Chihuahua 30 dead in battle between La Linea and Sinaloa

Chivis for Borderland Beat
Site of  Sinaloa attack on military

A confrontation initiating at around 5 a.m. today  lasted over several hours, leaving in the balance causalities of 26 dead and 3 injured.

This information was provided by  the Chihuahua attorney general. (It has now been reported to be 30 officially dead).

The battle was in Las Varas, of Madera municipality, between La Linea and La Gente Nueva  (Sinaloa).  Several arrests were made.

A confrontation between the military  then ensued between the military who arrived on the scene, and gunmen assuming to be from Sinaloa Cartel.  The Sinaloa commando were attempting to rescue the injured and arrested members of the cartel. That confrontation occurred in the community of the Mesa del Huracán, municipality of Madera.

In just the past week in the same village, 2 policemen were killed and a clandestine grave was discovered containing eight bodies.

The ongoing dispute between the two cartels is over territory.

The attorney General’s office spokesman reports that today’s clash spilled over into El Largo Maderal, and Mesa del Huracan.

About the conflicting number of dead.

First official number was 26 with 3 injured, this was prior to counting the casualties of the second clash with the military.  Then the number was downgraded by Carrasco (see next paragraph), with a rather inartful explanation:

In an interview with EPN puppet Joaquin Lope Doriga, Jesus Carrasco the attorney general of the west region said “We know there exist various numbers  reported of those killed in the confrontation.  At the point when police arrived there were 14, or maybe 17, and could have “reached more”.  Also others in the connecting communities.

He also mentions that there is a practice of “taking bodies” by cartels and family members, which could have occurred prior to authorities arriving.

He added he was not certain who the criminal groups were but maybe those know as “La Linea” and “Cartel de Sinaloa”

Translation:  Probably 30 is a good guess.

From last week...two policemen killed

    1. 2:56 History , Future ? Who knows . I believe if the drug industry were all that good for them they wouldn't be killing each other all the time . I do think it is good they are killing each other off . Maybe this is the "death throws" of the narco industry . One thing is for sure the routes are going to get narrower and the competition is going to heat up . I hope the majority kill each other out and the government kill the rest .

    2. "I hope the majority kill each other out??" wow. they[cartels] have an endless supply of drug addicts which means they have an endless supply of money and in Mexico the poverty is off the charts kids are training to shoot an ak right now as we speak for 300 dolars a month just so they can eat this is a never ending cycle . The corrupt goverments of both Mexico and the U.S. are both to blame .

    3. 9:57 at the core is the USD300/mo which poor clueless kids take as you correctly mentioned. Unless there is a change in drug policy (ie legalization) this cycle of violence will continue until all poor clueless kids have slauthered each other.

Thinking of it: with all poor clueless kids dead the rulung elite in Mexico will have one big problem less to worry about

    7. 7:13 the problem in culombia was that Alvaro Uribe Velez decided to go with the government because he was a "licenciado" to save and to keep face while dealing with his own drug trafficking guerrillas disguised as "drug traffickin' killers of politicians and judges and of his daddy" and his paramilitary "autodefensas Unidas de COLOMBIA AUC and Los PEPES and los 12 Apostoles of his brother Santiago, "el padresito", that the US liked his roll and complicity, and that they bought and sold uribe's bill.of goods and his cocaine to the world, and they practice the Plan Culombia all over Mexico. Another problem is that nobody saw it coming, and the worst part is that not many realize what is going on.
After being Pablo Escibar's bitch as civil aviation officer, "El Varito" got his own father whack, next he murdered.the only witness, daddy's pilot, and started his narci-guerrillas.

  32. The Illiteracy of the Electorate: What is our biggest problem: Ignorance or Apathy? “I don’t know and I don’t care!”

The first priority: Knowing the truth about current leadership. This is critical role of the press, which in Mexico has been a dangerous job.

The abandonment of righteousness weakens the seat of government
and the stability and security of the nation. The abandonment of truth and loyalty to covenants undermines the leadership of a nation.
Bribery is a root issue of private truthfulness (Prov 29:4). Acting on principle rather than driven by expediency. Thus, when integrity is forsaken justice is overthrown.

The minimizing of truthfulness corrupts others so that the entire government becomes corrupt (Prov 29:12). Private morality has vast public implications. Probably a longer take but I don't see things improving anytime on both sides of the border as the moral fabric of both countries is slipping away.

Yeah I saw that article too that Linea were ambushed but later that day, a couple of videos on YouTube and articles came out saying that el 32 of La Linea was responsible for this attack, in that case this would've meant La linea was never ambused but the other way around

    1. It was also said that CDS has around 150 sicarios with them and yet the battle lasted more than two hours. What a bunch of lame ass hitmen CDS must have if it took two hours to not even complete a mission...

  46. Chihuahua has always been CDJ. Chapo has always been trying to stay with Chihuahua but they haven't done smack for 6 years. If "La Linea" was done with, these wars wouldn't still be going on.
