El Chapo premier lieutenant , "El Marito Choclos" identified as a body entombed in lime

By Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat

Designated on United States Kingpin list

On Sunday October 21st a body in advanced decomposition was discovered at a dairy farm in Stanza Torralba subdivision of Culiacán.  The body was entombed inside a 50 gallon blue container and encased in lime.  Although the decomposition prevented immediate identification, it was assumed the body was that of Sinaloa Cartel operative Jorge Mario Valenzuela Verdugo, age 35.   AKA "El Marito Choclos", had been reported missing 10 days prior. He had been shot.

The U.S. Treasury Department [OFAC] designated Valenzuela as one of the main financial operators and lieutenants of Sinaloa Cartel. In the list published in November 2015 by the foreign government, he was linked with Guadalupe Fernández Valencia,  “El Padrona”,  who was arrested by Mexico’s Federal Police, in February , 2016. The U.S. froze assets at that time. She is the sister of “El Animal”.

ABC Chicago reports; “Federal prosecutors in Chicago on Wednesday asked a federal judge to drop the charges against Valenzuela Verdugo, 36, since the "government has obtained credible information that defendant Jorge Mario Valenzuela Verdugo died on or about October 22, 2017. Specifically, the government has learned from, among other sources, a copy of a Mexican death certificate, that Valenzuela Verdugo is deceased."

Side note: not too long after Damaso was captured, a bunch of Damaso's people showed up in El Salado near Culiacan and basically surrendered to Mayo's people. In other words they showed up to switch sides, and asked for a truce, and of course they flipped and joined Mayo's side. Most people aren't in it because they favor one side or the other they just want to keep making money and stay alive. They play the game as long as they can. Narco wars are endless no matter how much the govt "fights the war on drugs."

  12. I also remember the mysterious death of Juancho and Guero Bastidas both worked under Chapo Guzman. Juancho was either cousin or nephew of Chapo Guzman and Juancho was the plaza boss of Culiacan when killed in December, 2011. In their death though both Juancho and Bastidas had their pants down, tortured, and shoot to death. That was likely enemies of Chapo Guzman I am thinking Chapito Isidro or los Carrillo Fuentes because of how the bodies where found.

Marito Choclos seemed to be a middle man lieutenant who knew a lot about the organization, and was best for him to be dead much like El Kevin rescued in the infamous Culiacan ambush.

I am thinking El Guano Guzman and los menores are responsable... I might be wrong who knows.

  14. Did a real number on him. I can’t even tell what is what on this guy at all. Probably he was found to be cutting a deal with Mexican government or DEA most likely since he was indicted in USA. Either that or they suspected he was and they tortured him to find out what he said.

    1. since you mentioned that....US attys raised a conflict of interest regarding balarezo defending chapo. based on grounds he was in talks to represent "another defendant" in a federal indictment in which chapo is one of the named defendants. the name was not made public. Balarezo replied to the court that he never represented the named person in the indictment, and I think he said he only had talks with the Mexican atty in the case. There was to be a court hearing on the issue, I will look thru goverment docs and see if that has passed and what the court had to say. or when it is scheduled. obviously who ever it was wanted a deal to turn themselves in. The person was not in the U.S. rather still in Mexico.

I wonder if this man was the man in question.....

      Delete
    2. Nope...because a government doc says whoever it is, currently is arrested and going thru extradition. Hmmmm, I wonder who that may be? date on doc is 10.20.17 and the hearing was scheduled on 11.8.17 so if it went as per scheduled it has passed. I will dig around to see if any other info came out in the hearing.

ALSO...the letter reply from Balarezo indicates whoever it is wants to be a cooperative and cut a deal. I just posted the letters on my SCRIBD page.. go to

      for government letter:

    3. Chivis I don’t think he was the guy the attorney speaks of ( unless this is much more of a conspiracy than we thought possible) I wouldn’t be surprised however if he was attempting to cut a deal to flee Mexico and get asylum in the USA. I do wonder, why a US prosecutor would be so quick to get the charges against him dropped based on a Mexican death certificate, especially in a case where there’s essentially no body to prove it’s really him. It sort of makes you wonder if there’s more here than meets the eye......

      Delete
    4. I know that is what I am talking about in the second post "nope" answers my own question. I asked who readers thought it may be. whoever it is has already been arrested

  15. Nah i highly doubt it was because of jelousy of some sort. This guy more likely needed to be eliminated for what ever reasons they had. But fuck, thats some drastic death, leaving him to rot.

    3. @1:41 LOL!! I was thinkin the same thing. His face is out there for sure. I wonder...

  17. So how exactly are we sure it's him? A "Mexican death certificate" doesn't proof anything since we all know anything can be bought in Mexico including false documents.

    1. This “death” is very suspicious. I read some articles from Culiacán and they themselves mention some things about his death and the handling of it by the Mexican authorities is strange. I don’t know if I’m buying this story that’s getting put out

    1. This comment 5:40 makes the most sense. although I wonder if he got betrayed because he was high up enough on the ladder that he’s not likely to be picked up off the street. My hunch is betrayed or suspected of working with DEA to cut a deal. Preemptive strike, to avoid a situation like Mini where he’s alive and probably will use his leverage to get a favorable deal

  23. They killed el jefe sanca for working with the dea simple as that. They told Güero get out but he preferred to die with him. I remember before he died someone posted on blogdelnarcos forum as ELPARIENTE detailing a lot of info about chapos work with the military in Sinaloa and televisa and other shit. It was weird cause he said those who know I am..know this is true and he said he knew his days were done. Two days later they killed Jefe sanca. Too much coincidence there. That forum was gold back in the day.

Also Marito era gente de damaso through and through every now and then he worked for IAG pero he was a Damask boy. I imagine his loyalty got him dead. Poor sucker.
