Atty files for "El Mochomo" trial delay, discovers new evidence

Lucio R. for Borderland Beat with C.E. Martinez
Big thanks to Narcomics !!

Judge Richard J Leon
And it begins…. but then again, maybe not quite yet.  The Washington D.C. trial of Alfredo ‘El Mochomo’ Beltran Leyva, is scheduled to begin on February 16th.  However, last Friday, his attorney Mr. Eduardo Balarezo, filed a motion for a 90 day delay of trial.

In the motion,   it revealed the reason for the delay request:

“Mr. Beltrán Leyva became aware of evidence located outside of the United States that has a direct bearing on the credibility of several of the government’s cooperating witnesses, whom the government named just this week.

A prosecution that is principally based on cooperator testimony, such evidence is material and crucial to the defense of the charges.

Mr. Beltrán Leyva cannot proceed to trial without being able to obtain the evidence and use it in his defense. Counsel has made an ex parte proffer to the Court pertaining to the nature of the evidence. Considering that the evidence is outside the United States and efforts must be made to obtain it in time for trial, Mr. Beltrán Leyva respectfully requests a 90-day continuance of trial.”

Motion granted:

FURTHER ORDERED that the Jury Trial presently scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at 10:00 AM is vacated, and will be rescheduled to and date and time to be determined. SO ORDERED. By Judge Richard J. Leon

Motion on following page

    9. I've been reading Bl for. Long time and never commented. But so tired of seeing some of the nonsense that is written and never saying anything. Like somebody else's noted did you read what you wrote.? I always wonder do people just hate chapo or do they just hate his level of notoriety or are they supporters ,wannabes of other less successful cartels. Don't get me wrong I hate all of them for what pain they have caused to innocent people. But the way a lot of people sound on here it's sounds as if people hate the success not so much the deeds.

    11. On a personal note 5:17 I hate Chapo for bringing war to my wife's native state of Chihuahua. I hate people with the Napoleon Complex and it's obvious Chapo has it. I can't be too mad at Chapo after all his aggression got him locked up twice in one year.

  2. Its just time , and he will have a lot of it . May as well delay . Probably wont like the Rockies as well as he does where he is . But the again maybe he is innocent . Those evil drug traffickers and killers are willing to finger him as their boss in exchange for half a lifetime rather than a whole lifetime .
Really now if it was that easy to implicate innocent people .....

  3. So....what happens now?Has motion been granted? So now I see why it's better to name witnesses well before a trial.Wonder if he's going to grab witnesses from Mexico in his defence.

    2. Mochomo will be in prison for about the same time as el guero Palma. So not "decades". Besides he has evidence and apparently a top class lawyer so we can't rule him out yet

  9. The evidence isn't evidence. It's leverage against some of the witnesses. Maybe a kidnapped family member or severed heads. After all the "evidence" is in Mexico and we all know anything goes in Mexico. It will be interesting to see what it is. I believe it will be something that will turn the tide in Mochomo's favor. It would be the bomb if it was El Chapo making amends to his primo and testifying in his favor.

  10. My guess is the reason this is such a big deal iand it is everyone knows Sinaloa's and the Zeta's coke originally came from the Beltran Leyva brothers :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah that makes zero sense, try again. Sinaloan narco tribes have been importing large amounts of coke since the 40s. If you think Beltran Leyva are behind all that you are out of your mind. Chapo has always had all the big connections in Columbia.

      Delete
    2. Duh...the BL had direct connections to the colombians and to the American market. Chapo owed his freedom to Arturo for over a decade and chapo payed him back by snitching on his brother. It's no wonder why Botas blancas went crazy after that. His biggest flaw was getting high on his own suppy....no matter how smart these drug lords are they always end up the same despite being told to avoid these mistakes

      Delete
    3. Botas blancas also had top connections in Colombia. It's well known. The reason Arturo was the only person the Zetas would listen to was because he would provide them coke. No one has ever controlled Zetas like Botas blancas did. He was the real deal

      Delete
    4. Chapo never snitched and beltranes worked under chapo and mayo but botas blancas wanted to be higher he wanted to be chapo, nacho, mayo he messed up really thinking he was boss of bosses doubg to many drugs. Abd the one that snitch was barbie

    6. @1:40 bl wasn't the only ones with the connections. Chapo been doing this since the early 1980s his cartel officially started in 89 moving so much coke the Colombians named him EL RAPIDO get it straight. He did not get the cocaine connection from them if anything they got it from him. And Arturo didn't get him out of prison el pollo did his brother damaso and mz.

      Delete
    7. Arturo WAS a top boss. No one controlled as much plazas as he did. And 7:59 stop being an idiot I didn't say the beltranes gave chapo his colombian connection, he got it while working under rafa quintero and was named el rapido because he moved coke fast from Colombia to mexico not because he moved tons of it. It's also well known Arturo financed chapos escape.....el pollo was a nobody he didn't have the resources to pull something like that off, neither did el lic. El mayo was working with los Arellano during that time he didn't switch sides until he realized chapo was about to come back. You get it straight next time

      Delete
    8. @12:18 pollo had the resources he was the one holding it down for Chapo. You get it straight. Damaso worked the prison so he had first hand in getting Chapo out. Mayo was not working for arrelkanos in the 2000s when chapo escaped IDIOT

    9. Chapos 2001 escape cost 2m no way pollo had the resources. Arturo financed the escape

    11. 9:39, the truth contains many stories, what you've said is true.

    12. BLO did have direct connections to Colobian, Peruvian and Bolivian cocaine. Sinaloa and other cartels did purchase their supplies from BLO initially. However, as time had gone on, everyone of the groups had their own contact. By the way, BLO, Sinaloa and all these cartels come from the same root. Don't know why you chimps are arguing about who bought cocaine from who.

      Delete
    13. @3:48 here we are a blo nut hugger claiming everyone got there cocaine from them. Chapo had his own direct connection so did every body else. Farah they helped each other move it in the beginning, but they were not the source for the other bosses

      Delete
    14. What does it matter who had the best cocaine connections. The end result is Chapo is in prison, Arturo is dead, El Mochomo is on trial in the US and Hector is in prison. You Chapo and BLO nuthuggers can bitch fight about this on a different post and scratch each other up at a later date.

My source does not know why Broly was killed but just said he overheard a group of men talking and one said "he knew too much. It had to be done." 24. First time posting, but for personal reasons ive done my own research. This is just my opinion but if you look closely at the facts☝️ 1) cds prior to their own war (blo vs cds" they "sinaloa" were pretty much untouchable for over 10 years. Why?????? Fact 2) the u.s gov protected them! Thats a fact, ask mz son vicente lol Ok so now when lil vicentillo realizes he cant handle prison in the us and is pissed that the pact he made with the u.s. Was not honored he decides to put the whole cds in jeapordy and starts spilling the beans to one of the biggest conspiracies including fast and furious gun jobs to give cds more power. Ok let me get to my point☝️ Fact 3) the US is fucken pissed that this spoiled narco "vicente zambada" didnt take it like a man and so they decided fuck it, we obviously cant keep working and protecting cds cause this foo burned us, so what happens??. BAMMM all of a sudden after YEARS of immunity, all the leaders of the cds start falling off, zerafin zambada arrested, chino anthrax arrested, el M1 murdered, el machi prieto murdered, el azul murdered " not to sure bout his death tho☝️" el R5 murdered, el chapo arrested 2 times in the last 2 years☝️ After not being able to be found Its all bullshit guys, i might not know personal details inside of the cds but i know how to sort out the facts and the facts are that cds was and currently still is the biggest strongest cartel but make no mistake about it☝️ Its because mayo and chapo are smart negociators and they negociated with the us gov to not go after them "the friendly" drug cartel thats about making money not raping and killing like the zetas, who were burning the drug game with their violenceand so the us gov said, " look chapo, we know u been doing ur thing for years and u do it quietely and business oriented so we need you to give us info on your enemigas and we will leave you alone, DEAL?? Lol they made a deal with the devil, and guess what?? The devil is not cds, its the US GOV who is the real devil. Chapo and mayos down fall is there spoiled children. They put all their shit on social media and expect nothing and vicente zambada if he would have did what real OGs do like caro quintero and mochomo and guero palma he just had to keep his mouth shut, alot of this damage to cds could have been avoided. But the way i see it fellow bb readers, theres a war going on right now between cds and the US GOV and guess what?? No cartel or criminal organization can escape the currupt hand of the US law enforcement ☝️ Unless you have nuclear weapons lol ask north korea or russia

    1. I think that somewhat normal for DEA operations this thing with CDS and US government sanctioned immunity. It happened in the 80's with Noreiga. These cartels believe what they are told[maybe they have no choice in 'the deal'].Noreiga was promised he could operate with impunity with the CIA planes if he could set up Columbians for them to bust.It worked for awhile and hey all the Columbians wanted to go through Noreiga[never lost a load].When Noreiga started not cooperating as much as they wanted, well they nailed him but I think they would have done that anyway when his usefulness expired.I think exactly the same thing is happening now with CDS.They were allowed to operate freely for 10 years now their contract is up,they just didn't know it.
