Behind bars: 3 armed men and dressed in military clothes

Translated by El Profe for Borderland Beat from Debate

The three accused wore military type olive green pixelated uniforms and identified themselves as Charly N, 30 years old, Braulio N 18 and Pedro N 23 years old, from Sierra de Rosario

El Rosario, Sinaloa.- Elements of the Municipal Police of Mazatlan detained three men from Rosario who had in their possession exclusive military use heavy weapons, the arrest was on the old road to San Marcos, La Noria, near the El Placer community.

Detention

According to data from the authorities, the municipal agents were carrying out prevention rounds through the rural area when they noticed a group of armed people who, upon seeing the security units, fled towards the mountains, initiating pursuit.

Immediately the agents strategically mobilized and moments later managed to arrest the subjects without triggering their weapons.

 Seizure

The detainees were booked with three long-range weapons for the exclusive use of the armed forces, consisting of two AK-47 rifles with their own loaded magazines and an AR-15 rifle with its magazine. In addition to 200 useful rounds for an AK-47 rifle, 12 magazines supplied for a ’cuerno de chivo’ with 30 rounds each, a magazine with a capacity of 50 rounds for the same rifle, three magazines for an AR-15 with a capacity of 30 rounds each and one more with a capacity for 60 bullets.

Also a magazine for a 38 super pistol, a 40 millimeter caliber grenade and 130 rounds for an AR-15, 300 grams of crystal meth and 32 plastic bags containing marijuana. The accused were transferred by the elements of the Municipal Police for legal registration and then placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Prosecutor attached to the subdelegation of the Attorney General's Office (PGR), for the illegal possession of weapons and what may result.

Emergencies

The authorities ask the society to report suspicious persons and dial the 986 81 26 direct number of the Municipal Police of Mazatlan or emergency 911.

Got to see la Fam Michi field their crew. Looked like a vietnam set of uniforms, plenty fresh M AR 16s. Rojos crew in jeans, bullet proof vests, oh and automatics.

    1. Statistics indicate in Mexico City that those thousands released under the new judiciary guidelines crime has surged.
Many politicians are weary of this program which only continues to plaque its country with crime!
      So what’s the solution?

Many states in Mexico have yet to use the 700 million pesos that’s allocated for prison
      repairs, materials and social services.
Where political stance to feed the inmates over the backlash of feeding those citizens in their communities.
Sad to say but a valid point was made!

  13. What possible sentence can these individuals receive?
How many of these low criteria crimes are being
released under the new judiciary guidelines.
Only human traffickers, kidnappers and murderers are fully detained to ease prison overcrowding
In reality no violent crime was committed. Other than dressing up like GI Joe and possessions of firearms.

    1. The sentencing highly depends on how much money you’re willing to give up as well as other possessions. A friend of mine was charged with attempted murder down in Jalisco but he gave I believe half a million pesos and some land to the judge and other people but he still served roughly 15 months but it’s nothing in comparison to what they originally tried to give him(18 Years in combination with other crimes he supposably committed but where given to him to persuade him to give up some money). And the other scenario is very dependent on the cartel organization he belongs to, if he belongs to the dominant criminal organization in the area most likely they would give them a couple years no more than 2 to even something like a couple months to be honest with you.

      Wow!
No shame in the game of corruption!
I’ve heard of stories from many but not from someone who knows first hand.
      Appreciate the insight.

No wonder why so many good citizens are fed up with their judiciary system and governance.
      Moreover, the distrust!
      Thanks again.
