Sinaloa: Marina kill Pancho Chimal outside Culiacan

Pancho Chimal killed outside Culiacan

Francisco Zazueta Rosales, El Chimal, was killed during a gunfight with Marines, in the town of San Cayetano, in Tepuche, Sinaloa, north of Culiacan.  His identity was confirmed through fingerprints. Numerous weapons including a grenade launcher and .223 caliber rifles, tactical and communications gear were secured at the scene.  it is unknown if others were detained in the action.

Chimal was said to be the leader of Ivan Archivaldo Guzman's cell of enforcers, Los Chimales, and Pancho was one of 5 ranking Sinaloa Mayo Zambada branch members who escaped from Aguaruto, a prison outside of Culiacan.

Tepuche, Sinaloa
These inmates had cells that resembled condos, with drugs, alcohol, and prostitutes easily available, as well as beds, televisions, and food from outside the prison.

Among them were Juan Jose Esparragoza, "El Negro", Alfonso Limon Sanchez, Jesus Pena Gonzalez "El 20", and Guadalupe Felix Rafael Nunez, El Changuito Antrax.  Rafael Nunez, and Limon Sanchez were both named in Operation Narco Polo.  A federal indictment out of San Diego, which targeted upper level Sinaloa operators, and their San Diego distribution and trafficking networks.

Pancho Chimal was captured a month before his escape, initial reports stated it was Ivan Archivaldo who had been detained, in February Pancho Chimal was said to be leading the fight against Los Damaso, upon his escape from prison.

  8. Military intervention by unknown informants will assume? These guys were definitely needed for a war of wars against Damaso. Essential knowledge and fire power for what's becoming a game changer over control of drug trafficking.
Nevertheless the corruption and inept government practices of prison officials aiding efforts of escape is by all means the root of this failed country.
Its citizens who will continue to bear the blunt and affects of a nation under siege by organized crime.
Father in law stated it best many years ago; that its the citizens who initiate bribery to municipal officials and government officials. We are the cause for this corruption. By offering a policeman money for an unwanted infraction. This practice has led to the wide spread of corruption policies which bind Mexico to this day. We have ourselves to blame for partaking in an illegal behavior.
To this day I can truly say I agree with this conception. It's clearly evident that many are eager and willing to bribe or sway an outcome.

    1. @7:27 I agree that low level corruption, like giving a cop 20 bucks to avoid getting a ticket has become the 'Norm" in Mexico but I don't agree that corruption started at that level. I don't think that $20 bribe evolved into a half million dollar a month bribe to the top top cop in charge of fighting cartels and eliminating violence.

To purge the system of corruption you have to start at the top with very stiff penalties for corruption and it will work it's way down. Re-educating the man on the street not to pay a small bribe is not going to do it.

      Delete
    2. @8:44 you r exactly right but who is going to purge the system from the top when the top is corrupt??

Mexicans havhave no alternative but to work towards a revolution. The US would of course be actively against such a revolution since 'destabilization' in the region is not in the US interest.

Great comments, its pervaded nearly every facet of society?

    4. Plata or plomo, that's what motivates corruption. Not what you said. If you don't take the bribe, you die, and you don't want your family in danger. That's why corruption exist.

      Delete
    5. They are all stupid and dumb. How can someone follow orders from an uneducated piece of shit. Shit, they are and like shit they die!!

    6. @ dd: You are correct, in a sense. But, didn't the people elect those in power? Low voter turnout, voting based on emotion rather than reason, outright bribery, and failure to vote, based on informed decisions, are only a part of the problem. Many people are just plain apathetic. The other part of this equation is that anyone seeking election can not get elected without cooperating with the existing power elite, thus reinforcing the cycle of corruption.

    9. @3:43 Destabilization? That is how the US controls Mexico and all other countries where it can benefit from.
The "war on drugs" was created by the US. Research Plan Merida and rapido y furioso. These bastards(CIA) play on both sides of the fence (no pun intended) to create a weak Mexican democracy.

      Delete
    10. @5:05PM The "war on drugs" existed long before Merida Initiative or Fast and Furious existed. How could they have created the war on drugs.

      Delete
    11. "Plan Merida" accelerated the destailization of mexico with the bIllinois of dollars "given to the mexican government for their enhanced "war on drugs", much like ISIS benefited from the billions of dollars "given by the Saudis" to the french to deliver weapons and supplies "to lebanon", all ended in ISIS hands, including american supplies to the "Syrian Rebels".
Same kind 9f help to the mexican armed forces to murder mexicans as they see fit, it had never happened before.
