Cells of "Cholo Ivan" have divided into various group; Sedena

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Riodoce article

Subject Matter: "Cholo Ivan" Gastellum

Reporter: Alejandro Monjardin
After the detention of Orso Ivan Gastelum Cruz, "Cholo Ivan", the group of criminals that he controlled has fractured into various cells with different leaders, advised a commander of the Ninth military zone, Rogelio Teran Contreras.

The military commander said that the criminals that were under the command of "El Cholo" continued operating in the central North region of the State.

"There has been an area where he has always been working, the group of Cholo Ivan and all the remnants have stayed there".

"The divided groups continue operating, carrying out hydro carbon theft, extortion, vehicle robbery, and crimes of that nature, these groups are still alive", he indicated.

He mentioned that each one of the splinter groups had its own leader, but that they all continued operating for the Sinaloa cartel.

"There are various leaders that are operating there, they fractured, but continue operating in the area of Mocorito and all of Buenavista, Caitime, and all their zones", he indicated.

El Cholo Ivan was captured on the 8th of January in Los Mochis, together with his leader from the Sinaloa cartel Joaquin El Chapo Guzman Loera.

  1. capturing leaders only creates more havoc and crime as it splits the organization a good example is BLO which has split into like 10 smaller groups but has increased the crime in the areas of operation.

El Chapo is the only one that can keep every one under a single command .

    1. You didn't say this when every other capo was caught, just Chapo. They should capture Zambada also, fuck that!

    2. Bullshit! CDS is/was structured to continue to operate with impunity when a boss is KIA or arrested. It has absolutely nothing to do with Chapito himself to keep plaza bosses in line...rather more to do with greedy power seekers seeking an opportunity to expand their power.

Notice this happened when Cholo Ivan was busted...not Chapo.

    3. Bullshit delta you dont know what youre talking about. Anyone around long enough knows el chapo messed up the whole sinaloa cartel and after he did he never got the Beltran plazas under.control and that means no preace or control under one command all he did was get himself arrested.

    7. Well done with the statement about el chapo.. He really is the best leader for his cartel. Shit always gets so much more unpeaceful unless hes in control.

    8. Just in case this is not obvious to you (or anybody else) reading the BB regularly: government policy is NOT about reducing crime!

The aim of Government policy is to prevent criminals outside of the government from becomming powerful.

This is best ilustrated by the so-called 'Kingpin Strategy' imported from the US which does NOT reduce crime, does NOT reduce the flow of drugs BUT undermines the (economic and political) power of those leading crime syndicates other than the cartel we commonly refer to as 'the government'.

    9. Please don't go around showing you ignorance as if it was a Gold Medal. All criminal groups need to be killed or captured. Those who really know how thinks work will understand that you can't not stop all the bullshit from one day to another, specially when the
Mexican govberment allowed the criminals to grow so much over the years.

    10. ...Sometimes it is how they start.. Then when stuff get out of hands, things get really ugly like in the middle east with isis... Things don't stay the same forever, they change. What's the purpose of letting criminal organizations get gigantic to then later loose control over them? ..

  12. most people just dont have a clue as to how much power el cholo ivan had...his group of people that were under him were ruthless and well known..el cholo ivan was well respected and wielded a lot of power and influence..other than El Chapos sons, ivan cholo was Chapos right hand man..and he did a lot of dirty work for chapo..not to mention ivan cholo was and still is super loyal to el chapo...and that just goes to show how much more powerful el chapo was and still is..he will escape soon and there have also been rumors about el cholo ivan planning an escape..both have the power and influence to do so...also i heard rumors that its Adelmo Niebla González who is really behind the recent attacks against el chapos faction...he is a very powerful old school capo who has been around the game for a while now so i wouldnt put anything past him..he also has the power and influence along with the money to make a move against chapos faction..he to has escaped from a mexcian prison by building a tunnel..

98% of the worlds top criminals have been arrested at some point in time...its part of the game..and there have been a ton of more powerful capos than cholo ivan that have been arrested before..chapo being one of them..doesnt mean they are any less powerful..sometimes things happen..and yes 100% cholo ivan was very powerful..dont think because he got arrested along with the worlds most powerful drug lord that it makes him any less powerful..cholo ivan had 100s of people under his command and he operated very well for chapos faction of the sinaloa cartel..

  14. That goes without saying. Any para-military type organization needs ranks, lack of rank results in fractures and insubordination. Cholo vago was a Lt for chapo in this case a General. The problem is the structure breaks at cholo Ivan. Point is to keep business running like a military campaign. You ALWAYS have a next man from a lower rank willing amd capable to move up and handle the job of his predecessor.

  15. CDS is involved in extortion ?no way I thought only Zetas did that lol there it is people. CDS are a bunch of hypocrites . Chapo went out like a coward , he's gonna spend the rest of his life in jail like an animal , on the other hand Arturo Beltran Leyva lived by the gun and died by the guns that was one extremely intelligent and brave man , my respects. Not just anyone can control Mexico city, Acapulco, Chilpancingo, Cuernavaca, Monterey, northern Sinaloa, Mazatlan, Puebla , Nayarit. It takes a special kinda boss for that , it had to be the Boss of Bosses don Arturo Beltran Leyva may you r.i.p. You helped out a lot of people, he even build a school in Sierra by where he was born , in all his plazas thieves and kidnappers , child molesters of anyone who messed with innocent peoplewere killed on the spot if he found out about it or his people, he killed his top lieutenants el MP y el borrado in charge of his plaza in the whole state of Morelos and parts of Guerrerojust because they were kidnapping innocent people. Now that's honor , I hope Calderon one day doesn't suffer and chokes on his own blood for being a coward .
