime.

no more comments will be posted on this. lets get back to topic. thank you

  7. Looking like family members are dropping like flies under the new Narco backed government!
Making way for the new Narco family to reign for 10 + Years. A repetitive game and process with political elements invested.

    1. Why should be there a zumbido in Allende?
All they attract is criminals and abuse of women, the worst of job opportunities it for women, freely prostituting themselves to support their families in the best of cases, but usually forced to support a pinchi güebón hijueputa.

  9. Chivis, it seems this whole Treviño family is involved in the Zetas. Is it her mentality that gave her that leadership role or was she just next in line? I mean, they have to have more family members other than a 25 year old good looking girl. Just forget about z40 and 42 when I ask this question. Is every member bloodthirsty in that family or is it how the family is being raised? There such interesting questions and one more, how much longer will or can this family stay in some sort of power position, how many more Treviño’s are there?

    1. 1:18 How many more are there? You ever been to a Mexican wedding, family reunion, been to Mazatlan and have any Lizárraga itroduce another as a non-family member?

These people have tasted poverty, hunger, and a hard hustle all their life. They pass it down and don’t let it go until death do them part

  10. She was not a leader. She, her aunt and another woman were in charge of tax on bars, gambling places and other businesses. But you are correct it is the family business. She is in the generation of trevinos that are brutal like none before. Like kiki.

There are over 3 dozen nieces and nephews. We can tell by the lives of some of them that they have a choice to go to college, get married and live crime free lives, but the option is always there.

here is my article about Ana's arrest. it is interesting as it speaks of the amparo. which in 2014 to 2016 they filed and were awarded many amparos. according to the mexican government data base this includes sophia. important because even though she may not be a leader she played an important role, because Trevino's attained amparos for all the important members. I am not sure if ana and sophia are daughter and mother. social media mostly says no. no matter they worked together and are both trevinos.

    2. 4:54 the bar owners know they have to pay to play, and the zetas also know perfectly they have to kick a Lotta cash upstairs if they want to stay on the game even if they are not "zetas" anymore, mauve if you was the BOSS you would forgive The Plasa Fees? Then you would have to pay upstairs from selling your own as on the corna...

  11. Fuckin Zetas under the Trevinos where the worst that Mexican scum had to offer. They killed without mercy simply to impose their rule or lack their of over others. They are the reason Calderon along with the U.S. DEA and CIA allowed Chapo to grow in Mexico. They figured only Sinaloa could grow strong enough to stop them but instead CDS got their asses handed to them by the Zetas. Zetas still deserved to be stopped however because they were societies cancer in Mexico. The worst of the worst. Even more so than the feared MS 13.

    2. 2:38 by the time Los pinchis zetas appeared, in the late 90s LA chapa had been in business since the early 70s, alost 30 years, and the boss of the Cartel de Guadalajara and later cdj the caf and the BLO has been the CIA Through the DFS, POLICIES FEDERAL, ARMY, MARINAS, CISEN...and the presidents, but if the Mexican puppets misbehave and get caught that is their problem, like MA uel noriega, Juan Ramon Matta ballesteros or all the other capos imprisoned on the US or mexico, unless you are Felix Ismael Rodriguez Mendigutia, that mophaka didn't even need a presidential pardon unlike Oliver North and sheriff Arpaio "the Apache". Osiel hired zetas, because he got programmed into it, because "El chapo" scare, but the idea was robbing him of everything by the armed forces of Mexico left penniless by Salinas de Gortari who stole all their budget, not by La Chapa.

    3. In Texas no one fears MS-13. Hell not even in California does the Maras carry the same clout any more. There are bigger issues to worry about than a bunch of disorganized Maras. I don't know where you are from 2:38 but MS-13 only gets attention in the DC, Virginia and Baltimore areas. The majority of the Mara cliques in those areas are at war with each anyway so no need fear them.

    4. @4:12 this is not about MS13 my friend. MS13 is only feared because of what you said however "gets attention in DC". That was my point though for those not in the know about MS13. That MS13 threat cannot compare to the the real danger of the Zetas in Mexico. MS13 is not even half as ruthless hence dangerous as Zetas where in Mexico that is why they needed to be stopped.

    5. 8:19 I understand what you are saying but as whole all of the cartels are a threat to Mexico. CJNG is the biggest fire in Mexico that needs to be extinguished. CJNG is trying to expand in every direction like CDS did in the early 2000's. All that does for Mexico is bring the body count up even more than usual. Its just going to get worse but not because of the Zetas but because of CJNG and it's allies.

    6. @9:13 CDS threat still hasn't been extinguished either. If they where to stick to the border areas they still control then Chihuahua qpuld not be what is has been for the past 10 years at least. La Linea is holding on but because attention by authorities is focused on cartels other crimes not drug related seem to be on the rise throughout the state. With one cartel in charge at least criminals or would be criminals thunk twice about who they committ crimes against.
