  1. The guy in the picture is actually Alfonso Zamuido. El Zamuido was also a financial operator but he was captured in 2013 in Coahuila. El Zamuido was the top financial operator for Los Zetas and had close ties with Lazcano and Z40

    1. Actually many of the current cartel have sought out the Zetaz to help them protect their territory. If you have been paying attention to the drug war in the last 5-7 years you would know Loz Zetaz are allied with Carrillo Fuentes/La Linea and BLO. Regardless what you think of the Zetaz they are still relevant.

    2. See that's the thing man, I haven't paid any attention to the drug war in mexico. I have literaly been reading everything I can in the last 3 months. Mainly on BB, the articles wrote on here are very insiteful, I am knowing just the basics on this whole thing. When I first started reading it was a lot about the z's and from what I've gatherd is they are truly the lowest shit bags. Excuse my ignorance. So really what do they specialize in? being the most ruthless hit squads?

    3. I excuse your ignorance, let me enlighten you on the fact that all the Charles in Mexico are the same. They just have different names they all kill innocents that don't w ant to cooperate and they displace families around Mexico kicking them out so they can get more territory. Don't be like a lot of these young bucks who listen to corridos and believe that buckshot they hear about cds,cdg or ct. That they are the good guys that take care of whole families and are the bravest of the brave and only kill enemies. My point is. ALL CARTELS ARe THE SAME SHIT JUST A DIFERENT STINK! Real

    4. Zetas are normal Cartel and make huge amounts of money. Also they happen to be much more low key nowadays. They are not just useless ruthless hit squads. You underestimate them a lot

    5. I can see what your saying about all cartels being the same and what not. I was just under the assumption they turned up the whole game, adding even more brutal and barbarik things to the whole thing. Wasn't the old school way of taking care of bussiness with a hit man you could tell why a person was killed by the way he was shot? As in the back of the head would refur to someone turning their back on a syndacite, temple was an ememy ect..and chopping off a finger for pointing it at someone??....now its beheadings, extreme tourturing and such that the zetas are credited for doing?? Terrorist tactics pretty much. Is this wrong? Or has this been the standard bussiness practice? I am not underestimating anyone. I wouldn't last an hour in that lifestyle. I just thought the zetas are more of a stickup group, compared to say the CDG being more established I guess I'm trying to say. Does this make sence to you??

    6. 12:32- please stop. Your questions could be answered with extensive reading. Read the plain facts and between the lines of the existing replies here and again, you have received answers to all of your inquiries. Fyi, other people, not all Americans/etc are morons, and thank you to the many who dispel rumors on blogs like these and in the comments/forums of blogs like these.

    7. As to their power that is debatable but they are certainly have a lot...they are not the 'lowest of the low' in that regard....But in terms of method they did change the way wars are fought. They are more about controlling territory and taxing ALL activities on this territory....they also strayed from the top down Italian mafia model that the Sinaloas follow (capo de tutti Los capos).....they also began the mass public executions as a matter of scaring the general populace and scaring people into accepting their presence....their tactics have since been adopted by most cartels but they started a lot of the modern psychotic stuff...the phrase 'the zeta-sation of the drug war' exists for a reason

    8. What the fuck are you saying?? Please stop what? I am asking questions to get the facts straight. I understand all cartels are shit bags. FYI other people are morons not just American?? what the fuck does that answer? Just because I said "please excuse my ignorance" doesn't mean I was calling myself or anyone a moron. Simply apologizing for my lack of knowledge on the topic. I can call you a moron, simply because your chiming in for absolutly no reason other than trying to cut someone down, extensive reading?? Moron, my extesive reading has led me to this conclusion, therefore I ask questions to straighten out "dispeled rumors" and get the facts...on this comment section of this credible blog. Fucking trolls man.

    9. @12:33 very well. This is informative, thank you for that explanation. This is a well written comment, I can dig your intelligance and apprceiate that.
As for @10:29 I think your completly ingorant. I wrote a response earlier and obviously they didn't want to OK it, and I can see why. Read between the lines? Please stop what? Asking questions to get my facts straight? Stop trying to have an intelligent convorsation with someone who obviously knows more about somthing than I do?? You comment is very true anyone can be a moron, your a very good example of that. Thank you for that reminder. If you were refuring to me saying excuse my ignorance, (which I never said americans or anyone for that fact is) I was just stating that I apologize for my lack of knowledge, hense.....the questions I wask asking, that these are the things that I have read through my extensive reading. So as of right now, I am holding 3 fingers up, read between those lines smartass.

    1. Durante su detención les aseguraron 20 kilos de mariguana, dos armas cortas, una granada de fragmentación, 174 mil dólares y un vehículo.

from the original article on proceso

Why would a man who is at the centre of the zetas money laundering, launders several billion dollars a year, carry 174 thousand pesos?

These top guys always carry heavy bribe money on them.

    2. I dont think the zetas make multiple billion a year even if they moved that say 2000 kilos of coke a month 500 of heroinand another 500 of crystal meth they'd still be short of even a billioncarrot in the human smuggling in the piracy there probably be close to around 1 billion

  4. Funny...they never seem to find any coke. I'm sure it's there...they just 'forget' to report it !
