Lieutenant of the Sinaloa Cartel Captured

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Milenio article and a Proceso article

[ Subject Matter: CDS, El Chino, El Negro, Valle de Juarez
Recommendation: Some prior knowledge of Sinaloa Cartel would be useful]

Mario Alonso Galvan, "El Chino", lieutenant of Eduardo Vargas "El Negro", leader of a cell of the Sinaloa Cartel that operates in the Valle de Juarez is being disarticulated.

Reporter: Norma Ponce

Chihuahua: Agents of the Attorney General of the State of Chihuahua detained one Marion Alonso Galvan Valdez "El Chino", lieutenant of Oscar Eduardo Vargas Romo "El Negro", leader of a criminal cell of the Sinaloa Cartel that operates in the Valle de Juarez.

"El Chino" was investigated for his probable participation in no less than nine homicides in the Towns of Guadalupe and Praxedis G Guerrero, the same goes for Oscar Eduardo Vargas Romo "El Negro", in the same manner operated in transit of drugs, and collecting extortion payments in the zone.

With this detention we have totally disarticulated the criminal structure of "El Negro",  we have apprehended all of his lieutenants: Isidro Soto "El Pantera", and Mauricio Luna Aguilar "El Papacho".

"El Chino" together with "El Papacho" and "El Pantera", they are the operational armed wing of "El Negro", who is currently subject to penal processes, in respect of involvement in over 200 homicides.
(Otis: see link to El Negros arrest).

In his declaration before an Agent of the Public Ministry, "El Chino" declared that he received a call from "El Negro", in which he was instructed to kill " 4 marranos that had been fighting for the Village of San Ignacio", and that they were against his group.

Galvan Valdez was put at the disposition of the Judge of Guarantees for penal processes correspondingly, in both social representation that is continuous with the investigations to which it is linked.

  1. Sinaloa cartel is out, seems like there is a new favorite cartel. All you hear is sinaloa cartel people getting busted, years back that would seem strange but now it's every day news. Even the government got tired if their snitching. Like when you have a son and he keeps crying and "snitching" on his other brother on everything , the dad eventually gets tired and punishes his cry baby snitching son lol

It's a whole different world, you don't get your own cell or even 1 cellmate. If you had enough clout before you went in you might get a 'place' to sleep not a bunk, not a mattress, not a TV, not a hot shower, not fancy orange slippers to match your cute jump suit. It's one of the levels of HELL unless you are part of the Cartel that runs the inside and even then since the DEA doesn't know your name, you aren't going to America and your family or outside crew has to pay-up. They are stacked like rats & even the rats are trying to get out.

It depends, for the most part you are correct, but the exception is the only true supermax and only prison that has never suffered a successful escape. The Federal Social Readaptation Center No. 1 "Altiplano" . I just googled it and atop the list of articles sits a couple of BB articles including this one. http://www.borderlandbeat.com/2014/02/an-inside-look-at-life-behind-bars-for.html

    4. @ 11:04 That doesn't make any sense considering how much money CDS still has.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend like I know the reason why it is happening. I don't. I can only take a logical guess. If I had to guess I'd say CDS pissed off DEA and Mexican government somehow and that is why this is happening.

      Delete
    5. If the CDS is always warring with other cartels and warring with each other then the money you are making is being spent on guns and extra sicarios. There is not much left to pay for protection from the government. J/S

      Delete
    6. @ 10:46 You might be right. I have no idea. Like I said I'm only making logical guesses.

But I'm pretty sure those other rival cartels of CDS are always warring with other cartels and warring with each other as well.

Despite all the CDS busts, it'd be a mistake to say they are done. Mayo is still out there and so are Chapos hijos

  20. La linea is taking over the valle de juarez. They now control all of cd juarez but the big battle is the valle de juarez. A lot of cds is switching sides to la linea.

    ReplyDelete

    1. It's a smart move for them to switch sides. Even with all the sicarios Chapo sent into Juarez and the rest of Chihuas CDS couldn't eradicate CF/La Linea from the trenches. It's funny how important taking Juarez was to Chapo but not Mayo. It's obvious whose the real brains behind the CDS.

      Delete
    2. Cds didn't send any sicarios. They subcontracted. In most part they were Chihuahuenses groups alredy established or transplants from other regions all ready in juarez. Thats a fact. Before any Sinaloense puñetero starts saying how they went to juarez and caused havoc please understand this first.

      Delete
    3. This was really possible due to Chapo getting caught. This was his project and now those that were CDS had no real leadership and probably had issues with their salaries. Plus Mayo always preferred to have his own guys do the work for him.

    2. Yeah, they are different, original Los Zetas were a small highly trained anti-personal, tactical unit that exhibited high efficiency. Now it is just a franchise name, in some cases not even properly bestowed on groups of kidnappers, extortionists, and drug traffickers that cover a large areas of Mexico, and Guatemala. I would say their command structure is now highly decentralized.

Why the authorities still capture big time boss in Juarez??? no question at all still cds controlling 90% of ciudad juarez and juarez valle but they keep his low profile, unlike some small cartel if there's a small accomplishment like killing police officers, killing the halcons, ambushes etc.. they put some BANNER and claiming his weak cartel done this small task. Strange stories but true.... I'm not CDS fans but that's my own observation.

  25. a few months ago a buddy from the city of Madera en la sierra de Chihuahua mentioned to me that La Linea and el Mayo came to terms and it was established that the war was between Carrillos and Chapo's crew and not directly with el Mayo. Last week my wife's brother who lives in Praxedis and has no connection to my friend was telling me that rumor has it El Mayo is turning Chapo's ppl who are operating in Chihuahua over to the mexican government and to the Juarez Cartel with the agreement that Mayo would be moving weight through Chihuas as he's done for the better part of the last 2 decades...i'm not vouching this, it could be a rumor but you can't ignore the fact that Zambadas and Carrillos have a lot of history working together... i find it funny when i see the comments from ppl that clearly have no clue (not that i do either) as to what is going on in the underworld and are naive enough to believe that this drug war is about state pride and what state your cartel is from... this war is about money and nothing else... cartel member wouldn't care where the cartel is originated, all they care is who pays more.. you have ppl from Sinaloa working for the Juarez Cartel just like you have ppl from Chihuahua working for Sinaloa...it's all about the paper.. most cartel members don't give a crap about their country much less their damn state..to think that this war is about state pride, is about as ignorant as believing that religious wars are about worshiping God and not about territory... i currently live in Phoenix but i grew up in Cuautemoch, Chih. and since the early 80s sinaloans have been working alongside Chihuahuas narcos without problem... Sinaloa never invaded Chihuahua, sinaloa has been in chihuas since damn near the beginning... when Chapo and Juarez went to war a lot of La Linea switched sides to GN ... it is ridiculously stupid for someone to think that another cartel from a different state can "invade" and operate like el Chapo was doing without support from the majority of the locals. please grow up kids and see the big picture.

  31. I really do not know why everyone thinks Gente Nueva is done in Chihuahua. They keep operating and are currently in charge of the route. La Linea is done, there is still a small group which wants to bring it back and confront Gente Nueva, but since they are in charge now it will be extremely difficult for them to do that. Out here in California Gente Nueva is well known, and they operate here quite a lot. R5 is not done as well, just look at the structure and you will see what I mean and do not believe the news and everything that they put out, remember that they only publish the front side of stories, but the back is only known between the G'S. In San Luis RIo Colorado, Sonora and down to puerto penasco chapo trini will not confront .he is a coward along with his people. Chihuahua is controlled by el cartel de sinaloa, dont get it fucking twisted levas. Also, El chapo isidro is going down in 2 years, his reign in guasave sinaloa and choix will be done pretty soon. A little information for you bystanders,
