  1. So Much for the Tourist Warning , NOT that this hads to do with tourists, however,
I have friends, a young couple with their toddler who flew into Cancun almost exactly a year ago , only to be caught up in the crossfire of that major shootout in CANCUN,
Jan , 2017. They escaped the carnage thanks to locals who to,d them wher to run.
    Seriously / REALLY.

    1. The drug business is more lucrative. Why should they care.

    2. It's not the government who feels it, it's the businesses owners and their employees and all of those who live off of the tourism who are going to feel it. These type of incidents are not as common as one would be led to believe. The thing here is, you're on a website that focuses on Narco news... Trust me, if you were to hear about all of the crimes in Santa Ana and Anaheim California you would be led to believe Disneyland is an unsafe place.

    4. Of course they care. Where else will they launder the money.

    5. They already feel it in their pockets. Travel is down to an all time low but the Mexican Tourism Board issues false reports on tourists even though incoming flights and visas are at an all time low and profits from tourism are down. The government there downplays it like tourism is at an all time high which it is not. Every year the visitors to Mexico are down down down.

    6. In the short run you make money, destroy where you live and make it undesirable for tourist and locals, alike. Sounds like a politician is running the drug game. Everyone for themselves. Feel bad for the hard working people.

    7. Because money is money. And every penny counts. You seem to forget what drives government. And like I've said before. Only a matter of time till the wrong tourist gets killed then the poops gonna hit the fan.

    8. I was just there on December 15 through 22, 2017. And not one sign of terror or shady things going on. If you are looking for women or drugs, you may find yourself in trouble, but if you're there for all that there is to do and enjoy yourself, it is perfectly safe.

    1. What does violence in Mexico have to do with the wall but you know what build the wall and I wish they would build it on the border with Canada too

    2. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 only 11 countries had border fences and walls. In 2016 70 countries have erected border fences and walls.
Think everyone is afraid of migration than violence.

but they make more than €90 000.00 euros per year on Normay, they may have some surplus refugees they wanna send to the US?

As has mine. and in places dotted on the map from Guadalajara to san paul de los lagos. for over a century. and it is mostly peaceful but not always there are spikes of violence. myself I would have no issue going, but then again I know where to avoid etc.

fact is my family is also in the advisory listed places. sinaloa, sonora, jalisco. But when you are educated in your surroundings, you are way ahead of tourists.

Being very lost a couple years ago in Nuevo Laredo got us one turn off away from being kidnapped. literally.

That said, I disagree with what 7:08 states, but he has the right to say it. Right?

    4. Tony Aguilar's family was robbed of their property lands in Zacatecas by the winning revolutionaries to make ejidos for the people, but he became a circus master and a mafia ring leader and robbed everything back...
Now Carlos slim and his mining comany Frisco-Tayahua puts peoe on the street and tears down their houses to make open sky mines in their towns, witness "La Salaverna torn down December of 2017 to make Carlos Slim mine" on YouTube.

  6. Looks like the criminals are at an early start, to kill. They want to meet the qouta of 2017 (23,400 homicides).

  7. The attack was made in the "Regiones",very low-income neighborhoods, located as far as possible from the touristic Hotel Zone. Does it make any less important? Of course not, but its like not visiting Disney California because of a shootout in Compton.

    2. I actually like to get outside the tourist areas and experience real Mexico. I can go to tourist areas in safer countries and can go to places outside the resort to enjoy the real people without worries. But I know it could come at a cost. I live in Chihuahua and I know bars here that have had mass killings. But it can happen anywhere here in reality as evidenced lately with the uptick in violence. Also tourist being fleeced in resorts and sold bad deadly alcohol. Good thing I know what to do and not to do. Something the average tourist cannot know. No one talks about the high fleecing of tourists here. Just getting to the resorts even if you are Mexican can be like running the gauntlet. My friend recently drove from Chihuahua to Mazatlan. On the way he stopped to get gas and also used his credit card in an OXXO on site. When he got to Mazatlan he found his whole 11,000 pesos had been robbed from his account. The bank will not reimburse him because he did not pay the extra 100 pesos per month to insure the account. Even if he had it, it would take an investigation of up to one year before he saw anything. I try not to leave any large amounts money in Banks here. Maybe travel tips would be a good report. People could shed some light from their experiences.

    3. I agree I'm American and have lived and traveled to a lot of places in Mexico. Is it bad in some parts yes 100% but so is south central LA so is Chicago. Major crimes usually stay within the crime groups. Robbey happens but if you keep aware of your surroundings don't wonder alone to a bad area and are polite you'll be fine. But bad things happen to good people in any country unfortunately in Mexico way more often but let's not all panic and say build the wall burn it all down just because there is a couple bad fruits on the tree.

    4. Fact tourism, the best places are owned by the worst criminals and they also get the shark's bite of everything with the biggest "businessmen", the people do not even get minimum wages, it is all about kissing tourist ass for tips.
Real Mexicanos jodidos can't even "own" a facking taco stand in peace because it is un-patriotic.

  11. I do believe all the ideas you've introduced for your post.
They are really convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for novices.
May you please lengthen them a little from subsequent time?

    Thanks for the post.
