Chihuahua: 7 killed 1 injured at Chihuahua City motel attack

Guest Reporter material translated from vivren ojinaga, la parada

Seven people were killed and one left injured yesterday afternoon in Chihuahua city.  The massacre transpired at the Motel “Alfer” located on a highway leading to Ciudad Juarez, this confirmed by the attorney general’s office of Chihuahua.

The 7 killed were all males, including a 16 year old.

The names of those killed; Jaime Galaviz Rivas, Leopoldo Santillán Galaviz, Ivonne Iravin, Ambrosio Victoriano Rodelo, Francisco Javier Pérez Nuevo (16 years), Manuel Humberto León Rivera and Hugo Estrada Espinoza.

The victims and the suspected assassins both belong to rival drug gangs who sell drugs in the capital. The spokesman for the attorney general’s office said that there are three gangs selling meth in the city, which has increased consumption of the drug,  even more than in Juarez, and people who met at the motel were part of  those gangs.  In fact the 16 year old victim was using meth when the shooting began.

Witnesses state that the assassins fled aboard a Ram pickup which was later found abandoned.

The assassins who busted into a motel, used the Dodge Ram truck that was stolen two months ago of the parking of Soriana, police said.

Among the eight victims, was the wife son of one of the male victims.

  4. This motel was said to be used to sell crystal meth. More than likely CDS. It was also said that the killers and victims knew each other so it could be that there is instability (or downright infighting), just like a previous article had mentioned here on BB between cells of CDS!

    2. La Linea does not sell meth. Chihuahua newspapers are also saying that the people killed inside where also not innocents. Looks like it's either La Linea attacking CDS or infighting within CDS. La Linea has also learned to attack without harming innocents FYI as evidenced by recent events which have been seen in Juarez!

    5. Gente nueva operate like some tweeked out meth monkeys who get ambushed all the time. And when they get caught they get their asses handed to them. I'm sure La Linea told them to leave town and when they didn't they got felt with. CDNJ don't play around when you come into their turf without permission.

  11. On that same date, there were 8 persons murdered in Cd. Juarez, with a 9th body found "encobijado" (wrapped in a blanket). A few days before that, there were seven people killed in Valle de Juarez, three dead in a confrontation with Army personnel in Porvenir, about 35 miles east of Juarez, and four executed by Aztecas in San Agustin, about 15 miles east of Juarez. These are just a few of the recent murders in Juarez. It seems that things are heating up again.

    3. There are 4 states to enter, Cali Arizona w MX and Texas- three organizations have texas split up, it seems like BLO have had NM and AZ for a While andwith the amount of ground lost in California looks like the federation is trying to get it through by any means.
They should have just shared AZ with the BLO but nooooo.
If you share the cake you won't get indigestion

    4. Blo don't own New Mexico. They might not even own AZ. La Linea is active in NM and perhaps they allow BLO passage through there but NM is very much Linea all the way to Palomas.

    6. @3:23 why do you yourself want La Linea out of Chihuas? They are the rightful owners of the state and have for the most part learned to leave innocents alone and deal with drug dealing only. They are by no mean saints but are helping cleanse the state of CDS who is only selling cheap meth that is killing people left and right after only so many uses! Which of course CDS don't sell meth in Sinaloa for that reason.

      Delete
    11. 6:06 so what? Everyone is a drug dealer to someone. Chapo and Mayo are drug dealers for the governors of Sinaloa. There are no more Casas de La Muerte in Chihuas either. Sinaloans never change their mentality of anyone. They think they are the heroes of the world.

  17. On a related note, I wonder why they shake people down for relatively small amounts of money, like local vendors, and trucks are constantly stolen if they can just buy what they want. It seems like they would all have a boatload of money, but they don't seem to. It must all go to the top. If you look at pictures of people that are most likely affiliated, they might have a nice watch and clothes, but are still living in poverty. Lots of people assume everyone who is affiliated with the cartels are rich, but I don't think the mid level people get much money out of it.

  24. Yes. By the time you realize it's not worth it for the level of danger you have to undergo, it's too late anyway. If you have to sell your soul to keep your family alive, at least it'd be good to not have to worry about still being poor. Doesn't look like that happens most of the time.

  25. On another note there is a new crime cell here in Chihuahua City. The other day they held up and and kidnapped the owner of an expendio where they sell alcohol. They also beat brutally the customers and then stole two of the customers vehicles. This was right across the street from the main office of the Vialiadad (Traffic police). They then continued on to other businesses randomly kidnapping and robbing people and taking more vehicles. This was in the daytime. The problem is you can be in what you think is one of the safest areas here and to be honest there is no area that is safe. There are safer neighborhoods, but they are more upscale and many have security. They are saying this group is in line with some of the corrupt police here.
