15 Kidnapped from Culiacán Restaurant

From El Debate Posted by Guasa

Culiacan, Sinaloa.- An armed group stormed the Mar and Sea restaurant and deprived about 15 people of their freedom, including a pair of musicians.

The restaurant located at the convergence of the boulevards Sánchez Alonso and Diego Valadez.

It was at 00:30 hours, when several vehicles, including carrying a large group of men with high-powered weapons,  who exited  stormed the premises of a restaurant.

When the evening was abruptly interrupted, the guests tried to flee, but all exits had been blocked by gunmen.

Local employees were forced to the floor and stripped of their cell phones and wallets, while the male clients were taken from the premises.   The ladies present were not bothered, according to a witness's version.

The restaurant was about to close, in fact some customers were already saying leaving in anticipation of its closing,  when the gunmen arrived," said one eyewitness.

He added that there is no exact number, but it is estimated that 15 people, including the two musicians who were entertaining at the restaurant, were forced to board the units in which the command was traveling.

In the parking lot of the restaurant were eight units, allegedly owned by customers who had been kidnapped, one of them, a red compact, was practically at the exit door.

However authorities are saying it was only 8 that were kidnapped.

The undersecretary of Public Security, Cristobal Castañeda Camarillo, reported that so far they have the report of eight people deprived of their freedom, of which only two were identified and is waiting for the complaint to be completed to announce identification of all the victims.

The undersecretary said that in one of the pickups of people who were "lifted" cartridges were found 9 millimeters and .40 caliber.

Last Wednesday, close by to the restaurant,  Alfredo Juarez, owner of an accountancy office was beheaded..

Note:
It was at the same upscale restaurant in February 2014, that the military conducted a 9 hour operation.
This was from a tip that came into authorities about heavily armed men being seen at the eatery.

Also at the restaurant was Archivaldo Guzmán, so of Sinaloa capo, El Chapo.  The military seized a half dozen luxury vehicles in which weapons were discovered, and assault rifles.

Archivaldo was able to escape.  He left the premises without problem, after changing into a waiter’s uniform and apron.

    1. 7:49, Mouth, Have you spent anytime in Culiacan? CDS wholesales to non-CDS middlemen in and in Culiacan alone there are thousands of small time independents, 1 to 20 person organizations that have never had direct business dealings with CDS and never will. Yeah it's likely CDS product they buy - but 1,000s of Sinaloenses living in US driving back to work in the US after Christmas when border check has an 8 hour line back into USA, traveling salesmen that drive a 1/2 key north toward frontera once a month, shrimp boat captain floating a 1/4 kilo to San Felipe to cover fuel expense for the fishing trip, timber or mining company with cars regularly driving over la sierra madre where a 1/2 kilo appreciates quicker going toward Juarez than it does north on Carretera 15.
There are thousands of independent operators that have no affiliation with CDS in Culiacan, and just because something goes down in Culiacan doesnt by default mean its CDS related! LOL! That's silly...childlike! Quit the girls cheerleading gossip squad and you'll be able to think beyond the words...nuthugger and excuse....and you might understand how the big boy world works in real life. Lol!

  5. Julio cesar chavez brother was also shot&killed. Pistoleros rolled up to his house and attempted to rob him he refused and was shot dead. This restaurant kidnapping smells like the chapito/damaso conflict, possibly mini lic sent the order?

    1. do you really think that LIC faction of CDS still has power in culiacan? i doubt about that.

    2. 3:52am; Yes 100%. Since 2001 Dámaso never put real work in with los sinaloenses and he only used his association with Chapo for all he was. Many people from Culiacán don't respect los Lics. Even Manny (DEP) and Javi Torres Félix know Dámaso is nothing and this is why mini lic tried to kill Joel Torres because he needed to make his name.

    5. You all talk alot of shit. Whatever happened to the famous "Fuersas especiales de Damaso" then if Lic was not respected within CDS? For all we know they are the ones causing all the recent havoc in Sinaloa due to the fact that they are no longer needed in the mighty Federation!

    1. Inside the United States it isn't any different. You just have to be a little cautious. How many people die in the United States everyday? When has a big time drug dealer in the states ever been captured in the last 17 years?

    2. @4:48. Yeah how many times do you hear about 15 people getting kidnapped in a restaurant in the USA ? How many times have they found graveyards of unidentified dead bodies in the USA ? How many times do you see on the news a caravan of armed men driving through cities in the USA ? Should i go on ?

    3. Point well taken

    4. Both countries are tied on this drug sales, it's good for economy. Not so good for Mex but U.S gets more benefits from their people being on drugs. Weird but true

    5. @6:47am That's why he said "You just have to be a little cautious". Everything is run behind the curtain in the US, in an extremely low key manner. Their are plenty of men in suits and ties, women in office dress and even servicemen in uniforms(who we like to believe they are ALL heroes) that benefit directly from the drug trade and will do anything to keep it moving.

    6. 6:47 agree 🤘🏼

    7. On the US they are more discreet because they have.a lot to lose, like billions and billions of dollars in bank deposits, fines, real estate and loans that depend on their.continued ability to reap the benefits of thet thing of them.
Compare New York high rises full of million dollar condos to La Chapa's escape hatches or el Mayate luxury caves en la sierra.

  10. Yoiks! The evening was abruptly interrupted. Sounds like something made the world stop turning. LOL
Hmm...local employees? Ok..from the sounds of it..there are 'local' and presumably 'non-local' employees? Not sure what the difference is.
What does " The undersecretary said that in one of the pickups of people who were "lifted" cartridges were found 9 millimeters and .40 caliber." mean? Does it mean that some were killed? Does it mean that unspent cartridges were found in one of the suspects vehicles?
And....what does the beheading of Afredo Juarez have to do with this?
