G.U. turncoats: 'Sierra Unida' group cleans up Iguala Plaza for 'Los Rojos'

Lucio R. Borderland Beat written using some material from Nueva Aera, Solo Chilpo, AcaSur, BB

Sierra Cartel challenging the weaken cartel Guerreros Unidos

for the all important Iguala territory

Media interest in the case of the missing normalistas of Guerrero has diminished.

The worldwide audience once hungry of any detail of the shocking case may assume that the situation in Iguala, Guerrero has improved after the events of last September 26th and 27th.

After all, the malevolent mayor Jose Abarca and his wife are imprisoned. Same goes for the municipal police, who acted on orders from the mayor’s office, to kidnap and kill the normalistas group.

And the leadership of the Guerreros Unidos Cartel are either dead or incarcerated.

Federal forces have taken over policing of Iguala, one would hope security of the city would be exponentially better.

But according to the people of Iguala, that is far from the reality. In fact things are worse. Violence has exploded, and according to residents, the federal Gendarmerie is not doing much to control the situation.

For example; In separate incidents, four members of a family, and a taxi driver were killed last two days of February and first week of March recorded in the city of Iguala where the Federal Police Gendarmerie Division took over security after the slaughter and disappearance of the 43 missing normalistas Ayotzinapa.

In this multiple victim crime wave, 19 people were killed in a 5 day period,  in this strategic area for the Guerrero drug trade.

Supposedly, 14 of the 19 killed allegedly had ties to the Guerreros Unidos Cartel.  However, people on the ground say it is a mix bag of narcos and innocents.  If there is a vendetta against an innocent for whatever reason, the "chapulines" (those that jump sides aka grasshopper) are using the opportunity to settle scores.

In an apparent  move to capitalize on the weaken state of  Guerreros Unidos, derived from the fall out of the normalistas case,  the organized crime group Cártel de la Sierra (AKA Sierra Unida) is challenging the remnants of G.U. for control of the region.  As of now, G.U. barely maintains control of the Iguala Plaza, but is compromised in strength because of key arrests and federal intervention.

The killings include:

A shooting was reported  in Colonia  Educación,   authorities found four people gunned down inside a  home on Calle Raúl Isidro Burgos.

The victims are: Marco Rojas Robles, 67, and his wife Arminda Avila Sanchez, 64, and their two sons Mark, 39  and Carlos Robles Avila, 20.

Earlier in the morning,  a body of  executed man was discovered inside a taxi on Juan N. Álvarez street in  colonia Educación.

The victim, Israel Benítez Diaz, 22, was the driver. His killers left a manta message  on the dashboard with the following threat against carriers:
This will happen to those who work for ‘Los Tilos and ‘Yuca’ (G.U.) in Taxis and Combis.  We have the fucking list.  We will fight, not hide.
Attn:   S.U.
In another killing, armed men on motorcycles attacked people at the Los Peques car wash where a former municipal official identified as Luis Beltran Acosta was killed and a youth was injured. The assassins left behind a note that read:
“All Guerreros Unidos Get Out, Attn: Sierra Unida”
The group has taken to the practice of leaving messages on many of the killings, so there is no confusion of who is conducting the killings and their motive.
 "We Came for Guerreros Unidos"
"We are here to clear out the scourge"
One was left hanging next to the federal gendarmerie Iguala headquarters.

 It read in part:

“We do not kill children and innocent people for us the family is sacred, our  war is against Guerreros Unidos.  Sierra Unida disclaims the cowardly act of Guerreros Unidos, killing the doctor of the colonia educación,  killed along with three members of his family, and the executions of a mother and son in  col San José." Signed the avengers of the future S.U.

The text continues to point the finger at G.U. for all killings of innocents, saying they were victims of Guerreros Unidos group, including the normalistas and all the killings of innocents since the tragedy.

Be mindful this group declaring they do not kill innocents were members of G.U. during the time when they killed hundreds if not thousands of people including innocents.  Additionally, G.U. sicarios have  implemented the cockroach plan and have abandoned Iguala

Last October the federal government had located a cell called Los Peques or Los Tilos, who are a part of Guerreros Unidos.

The latter maintains control of drug dealing in the area of Iguala where municipal police and gunmen attacked and kidnapped 43 normalistas of Ayotzinapa during the night of Friday 26 and Saturday morning September 27th.

The agency Apro announced that 100 members of this group of assassins, left the city of Iguala and retreated  an hour south, in the community of Carrizalillo, of the municipality of Eduardo Neri,

Official reports state that brothers Víctor, ‘El Oso’; Mateo, ‘El Gordo’ and Salvador ‘El Chava’, Benítez Palacios, owners of a car wash located on Calle Juan N. Alvarez, along with municipal police, participated in the attack and taking of the normalistas.

Reports state that these brothers are at the service of Ángel, Adrián and Sidronio Casarrubias Salgado, who are brothers of Mario Casarrubias, founder of Guerreros Unidos cartel, based in Mérida, Querétaro, Iguala and State of Mexico.

Residents have made complaints charging the Federal Police and the Gendarmerie with a failure of duty, and doing little or nothing to stop violence in a city where robberies, kidnappings and murder, remain the same or worse than the government of Jose Luis Abarca, now imprisoned in maximum security prison of Almoloya.

The Sierra Unida group (aka Sierra Unida Revolucionaria (SUR), are former members of Guerreros Unidos who joined Los Rojos to fight against what remains  their former cartel membership, after the federal crack down on G.U. rendered the cartel tentative and leaderless.

Leaders arrested include; Sidronio Casarrubias “El Chino” and  Salomón Pineda Villa “El Molón” (left) brother of the former Iguala first lady María de los Ángeles Pineda Villa, wife of  José Luis Abarca, and  Además Benjamín Mondragón Pereda “El Bejamón” who authorities say took his own life after being cornered by federal police.

Benítez Palacios brothers know as  “Los Tilos” or “Los Pelones” (G.U.) have also retreated from Iguala. With the plaza being void of leadership the Sierra Unida group joined Los Rojos.

Los Rojos, who have maintained a rivalry with G.U. and since October 2014, exerting power over G.U. through executions and harassment.  Both G.U.  and Los Rojos are divisions of cartel Beltran Leyva, whose head, Arturo, was killed in December 2009 in the capital of Morelos, Cuernavaca.

    1. No, "Sierra" just means hills or mountains. There are plenty in GRO.

    2. is the acronym a coincidence or are the wannabe SURenos too?

    3. What a coincidence that La Tuta is gone. Now Los Viagra are in control of Michoacan. It's only natural they would go in to Guerrero. Los Viagra are originally from Guerrero. It makes sense that Sierra Unidos could be the Sierra Brothers.

    5. Not viagras. the Sierra-Santana Family were with CT and are the first splinter (looks like only) of CT.

they are from Huetamo Michoacan which is close to the border of Gro. then have been in Gro for 16 mos working there for Mencho along the upper sur area. taking care of killings and kidnappings for CJNG.

lthat said, Mencho is getting ready to make a push north to gain strategic drug stagging areas there.

He, Mencho, is growing his organization at a remarkable rate because of smart alliances, not only with cartels and enforcers, but with politicians, fed forces and H3 autodefensa group through Viagras.

    6. @10:56 Surenos are everywhere from LA on down to El Salvador and have huge clicks in Tijuas and DF....Not to mention they've kicked off riots in a few Mexican prisons to the point of running them now. I'm no fan of them, but they are what they are.

  3. The totally ignorant totally selfish pendejos who join cartels DO NOT GIVE A DAMN about their own families. This is a most revealing example of the crumbling of morality in Mexican society. Priests murdered. Remember the extreme national outrage at the mistaken murder of the obispo de Guadalajara? Today that murder would be ho-hum.

A beautiful tree, Mexico, is being killed because of rotteness within.

And where is the national outrage?

Slowly Mexico is fermenting because too few MEXICANOS give a damn.

The EUA is a lost-cause. The legalize all drugs crowd is too stupid to see what this psychotic mentality is causing. Not ONE WORD about...

PLEASE DO NOT BUY MEXICAN DRUGS!

It's the missing plea. THE DRUGGIES DO NOT CARE IF A HUNDRED MILLION MEXICANOS DIE to merely satisfy their demand for CHEAPER drugs. ¿ Entiende ?

Genocide because of indifference and ignorance. It is enough to make me want to puke

  8. OK, now regarding the implausible and incredible proposition that 43 ayotzinapos were persecuted and corralled by army and police by mistake, because of drug trafficking rivalries, by the imperial couple, because they interrupted their strategic campaign speech, lacks credibility for many reasons, except for one...
--Is anyone paying BB reporter to keep proposing that the 43 disappeared while asking for donations on tin cans, and horror of all horrors for kidnapping chicken coop buses to go and celebrate the murders of tlatelolco/Mexico 68 to remember the fallen and the crime of state, in spite of being millionaire drug traffickers???
--There were also about 20 others hurt, 4 more students and 3 civilians killed, right before the noses of the "heroic" mexican army that did not intervene, or it would have been worse (for the students of course), said murillo karam...
--I know this is only a traduction, however the hammering of the theory that the drug trafficking cartels and the imperial couple would be guilty of the disappearances, benefits the REALLY GUILTY PARTY, el pri and the secretary of education emilio chuayffet chemor, "la emilia", they had all the reasons to hit the ayotzinapos, and nobody else, only this time, the butchers did a cleaner job, like only the mexican army can do, a la nazi...no witness, no proof, no body, no crime, and the gullible get paid to say it is so...
    --anything to say lucio???

  9. 4:54 is correct. It is about crime, not simply drugs. Very violent crime. My friends in Ig told me months ago that the place was worse because of the power vacuum left by the massacre. They told me to never stay in any one place for more than half an hour. Only go to restaurants that have police cars parked outside as the scum usually won't be so brazen. Solution? Too many people willing to throw it all away for a few tens of pesos. Pesos, no morals. Church a big failure, all plastic show. Government a big show, how to feather my nest as quickly as possible. Mexicanization, mmm it would appear the popo does have a small clue. Pindajos.

  10. I like how the world's perceptions are mentioned. It is not that the world assume everything is ok, it is that the world realizes the 43 students missing and a corrupt government is the norm. No other country is willing to step in, because at this point it is difficult to determine who is who there. If a country intervenes, are they really saving the innocent? or a cartel, or a corrupt government. I believe people have heard this time and time again and the story never changes. Just different names and locations. Next elections will bring a whole new group of corrupt politicians, new mini cartels and missing persons. The 43 is very heartfelt, but so are the thousands that weren't documented as part of a larger group. The 43 only made the thousands of missing innocent people 43 more. Also it is only one more example of constant corruption. It is safe to say more countries will help once the government that Mexico has improves. Until then, those countries are assuring their citizens they will not become another Mexico.

    1. The rest of the world does care what happens in Mexico but when the government and citizens keep saying "it's not as bad as everyone thinks" those interested groups look the other way. For instance in Texas there was huge push by law enforcement to discourage traveling to Mexico for Spring Break due to the violence. Instead of agreeing with the warnings a lot of Mexican Americans were condemning the travel warnings. They were saying the warnings were racist and LE were discriminating against Mexico. The excuse was "only bad things happen to bad people in Mexico" which is obviously not true. Now with this kind of mind set from people who reside in Texas what do you think would be the mindset of citizens of other UN countries. What would those countries governments think? My guess would be "nothing to see here folks move on". If there are more citizens of Mexico keeping quiet than those who are crying out for help odds are the international community will assume people are overreacting or stretching the truth. What needs to happen to correct the situation in Mexico I honestly have no clue but I believe it will get worse before it gets better.

    2. Mexican government narco-mierdocracia does not want help, they want the guns to kill the opposition and they want to get paid for their heroics, with sovereign impunity on the side...

  11. I hate to say it, but isn't it better to have a few large scale cartels that you can choose, control and that can maintain control vs a hundred mini cartels that are constantly at war with each other and the public. all in the name of a unwinnable war on drugs and a just cause. I'm not saying it's right, I just think it's the lesser of two evils. and the same could be said for our foreign policies in certain areas of the world, but even I struggle with that one.

    1. Isn't it better to have none. Every time a new group comes and dominate a territory, everyone on here go through this who's tough, who's not crap. Saying who is in charge. The point is that it is only another terrorist group in town. The fascination with these cartels gives the appearance Mexico wants it. People will post on here from Mexico giving you a complete run down on infrastructure as if they are affiliated. Quite sickening. I say rid the place of this. Create jobs and live a trouble free life.

    2. IS ALL THE SAME SHT!! What do this stupids think, let a couple of cartels get huge so they can reign over the governments and the people living in those places.? It is exactly what they have been doing all those decades ago!! The difference now, is that most of them lost the control they used to have before!! when the presidents letted them do whatever they wanted to do!! Who knows howmany fosas all those mother fuckers created during all those years.

They are ALL THE SAME SHT! How do you all think all those criminal groups get formed!? Is because those big drug cartels give them the fuel, and that is exactly how they propagate everywhere like cacaroaches, Taking their criminal activities everywhere they invade. AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. Is normal that if one top dog falls, they will try to take over, even if that means having to stab each others back! But just because that happens doesn't mean the govt. has to just let them grow more and more, and more, and more, until they take over entire latin america?? and possibly the USA!? Some ppl here are idiots.

They must take them all out, until they get the point! that is useless to try to form their own criminal groups to destroy others!!

    3. To put it clearly look what happened with the sinaloa cartel how many different criminal groups did they help create.? (armed wings) They help create the CJNG right?.. Now that they have more power, they are doing exactly the same thing CDS did with them. Helping different criminal rats (gang groups) become bigger with their supposed affiliation. Ruining the things more and more for those areas. More criminal rats, more crimes.
