Cities de Crystal: San Diego & Tijuana

Cities of Crystal

You can walk around San Diego, and see the crystal.  The homeless addicts who shuffle out of their lairs, around downtown and East Village, picking the scabs on their face, the kids on the trolley, eyes glazed black with meth.....The cheap, dirty, bleak motels all over Point Loma, Clairemont, Linda Vista, Ocean Beach, up and down the coast....outposts of crystal addicts, dealing out of the rooms, inhaling lungfuls from a pipe, weighing out grams on a small digital scale, like mice and rats fleeing from the light of day....The floors, tiers, holding tanks of South Bay, George Bailey, Vista, gang members, drug dealers, addicts, homeless fill the ranks of a dangerously overcrowded local jail system....The runners, mothers, working class, mules who cycle through the federal system, arrested coming through San Ysidro with dozens and dozens of tightly wrapped pounds of shimmering, pure, crystal meth.....

Crystal seized in Tijuana, January 2016
You see it in Tijuana too.....The tienditas, the addicted who roam around Zona Norte and colonias in Eastern Tijuana, where drug shops are protected by the municipal police, and their operators and owners engage in bloody wars for increasingly valuable turf....burned out, dim stash houses with victims tied to metal chairs, blindfolded and beaten....

California Attorney General Kamala Harris drug assessment in early 2014 revealed that 70% of the crystal meth in the United States comes through San Diego's San Ysidro point of entry.  The result is staggering.  Millions are spent annually as the state and federal systems overflow with drug possession and trafficking cases, federal prosectors indict, plea out, hundreds of people a year....yet it still comes.  47% of male detainees in local custody are under the influence of crystal meth.  Crystal is linked in over 1,000 death since 2010, including murder, car accidents, overdoses.

Crystal seized in 2011: Operation Jack Hammer
The addicts schemes and crimes are wide ranging, credit card fraud, car theft, counterfeiting, property theft and car theft are among the most common.  Like so many locusts and termites they steal, ravage, pillage, destroy, until they are arrested, and taken through the system.  Men hack arms off with machetes in Southeast San Diego neighborhoods, execute young women, whom they had previously befriended, the amount of murder, chaos, depravity linked to meth is astounding.

In Tijuana, they murder, torture, kidnap in much greater numbers, due to the lack of infrastructure and government control/complicity.  Tijuana has seen over 65 murders in the first 30 days of 2016, off hand, I would estimate 3/4 are linked to drug trafficking, the majority being crystal, or heroin. And the other crimes as well, theft of vehicles, property, etc, push the cities residents even further from security.  Stash houses and vehicles are seized, dozens and dozens of pounds are confiscated, and yet it continues to pour into San Diego, un-phased.
Crystal seized at the San Ysidro point of entry

The crystal seeps into the city, pouring through open wounds, infecting the city and those who come across it....San Diego is a hub for big crystal loads heading all over, but the price has plummeted locally, pounds dropping to around 3,000 dollars.  In 2010, Armando Villareal, 'El Gordo' ran a trafficking and enforcement crew that trafficked dozens of pounds weekly....The price was often as much as 5,500, even 10,000.  The end result is very cheap, very available, very pure crystal. Everywhere.

Men and women filter in from the streets and jail, to rehabs, county funded halfway houses, recovery homes, sober livings which occupy real estate all across the city.  They tell their stories in rooms across both crystal cities, addicts sharing their stories, getting another day clean.   US Attorneys extradite suspects from Tijuana, and sentence them to decades in prison.  Women take a hit and work out of a sleazy motel room off Imperial.

There is no answer here, there is no solution, it's an infection, a disease, a virus, mutating and defying everything has it shifts and adjusts to serve it's needs and wants...

    4. It drives me absolutely bat shit crazy when people or the media makes statements while excluding vital information.

Even if it is 100% pure "Methamphetamine Hydrochloride" or as the actors on Drugs Inc. like to call it, "Mexican Super Meth", the Mexican variant is only 50% pure as far as "quality" goes. Mexican Meth, Super Meth, Ice or whatever you want to call it is manufactured via Reductive Amination of P2P resulting in "racemic" Methamphetamine meaning a combination of 50% Levomethamphetamine (L-Meth) and 50% Dextromethamphetamine (D-Meth).
D-Meth is what real dope is and used to be when it was manufactured via Pseudoephedrine RP/I2 reduction which produces 100% D-Methamphetamine! It is possible to separate the two isomers (L/D) by isolating the sought after "D-Meth" with a few additional steps in the final processing. CDS was doing this for a while and stopped sometime in 2012, more than likely after realizing Americans are pigs and won't give a shit as long as you just keep the wheels greased and continue sending the rivers of slivers but more importantly they saw the amount of money they were literally throwing away. For every thousand pound batch of methamphetamine produced they were essentially throwing away 500 pounds which translates to about $2.5 million dollars per thousand pounds, multiply that by 10 to 20 thousand pounds monthly and it's a no brainer why they stopped doing it.

In addition any meth that comes in giant chunks or monster shards is pretty much garbage. Pure d-meth will not and can not crystallize to such a form "without" some type of impurity (cut) added to it which is how the Mexicans do it. The cut they use actually tests positive on L.E. field tests and is added to the final process in which it binds with the actual meth creating that "Mexican Super Meth". lol

It would be interesting to see that happening up north in canada, how would their "government" handle the situation of seeing their nationals all addicted to meth, would they do like they do in the usa? ... Or would they end up nabing 7:03 for getting rich selling one of the most addictive drugs in the planet? Now that...

    4. Yeah they had a 'big bust' at the Alberta border into Canada a few days ago.According to border patrol they caught a woman with 4 lbs.of meth. They considered that the biggest bust they have seen for meth surprisingly. It's not big here, herion either but Vancouver's east side[port city]different story.

  6. Fantastic article. Disgusting what humans do for money, but the root of the problem lays with the mexican politicians not the traffickers! I'm not justifying their wctions but if the people of mexico recieved the help they deserve we wouldn't see so many of them turn to drugs as their source of income!

  8. This is one of the finer articles that I've read in the last few weeks. This is just San Diego. Imagine other cities across the US. Look at New Hampshire and epidemic they are experiencing. And we aren't even talking about Chicago, Cleveland, Washinton DC, Atlanta. It's loco!

  9. Government funding for recruiting centers masked as "rehabilitation centers..."
--the CT had some of them in cd juareeez didn't they? And many people got killed for messing other people's business with their rehabilitation BS...
--if the government stopped funding "rehab" and leave the perps in jail for at least 6 months after some big tablazos en las nalgas it may be different, the taliban had no budget for rehab, just some whips and tablazos, AND IT WAS WORKING, until somebody came with their dancing boys for the mustaphases and amapola plantations for the masses...but this crystal is straight from China isn't it? Can't make no intervention at the source, unless you catch some mexicans processing it over there...that is how you make chinese billionaires from people that earns $0.40 cents a week (usd)
--Meth addicts can work looong hours, in case someone cares to invest and provide jobs there, 3.00 dls and hour will do, I have seen people work for 3.00 at the start of the day and 3.00 at the end of the day, cash, they had obama food stamps but obama was not even a congressman yet, how come?

  10. The solution to this problem is easy: abandon prohibition!

Give the addicts what they want without having to struggle for it. Let them buy AND CONSUME the meth through a legal channel legally.

Keep all sales outside of the legally approved channel prohibited like now. The result would be that nobody would buy on the black market (because the cheaper and safer drugs would come through the legal channel) and all the crime associated with getting the drugs would disappear.

The second MAJOR advantage would be that there would be no drug pusher around anymore. Nobody would have any economical reason to motivate anybody else to try meth.

The number one arketing trick used by the pusher currently: to give away for you to try would disappear. Why? Because as yoon as you get addicted you would buy through the legal channel!

Yes, you would have - just like we do now - have crack/meth houses around, but the government would decide where to put them as opposed to the mob.

Regulation instead of prohibition is the ONLY sane answer.

    1. Stop. You are making too much sense. These fools can't think outside their little box...all I hear from everyone is BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!!!! lol. Fucking idiots.

    2. You can't really condone the legalization of crystal meth. That drug destroys people. It consumes their minds and makes them worthless. A meth addict unable to hold a job will still turn to crime to finance their habit.

      Delete
    3. There are approved drug trafficking chanels, they are not legal, but they are not persecuted nor prosecuted as long as they pay their piso and plaza.

  12. The connection to crime, as in crime committed by users, is not easy to prove, but easy to assume. This article is well written, but it's more sensational than it is proof of anything. We've heard all this before about crack, which didn't exactly go away, so it's hard to see it as anything more than propaganda.

    1. Cjng , cds , and ct flooding tijuana and san diego. They are in competition so they sell cheaper and cheaper, that's the reason it's so cheap..

    2. Hey you silly goose! It's not propaganda, it saying that at entry points, where a lot of crystal is stashed, trafficked, and consumed that crime is up. Pretty simple. Crack caused some of the same issues in LA where it was ground zero. Basically where there is poisonous, highly addictive drugs, there will be crime and depravity at it's highest levels. Crystal, crack, heroin are very addictive, fairly cheap, and highly available and destroying towns, cities and states across the globe Not just America or Mexico.

  16. Great read! I don't know if we'll ever see a recovered meth addict. I just pray for their family members. I also pray for law enforcement who see the destruction of families because of family members devotion to the synthetic drug. I saw a DEA Administrator, Gary Hill, on the news a few weeks back talking about the local problem in San Diego. His speach was scripted and narrow and din not cover the true affect of the problem. When I did some research on him, I found he was not respected much in the San Diego law enforcement community and commonly impedes the progress of investigations locally. Hill, If your going to stand before the camera and speak, you should be the real deal and not a fake.
