Revealed: Not One But Three Of El Chapo Guzman's Sons Were Kidnapped And Almost Killed, What Happened

Joaquin El Chapo Guzman has had to go through a lot this year, from his recapture to the torture complaints in prison, and just recently, the kidnapping of his son Jesus Alfredo Guzman. According to the widely circulated report by the press, he and five other men from the Sinaloa cartel were kidnapped on August 15 while at a restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. The armed men were said to be from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. The following was what happened, according to CNN.

“Early on August 15, the seven men stormed into a trendy restaurant on the main drag of Puerto Vallarta, a Mexican beach resort. They interrupted a group of revelers in the white-walled restaurant, separating the men from the women, and left with a high-value captive, according to Mexican authorities.

The kidnapping had been seen as the latest blow to the elder Guzman’s efforts from behind bars to maintain Sinaloa cartel’s dominance in the region amid challenges from an emerging rival, the Jalisco New Generation cartel.”

El Chapo Guzman’s son Alfredo was said to have been released about a week later. That said, an investigation carried out by Riodoce indicates that the supposedly ‘official’ version of events was not entirely accurate. Starting with the kidnapped men, the widely circulated version indicates that only one of El Chapo Guzman’s sons Jesus Alfredo Guzman was kidnapped.

But according to a new report, three of his sons Ivan Archivaldo, Caesar and Alfredo were among them.
According to Borderland Beat, the brothers were celebrating Ivan Guzman’s birthday at the La Leche restaurant when the men stormed in. Apparently, they only brought one bodyguard who was easily overcome by the CJNG gunmen. The following is an excerpt from Borderland Beat detailing this.

“[El Chapo Guzman’s sons] did have a bodyguard with them, but he was easily overcome by the sicarios.

Inside, close to 16 sicarios took control of the Guzman’s, but the group of attackers was in total some 50 armed men. Another of the Guzman brothers, Ovidio, was not at the party, but he was in Puerto Vallarta, and he had opted to stay at the Marriott hotel where all of the brothers had been staying. The reunion at La Leche was for the birthday of Ivan Archivaldo, on the 15th of August, and he had arranged for friends and family to attend, some 16 in number.”

Apparently, El Chapo’s sons together with friends kidnapped were released on August 19. However, Ivan and his bodyguard had been released days earlier. He is believed to have taken over the Sinaloa cartel leadership after his father was recaptured in January. Ivan is said to have opted to stay in Jalisco until his brothers were set free. In the days that followed the kidnapping, Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada who has for a long time led the Sinaloa Cartel alongside El Chapo called for a meeting consisting of the top brass of the organization at a ranch in Sinaloa.

The associates are said to have arrived with heavily armed men, cordoning off the area. The meeting was to discuss the Puerto Vallarta situation after the Guzmans were kidnapped by members of the CJNG drug cartel. Retaliation for the move and the possibility of an all-out war against the Jalisco New Generation Cartel was discussed.

Negotiations between El Mayo and Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes aka El Mencho, the CJNG leader, are said to have taken place, but stalled after the latter refused to release El Chapo’s sons. On why El Mencho chose to kidnap Guzman’s sons, it has been rumored that he wanted to end a stalemate between the two cartels in hotly contested drug trafficking corridors to the United States and so wanted to use them as a bargaining chip. According to the New York Post, Ciudad Juarez and Tijuana regions were some of the areas of contention.

Apparently, El Mencho’s son El Menchito was kidnapped while in prison by Sinaloa cartel operatives as leverage in exchange for El Chapo’s sons. The Federal Government and Rafael Caro Quintero currently a fugitive drug lord, are said to have gotten involved to avert a war between the two biggest drug-trafficking cartels in Mexico, hence the release of El Chapo’s sons.

Meanwhile, El Chapo Guzman’s son Ivan is said to have taken immediate precautions to avoid a repeat of the situation by moving family members to safe locations. He is said to be preparing his men for a strong offense in case more Sinaloa Cartel and CJNG conflicts arise.

They always say he's a double a clone or that he will be out in a few days...lol poor sinaloas, I wonder what they will say when cds goes under.. They will be living in the past remembering El Chapo as the greatest human who walked on planet earth...

Yes I'm Chinola, Del Mero Mazatlan to be exact. If you ask a Chinola where he's from of course he'll respond with pride Sinaloa Is a beautiful state, it gets a bad reputation for drugs, and rats, loudmouths from culiacan but for you to say we all brag about CDS is Bullshit I would never fuck with el chapó. There are SucKas, rats, and punks from every state that's a fact. But like the corrido says "agan cuenta de mafiosos Sinaloa está presente" nothing to be proud of but most of the narcos that have risen from Mexico in the past 40 years have been from SIN with the exception of Los Golfos mis respetos BTW I've lived in Texas and in cali and I've met valientes from everywhere, even the blacks get down. Michoacanos get down but they are just as fantoches as some chinolas but yall never had your own cartel ya'll always worked for someone if it wasn't Golfos it was chinolas so don't go getting all high and mighty remember every dog has his day. Pero como todo sube también baja so enjoy it awhile it last because cuando le toque al mencho i don't want to hear any snitching, or bitching that he didn't go out guns blazing like Tormenta or Botas Blancas 💯

    3. You have to give credit where credit is due. No one cartel has attacked CDS like Mencho and Mochomito has in recent months. CDS has to bring the violence level to an all time high to regain some respect.

    4. So true the DEA and Mexican gov plus nut huggers make a god out of Mencho with all this bullshit about his asian and european dominance, All pure bullshit.

      Delete
    5. 10:06; That is where you are so wrong and you obviously don't have knowledge about history of cartels in Mexico (and Columbia for that matter). CDS could careless if you respect them and they are all about the money. With that said we've seen what the killing of civilians, kidnaping, extortion, etc brings to cartels every single time. Menchos clock is ticking after shooting a helicopter out of the sky and there is nothing he can do to redeem that except disappear and hide. Chapos boys made a mistake fighting the military and CDS leadership made that evident by making Chapos boys try to "clear the record" and deny attacking militar. History has proven for over 40 years that the cartel that just moves the product north, doesn't victimize its citizens, and uses the violence only when absolutely required or to heat up a competitors plaza survives. They don't care about your respect - they're getting your and your mamas money! Jaja; the gob will keep letting CDS do their business while both the cartel and the politicians (US and Mexico) get richer and richer. Mencho will die or disappear in short time.

      Delete
    6. 3:22 How long has it been since Mencho shot down that helicopter out of the sky? How long has it been since his men attacked those 15 state police officers who were looking for him? How long? And that fool Mencho is still running and gunning. In the narco world respect means more than money to the old schoolers. Does the money stop your enemies from attacking you or does respect? Where I'm from the mention of El Chapo or Sinaloa will get you rolled up real quick. They gets no respect on the streets. Many Sinaloa associates switched sides to Carrillo Fuentes just so they could live longer especially with Los Linces lurking. It's not my respect CDS needs to worry about its the respect of their peers. The mere fact the Chapitos got picked up by CJNG means a lot to those who understand the old school way. Flash all the cash you want but if those boys don't respect you they will fuck you up and take your money.

    10. 3:22 You have to be a youngster. CDS has fallen out of favor with the Mexican and US politicos and Mencho is gaining power. Times change in the narco world. It always has. There is no one cartel who stays on top forever. CDS is no different than CAF, Guadalajara Cartel or the Gulf. And eventually it will happen to CJNG but not anytime soon.

      Delete
    11. If you know anything about the CDS then you would know CDS doesn't do well when they are on the defensive. They only do well when they are the aggressors. They took Juarez and the rest of Chihuahua over because they were the aggressors. But we know what Chihuahua looks like now and it's because CDS could not fight off CDNJ defensively. They fought deep into Gulf terroritory but when Osiel released the Zetas after them they pushed CDS out of the majority of Gulf held areas. You CDS Leche Lickers truly don't understand how things work. Personally I will just STFU then sit back and wait for the shit to hit the fan for CDS. When it does I will be back to laugh and tell you I told you so. CDS is due for a high ranking member's capture or death? Who will it be? Probably not Mayo but more than likely a Chapito or Guano. Bet!!

    12. 3:22; you are obviously young and buy into a lot of what your neighborhood vatos are telling you. Your living in fantasy - CDS is real world.

  8. If true, then Mencho must have some good intelligence/spies to know the movements of Chapitos on that particular night, a very cunning and balsy move.
There is a chance those were cops or military moonlighting for Mencho to help with the kidnapping by the way they took over the restaurant and subdued them efficiently.
It also could have been a message to Chapo from the Mex govt to keep quiet after his extradition.

How does the son of one of the biggest cartels in the country not have around the clock PROTECTION? This makes no sense! I did 6 years flat in TDC and even leaders of families like Eme and TS for each unit had soldiers protecting them at all times when not locked down for the night or for count.
Menchito would have way more protection than gang leaders here in US prisons have!
If this version is true then Mencho is A DUMBASS for not having 10-20 sicarios protecting his son at all times!!
It sounds like his son is doing his time like some regular schlub. Probably not even putting money on his sons books for commissary. Lol

  17. This is why Chicago has so many gangs, drugs and murders!Funding the CPS is a losing proposition. CPS spends about $14,250 per student providing a lackluster education. 85% of CPS students are black or Hispanic (not PC, but true). Some schools in the CPS system graduate fewer than 60% of their students. The overall rate appears to be about 67%.
Even assuming that the 67% who graduate can speak passable English, read, and perform basic math, CPS wastes $1.9 billion per year trying to "educate" students who are problematic at best.
As far as CPS teachers go…from Forbes, “Currently, the median* annual salary for Chicago teachers is $76,000, or $14,000 more than average city residents with a graduate or professional degree. There are also generous retirement benefits; for example, teachers who retired after 2011 receive $77,000 annual pensions.” * - this means that half the teachers make more than $76K
From The Daily Caller, “Public school teachers in Chicago who took the test (ACT) when they were in high school averaged a score of 19 out of a possible 36 — which is worse than the average median score for all students nationwide.”
Does anyone not in a mental health institution believe the CPS is sustainable?
Possible solution: Educate through 6th grade or age 12, then cull those students who clearly will not benefit from six more years of loitering in classrooms. I realize this will never happen. What will occur is that Chicago and the state of IL will declare bankruptcy (both are already de facto bankrupt) and collect welfare from the other 49 nearly bankrupt states. Maybe Puerto Rico will come to the rescue.

I don't see how people are still saying they doing big things when Jalisco or excuse me a tweaked out Michoacáno with a Jalisco baby momma got punked for everyone they kidnapped. The theory they payed a ransom or agreed to give up a trafficking corridor holds no weight. CDS would rather watch it burn before they let any one that's not a Sinaloa family ties take over and the ransom theory then cjng and cuinis don't have the money the bs articles claim they have if they demanded money also giving them back to let the Guzman regroup and attack cjng. 20. Can someone explain why they always fight over so called trafficking corridors? Lets take Juarez for example. How many THOUSANDS of cars and trucks pass that border every day? What is there to fight about? Everyone and their grandmother could smuggle trough that border and all others to. If you are the only cartel smuggling at one crossing it mean 100% of the drugs taken will be yours. If there are more cartels moving drugs there customs might be busy busting a truck with drugs from another cartel and yours are safely going trough. Only thing that make sense to fight over would be LOCAL DOMESTIC sales of drugs just like gangs fight over turf in the US, But fighting over border crossings makes no sense to me.

    1. You have a lot to learn.

      Delete
    2. The narco world in MX is relatively small. Borders towns are important because storing and crossing multi-ton quantities per month requires a large infrastructure. Sure you and I can risk crossing a brick or two if we can get our hands on some and risk it but for these large cartels it has to be a calculated risk and they have to remove as much risk as possible greasing local officials. So if you can control a border town and you have the means and resources to sustain it you have the opportunity to yield a large return on your investment.

      Delete
    3. Other cartels bringing their drugs across means someone is buying those drugs. Not your drugs... same reason people get shot for street corners. If your corner is hot. And everyone goes there. No one wants to be like hey let's share bud.. it's money money money. If you own every boarder crossing you own all drugs and money. That's why they fight for it. (Stupid I know)

      Delete
    4. I've wondered this exact concept many times. I'm sure there's a good reason that few know about

      Delete
    5. Seriously? You should read up on how cartels operate. Controlling plazas is extremely important to them. Border plazas are some of the most important. Yes if you are the only cartel smuggling drugs through a particular crossing it means a certain number of the loss will be busted. But the vast majority of them will not be busted. Border territory is prime cartel real estate. It also doesn't mean other cartels won't use it. Cartels that aren't at war with each other will cooperate with one cartel paying the other for permission to use their territory. So not only is the cartel who controls a border plaza able to smuggle tons of drugs through it, but they also make money off others who pay them for the privilege. I'm surprised this has to be explained to someone who has managed to end up on this particular site.

    7. Well you still did not explain anything so I guess you dont even understand the question. If cartel A control Juarez what would/could stop cartel B to ship all their drugs trough there? You do understand what they do is illegal and "secret" right? Its not like legally controlling a port. Cartel B could load drugs in to truck far far from the border area and let it just go trough with regular cargo. What is cartel A going to do about it? Srill makes no sense at all, fighting over local turf to SELL drug in that area makes sense,,,not fighting over who can ship on highway XYZ

    8. Except for the fact that the Cartel that had the plaza has the border patrol agents on both sides of the border working for them. They also control the police in the city and have spied everywhere. They normally stop many vehicles and trucks through their corrupt police, and that means local and state. If another cartel tried to get a load through and they are stopped before they even get near the border and searched and the load is found, they are in deep shit. That's why they pay a fee to the Cartel who controls the plaza and that is like buying insurance that their load makes it over the border to the USA.

    9. 10:56 ,
life is very short for a capo. It would make no sense not to try to maximize profits for your family after you pass.
Also, you want to claim turf so people will respect you i guess

  21. What happen is Mexican goverment step in to save them, WHY? Mexican goverment will not get their bribes, payooffs on their monthly basis, if the kids were dead

  22. Mencho should of takin out the kids, Mencho would at least have a fighting chance. Now Menchos days are numbered. CNJG needs a border corridor to move their product, and make money, they dont have that, its the Same O Michoacan cartel with differnt name

  27. Cds finished of la familia and ct now they will go after cjng. I Don't know why michoacanos keep on trusting the snitch cds cartel. They are probably better of with zetas, at least they will go at you and they would g aveva fighting chance. Bu cds just calls the DEA or Mexican government and gives them all their information and it's a done deal. Cds gets more time to operate for being informants and the others get fu(ked. ..

    1. Then maybe the others should get with the program and go with the DEA 7:42.It's all about lasting in the game as no 1 seems to want to retire and go out of country to reside.

  29. Nuthugger this... Nuthugger tht... Fuck all tht! Fact is... Where was all this attackin when Senor Chapo was out frm 01 to his capture in 14?.. Where was all this attackin after Senor Chapo excaped in 15?.. There was no attackin... Yet people commenting like Mencho & Chapo's nephew Tito got big balls & heart... GTFOH... Those are prime examples of COWARDS! They waited like the cowards they are to do some attacking... Just weak sauce... Specially when Mencho & Tito isn't lackin in money, weapons, & sicarios... So miss me with all tht CJNG & BLO tough talk... Plus CJNG & BLO could've murdered 3 of Senor Chapo's sons, some of Nacho's, & RCQ's family members... All were released w/o harm... Proof of weak sauce... CDS is still the strongest & most organized cartel in the world... Period!

    2. True. Remember when chapo wanted Juarez so he had el Nino de oro killed on his own turf?
      That's some ballsy shit

    3. Yeah well 6:10 we see how that turned out. CDJ came back like a raging cause of herpes. All CDJ did was boast their numbers quietly with La Linea, formed Los Linces and then started hitting Chapo's people when they were ready. You can have the biggest balls in the world but your balls can't help you if you don't have the stamina to finish the job. Catch my drift? When it was all said and done Chapo had to tuck those balls and run like if he was Buffalo Bill in "Silence of the Lambs".
