Visited Chapo in Prison; PGR detains and interrogates Dep. Lucero Sanchez

By Lucio R. Borderland Beat

Allegedly the mother of El Chapo's newly born son

Cosalá Sinaloa Deputy (aka congresswoman) Lucero Sanchez Lopez, will be interrogated and will give testimony, with respect to the charges that she entered,  Federal Social Rehabilitation Center (prison)  No. 1, 'Altiplano',  using falsified documents to visit Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman in 2014. The attorney general’s office confirmed the deputy was brought to the office of the Special Attorney for the investigation of Organized Crime.

The PGR office confirmed the detainment and her interrogation, which marks
legal requirement to file charges.  Guards testified the visit included conversation regarding the birth of the baby and transfers of real estate ownership.

Sanchez was one of sixteen people allowed to visit the capo, during his incarceration, previous to his July, 2015 escape.

Cosala search operation
Sanchez was pregnant at the time she visited Chapo, allegedly with Chapo’s child. On at least one occasion, she was accompanied by one of Chapo’s attorneys who later confirmed he accompanied the deputy on a visit to Chapo.  Sanchez has denied she visited Chapo, and refuses to make a statement regarding their relationship.

On Wednesday, Sanchez resigned in front of the Sinaloa congress.  A few hours later ,she was apprehended by federal police and transferred to Mexico City, where she can be held for up to 96 hours without being charged, during this preliminary proceeding.

While Chapo was on the lam, Cosalá  is one of the first places that Chapo was known to have been hiding.  When located at a Cosalá Ranch, the Mexican Navy moved in for the capture and ensued in an intense shootout.  Mexican authorities reported that they had Chapo in their sight but held back from shooting because he was with a small girl.  They also report that Chapo sustained injuries as he fled on an ATV.

Attorney General Arley Gomez told reporters yesterday that Chapo spent much of his time in freedom with Sanchez including New Years Eve.

  1. It makes me sick that they wouldn't arrest the Coahuila governor but they'll arrest her. The difference being that she's PAN and he's PRI. This woman was clearly appointed by El Chapo to her position and should be held accountable however this means the PRI can say that Chapo only has connections in the PAN party and not the truth that he always had a deal with EPN.

    1. She was not arrested, but taken in for questioning. She is still a member of the Sinaloa State congress and can't be arrested until an impeachment process.

She resigned from the PAN congress group. She won her seat in a PAN-PES alliance.

It would be interesting to see the Sinaloa congress impeach the alleged mother of Guzman Loera's child.

Former Coahuila governor Moreira was also the PRI president who oversaw/setup EPN slection as PRI candidate.

Governor trumps state congresswoman any day of the week.

    2. The difference between the two is that the American government has no stakes with the issues that plague Coahuila.

    3. If the state of coahuila decides that since they have nothing to show for the "loans", they do not have to pay any motherfacking bank any motherfacking money just because their grown hairy ass managers did not care for their bank money enough to make sure about the collateral...
--then the US would hurt trying to defend their banking tricksters...

  3. I don't understand how the government works, they see people involved with organized crime and they still allow them to be in office. I also don't understand why the Mexican government didn't arrested Humberto Moreira.

    1. Because they are obviously in on it or they would arrest. If they did arrest the governor how many others would be called to testify?Too many and too expensive. My God there would be a revolution among the politicos!

  4. She didn't resign her seat in the state Congress. She resigned as a memeber of the PAN coaltion in the chamber. She won't resign her seat, I imagine, because she would then lose her fuero protecting her from arrest and jail.

  12. Here is some more good information we find on other sites, but can't be found on BB.

    1. I read the story on Fox News but did not choose to use it because the story gave a completely different story than the headline. Headline said "Columbian woman replaces el chapo as DEA most wanted".

DEA said "“Just because she is on the same page as Chapo, doesn’t mean she is on the same level as Chapo,” said DEA spokeswoman Barbara Carreno. “These lists are not organized by rank.”

DEA said not to put too much stock on the online list.
To me when the headline says one thing and the story says something else, that is not truthful journalism.

you say "taken in" I say you are splitting hairs, she was wanted for questioning, then apprehended by federal police, then transferred to DF for questioning and testimony. Mx calls this action "detainment"

it was confusing yesterday some news outlets, radio, print said she resigned yesterday other did not. It would be ill advised for the reason you state, impeachment. at least that is my op.

As for Moreira. He cut a deal with PRI so that the EPN election would not be compromised. Not the statute of limitations has long expired. any action against him would have to be new evidence, evidence not included in in the previous so called investigation of Moreira and the missing money. the conclusion of PGR investigation exonerated Moreira. Moreira made a video subsequent to his "exoneration" boasting about his proven innocence

    1. Moreira did not make a deal with the people he defrauded, all the people of coahuila need to do is refuse to own the debt, specially if nothing is there to prove that they owe it or what it was used for...then it is all bertie boy and his creditors...
