Chapo's wife says Chapo does not know "supposed" daughter

Written by Lucio R. Borderland Beat

The circus continues…

In a letter to Reforma Emma Coronel, the wife of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, rejects the claim of Rosa Isela Guzmán, that she is the oldest child of Chapo. Or that he visitedthe U.S. twice after his most recent tunnel escape from Altiplano Prison.

The Guardian a U.K. news outlet, published articles based on interviews with Rosa and her assertions.  The  Guardian vetted the California woman, verifying her birth certificate, and other documents, along with albums of photos of her and Chapo, including some taken during his supposed trips to the U.S. The Guardian also received a confirmation from a minister who is a close friend of Chapo’s mother, Consuelo Loera,

Coronel states that Rosa wrote letters to El Chapo,  while he was in prison, claiming that her mother told her she was the daughter of the Sinaloa Capo. Although he responded, according to Coronel, he could not remember Rosa’s mother Maria Luisa.

Coronel says there will “be an investigation”, and a DNA test may be requested.

In the interview, Rosa made several claims that could hurt Chapo.  Claims about his ties and protection to the Mexican government, and an agreement to allow him to conduct business without any intervening by the government.

Rosa also stated that El Chapo’s partner, El Mayo, had betrayed Chapo.

In the letter sent by Emma Coronel:

Armida and Bernarda, sisters of Joaquin, say they have never heard of the existence of this person, so it is obvious that she is talking nonsense,  since none of the Guzman Loera  family knows or can identify her.  Therefore, we disclaim the statements of this woman and and claims kinship with Joaquin and family.

The wife of Chapo said that neither she nor her daughters have lived in the US and if they had, would not necessarily deny it because they are US citizens.  This is in response to Rosa’s claim that Emma and the twins lived in the U.S. for a year.

Emma Coronel asks the supposed daughter of her husband:

"DO NOT LEND YOURSELF TO THIS SORT OF THING, THE SITUATION IS QUITE DIFFICULT AND DELICATE FOR THE FAMILY AND IS NOT NECESSARY FOR PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE FAMILY TO GET INVOLVED TO AFFECT MORE STRESS TO OUR FAMILY”.

Is she or isn’t she?

The jury is out on this one.  Although she was vetted, there are some eyebrow raising moments when reading her interview.  First of all, she claims Chapo visited her to see the home he purchased for her.

Really?  The worlds most wanted drug trafficker, on the run, chances a trip to the U.S. to see a house?  Wouldn’t photos/videos do?

And her claim of being  with her “father”, in May 1993 in a Guadalajara airport parking lot, when a group of hitmen dispatched by the rival Tijuana cartel targeted the wrong car, killing a Roman Catholic cardinal, Juan Jesús Posadas Ocampo, and six other people, that just seemed improbable.

If she has fabricated the story, and placing all the effort into the ruse, the looming question is.

Why?

She has nothing to gain and much to lose.  Placing herself and children in jeopardy, not to mention the prying eye of the U.S. government, investigating her businesses and the origins of the funds to purchase her California home.  She says it was a gift from Chapo.  But from legal funds.

Legal funds?

    1. Either way 938, Guzman is sanctioned from business deals in the U.S., and anybody in the U.S. is sanctioned from doing business deals with Guzman. Whether the sanctions are enforced or not regards other matters. However, Emma and Rosa will likely lose more than their weekly allowance exploiting what they think they know about Guzman on his merry-go-round

    2. 2:33 finally somebody with a reasonably intellect . Everybody seems to think (including Chapo) that he will get off light or they will let him go . The only way he wont get punished is if a jury finds him innocent . His deal he intends to make , although it is probably a good bargaining chip , it wont buy him as much as he thinks . He will be very lucky if he can bargain for a small enough sentence that there is some possibility of him still being alive . I talked to locals that are here in the US from Mexico and they don't even comprehend that these rich narcos can lose everything that can be found . There will be seizures that we will never hear about .
After world war 2 we seized Nazi loot , loaned it back to Germany and collected interest on it .

    3. 2:33 giving your children money,im sure, isnt the same as doing business with someone..If he gave her the money and she chose to buy a house and open a business and the money is legit then No...those sanctions would not apply.

    4. You could not be more wrong. It is called money laundering. Buying anything with illegal funds, is unlawful.

    5. 420 and 553. You two really know how to complicate things. 420 thank you. However, you bring up history? What does history have to do with it? Indeed the U.S. judicial system is corrupt, yet why encourage it?

553? You cannot be serious. Do you even understand that Guzman does not have any legal corporations in his name, or legal businesses for that matter, to give legit large amounts of money to his children? Guzman could not even make his money legit through auctions, selling and buying likely, in other words recycling, his own material objects. He also likely can no longer comprehend that his money is dirty due the amount of it. True, it may not be considered 100 percent money laundering, that is YET

      604. It is only money laundering if Rosa flips, sells, or auctions the house for or against profit, and gives the money back to Guzman. Or even gifts the house to another and that person flips, sells, or auctions the house, returning the money to Guzman or even a family member-considering that family member now appears to be on Guzman's payroll. Do you see how that works?

      Recall Escobar's mini-mansion in Florida?
Guzman is sleeping with a Do Not Disturb sign on his door. Let him rudely awaken himself

    6. @ 4:20. The bargaining chip is for Mexico not the U.S. The U.S. does not care that the politicians, police, and military in Mexico are getting shot up in Mexico. I slightly doubt politicians, police, and military in the U.S. are on Guzman's payroll. Guzman will eventually end up in the U.S. federal penitentiary system. The only ways Guzman will get a lighter sentence in the U.S. is by manipulating the prostitution networks, which are not as professionally stable as they use to be, or by turning and taking down cartels, which includes his own. It appears grim

    7. 7:59 criminals, bankers, layers.... All buy homes in Florida because Florida law protects the home from seizure. It's the only state that does I think...

    8. There will be seizures . A few years back , in texas a guy won the Texas Lottery . The government knew he was a drug dealer and he could not show legitimate earnings . He lost his lottery money base on the assumption the $1 ticket was bought on illegally earned dollar . Just like quick money without working for it has its perks there can always be disadvantages . The risk is why it pays so well .

    15. Ok I will help everyone in this matter. First off the house is only questionable at this point due to hearsay. Second of all it depends on who's name is on the house. The US will not run up and take a home from her without substantial proof it was bought by Chapo. Anything this man has bought and can be proven he is the owner, can be confiscated due to his illegal activities. To the party that thinks giving money to your child is not a crime, it can be if it is in the form of real estate. You are not talking about a hard working father with 2 jobs that helped his daughter the best he could. We are talking about a man who has done nothing legal since the age of 15. With that said any properties that are in his name and possibly even family members names if there is reason to believe they are part of the drug trade, can and will be taken. Chapo cannot use his own money at this point to pay for a lawyer. Anything the 2 governments are aware of are seized. Mexico may differ and allow him access to his money as laws there fail to make sense anyway. The US will seize any properties to pay the many fines and restitution he would receive along with his sentencing. Keep in mind we are talking several states that have been affected by his actions and that meansquit a bit of money. Sorry speaking from law experience here. The house could be taken depending on the deed circumstances. As far as this woman being called a wife. Not the case. If Chapo comes to the US, she will never see him ever again. Only his actual wife. The first and only one he married.

      Delete
    16. 634. "The US will seize any properties to pay the many fines and restitution he would receive along with his sentencing." That means the U.S. accepts dirty money. If the U.S. federal reserve bank incinerates their own money that is clean due to reasons such as expired, old, or whatever, do you think they will allow Guzman to pay for his fines and restitutions from his seized properties and monies? The cats and mice will be out to play when Guzman reaches the U.S. and considering this, his assets will be scorched to prevent the militia game.

  3. Lucio, did you write this? Anyways, A few years ago it was reported by many that have personally worked for Chapo that he likes to see things for himself. Inspecting loads for himself, properties and so on.So it's not to far fetched for him to risk a visit just to view a home.

  5. Sounds like Chapo has had so many women without 'protection' he's lost track of the number.Mexican politicians probably want to get to the bottom of this but of course can't do anything. She's in the US.They don't have any control. Now Emma never mentioned if her kids are by Vicente Zambada and does this woman visit him but guess not if he's in witness protection. For an American she does seem to know a little too much about Mexican going ons.Was she paid by a rival?Who would take her DNA?DEA is going to be all over her now because she sure opened a can of worms and yes Emma is going to say it's BS this woman because it's implicated her husband.Maybe it is BS but maybe it's not.Guess we all will have to kick back with our sodas[or beer]and wait for the next episode!

  6. The question why can be answered clearly by more proof. In these articles they mention supposed photographs, where are they? Ones showing Chapo with her or her mother. It cannot be completely written off being Chapo has no idea really of who he may have fooled around with as a one night stand. Also why even concern ourselves with what this so-called wife(who really isn't a wife) says. The so-called wife is nothing more then another knocked up woman of his. With that being said, why dispute the possibility of yet another one. Yes, I am sure she fabricated the travel to the US to see the house or the supposed attendance at an attempted hit. This is probably one of many who have details of being a Chapo child. Remember, no one really knows where the heck this drug dealing pervert was for years.

  17. I was honestly confused as to why this daughter did the interview. All she did was hurt Chapo with more evidence to be used against him and put herself and her family in jeapordy by revealing her name, face, state of residence and the businesses she owns. Rival cartels would love to get their hands on Chapo's family members, so why does she want the whole world to know who she is and where she lives?

I see nothing but downside from this move. What possible benefit is there for doing this interview, can anyone tell me? Is it really as irrational as some woman wanting attention and fame and to let everyone know who her daddy is? I just don't get why this daughter is doing all this

In the old days when the mobs were running Chicago and New York, if the man was arrested, the women went away quietly. It wasn't until that reality show "Mob Wives that you ever saw them again. That was only because it is not as bad as it was back then.
