Zeta Operator arrested in Culiacán Sinaloa

Lucio R. Borderland Beat, Material from MVS, Reforma, Borderland Beat

Hugo César Román Chavarría,  a Zetas operator was arrested in Culiacán.

Some publications are referring to this as a "Zetas leader" being captured, and that he "controls both the state of Coahuila and Nuevo Leon".

More accurately stated, is he is an independent operator, who works in collaboration with Los Zetas and operates in Nuevo Leon.

According to the newsletter issued by the naval command, the arrest of Román Chavarria took place when elements of the Navy of Mexico conducted a ground patrol near the city of Culiacan, Sinaloa.

They inspected the vehicle he was traveling in, he was accompanied by three other people who were identified as being; Erick Mauricio Rodríguez Mena, Rita Aidé Imperial Trevino and Veronica Jasmine Reyes Rivero.

In the vehicle soldiers found  a handgun, a magazine for the firearm and seven rounds of ammunition, as well as about 1.4 kilograms of suspected drug known as meth.

As the result of investigations conducted to date by staff of the Attorney General's Office (PGR), it was determined that Hugo Cesar Román Chavarria served as independent operator and maintained a close relationship with Daniel Menera Sierra , who was secured in March by Federal Forces in the municipality of San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon.

At a press conference, authorities explained it was during the monitoring of Omar Treviño alias Z42, that led to the arrest Menera Sierra and 3 others.

Menera Sierra was considered regional head for Los Zetas and operated out Piedras Coahuila.

    1. Some of you didn't read the article. No one snitched. They knew about him because of the contact he had with Z42. Meaning Z42 had surveillance teams watching him before Z42 was caught. They also had his phone tapped. Dude that's NSA 101. How else are the Mexican authorities finding all these guys.

  9. Wonder if there actually is a unified leadership or someone who can direct Los Zetas in a meaningful way to try and stop the loss of any more territory they gained in their expansion?Almost every time a Zeta jefe is caught, they appear as though they are almost street level dealers or,they cut up and deliver the bits to be sold?It seems small but if there is a guy like this in almost every pueblo o ciudad, imagine the money being raked in?The Zeta leaders supply and hold the various plazas?Makes you wonder where and who collects the money to be sent up and to whom?Or are they finished as as an entity when under Lazca and 40?

I've always assumed it's because they just let most of them go. Anyone have any insight?

  17. This guy controlled all the Chihuahua Sierra bordering with SInaloa. He moved a lot of weed. CDS asked permission whenever they needed to go in his territory. Everyone in Culiacan and Badiraguato knows who he is.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Lol ask permission?...CDS repertoire is to forcefully take what they want, and if theres resistance, plenty of bullets and brain dead sicarios are stockpiled

      Delete
    2. Yeah but Los Antrax, NG and Los Pelones all lost to the Zetas. So you tell me who runs shit? Only El Mayos money and his alliances kept CDS afloat. CDS has the money and the power but not the fighting skills to win a war with the Zetas.

    3. This mofo didn't control his own caca. Gn along with a few Durango families control that part of Chihuahua. There are z comandantes that are originally from Sinaloa including culiacan that's how they are able to move under the radar.

      I think he's having a laugh at people's expense?CDS asked permission from a Z in Chihaus?

      Delete
    5. And what zeta comandantes are from culiacan and sinaloa if you could elaborate please ?.

      Delete
    6. @11:44 calling me out? Alright! There are plenty of z from Sinaloa el mando Sinaloa was one. An other is known as el comandante Sinaloa who many say could be from culiacan. Also blo is still active in culiacan as well. El morralito is in culiacan and cds hasn't been able to locate him. With his help z are able to come in while flowing under the radar.

      Delete
    7. Your question was answered 11:44 so what do you have to say? Apparently Culiacan is more of a open market then you think. As long as BLO has plazas in Sinaloa Zetas will be able to come and go as they please. It's strictly business and so far it's worked out well for both sides.

      Delete
    8. El mando sinaloa was captured in 2012 in veracruz guadalupe angulo Serrano never heard of el comandante sinaloa and el morralito never heard of him either I think your full of b.s this guy was an independent trying to get work from the cds.

  20. Im confused first the article states he is a zeta operator then it says hes independent then it says he was a regional head that controlled piedras.Im thinking more of a independent trying to get some work from CDS

    ReplyDelete

    1. go back and read slowly, it is talking about two different people. the independent operator and the regional chief, who together had a working relationship. concentrate on the names, that should help you

That want is even more ignorant than the comments of El Mil Mascaras

    1. Hoping to gain information from comments is not ignorant. Readers comments often provide us with useful information that sometimes forms the basis of good story after we have verified the facts. We know that some professional journalists from MSM not only read our stories, but the comments as well to gain info.
Informative comments and comments that promote civil debate and discussion are the best kind of comments. Certainly better than those comments which merely attack another commenter.

forum is a bunch of speculation and conclusions based on speculations, but mb has both immature and great, informative comments.

    5. @11:17. Of course I read Chivis comment. I try to read everything Chivis writes. But I was not thinking about Chivis comment when I wrote my comment about readers providing good information. I was thinking of the many times I have seen Chivis thank a reader for information which helped her develop a story or improve a story.
