Autodefensas Will No longer Exist... on May 11th New Look, Same Struggle

Autodefensas No More: New Name Same Struggle
As the much touted May 10th deadline looms near, a flurry of meetings have transpired between Autodefensas General Council Leaders, led by Dr. Manuel Mireles, federal and state representatives.

Leading up to the past week, Autodefensas position was unchanged, in demanding the agreements of January and April be adhered to.  For their part, the federal government insisted they would make good on the agreements, and the state simply published a schedule for weapon registration, dates approaching the May 10th deadline.
In lieu of official shirts I created these to depict each group
But that was then; this is what is happening now:
There will not be a May 10th deadline, registration will continue and is expected to draw 2000 or more.

From the 11th of May (supposedly the transition will be ready) there will be no “AUTODEFENSAS” vehicle decals or  "AUTODEFENSA" T-shirts.

In its place inscriptions will be “GUARDIAS RURALES" or "DEFENZAS RURALES” which will effectively represent government institutions.

The Government will provide uniforms, vehicles weapons, training and salaries. [Unknown it the logos to be used or the look]

Under the charge of SEDENA [The Mexican Secretariat of National Defense] They will be the "RURAL DEFENZAS"

Under the charge of one of the state agencies they will become “GUARDIAS RURALES"
BB asked; will the new groups have latitude or need permission by state or feds to advance?
Answer: All movement will be agreed with notification to the federal Government.

BB asked; and the imprisoned autodefensas? Will they be released?
Answer: They must be set free

BB: WHat role will you play in this change?
Answer:  I will remain as leader

BB: How many will join?
Answer: Rural Defenzas (federal) will comprise of 6 groups of 200, in total.  Currently apx 200 have registered.

As for the state guards, apx 1700 have registered.  [I was not told the max number of guards allowed.

I know what BB readers are thinking "Is this a good thing?", my answer is;  it is  necessary.  What will happen? I am hoping against hope that the brave autodefensas, federal government, and state government will continue their excellent work against Caballeros Templarios, moving on to cartels in general they may attempt to control Michoacán ,  secure law and order, and fair practices of justice.   I must add a disclaimer; I am waiting to exhale. I feel both relieved and leery.

Some media outlets are mistakenly referring to this as a “disarmament”, it is an "armament" now free of questions regarding legality.

The advance and search continues, with better defined and cooperation of state and federal agencies.
Bottom line Dr. Mireles says there is a new look, “PERO LA LUCHA CONTINUARA”

[“But the fight continues”]

  1. Defensas; i'm not for nazi grammar police, but i think on the professional printed clothes of official government "elementz", they should, MUST have correct spanish spelling, unless it is all a joke played on the AD and michoacan people, like it most surely is anyway...

    1. Well, if you know spanish then you should know that 'defenzas' is spelled correctly.

      Delete
    2. Then maybe you should go down there and tell them.

  2. Z was used with the original groups and still used by some, including Dr M. Of course they know how to spell, it was a logo. The shirts are not official there is no photos of the new shirts I thought an image depicting the two groups would be a good addition to this post.

And their requirements (if any)?I'm a U.S born Mexican and am going back to the "Mother-Land" (Michoacan) to help my people out...any information would be appreciated .
      Thank you:)

  4. Here's a link from Milenio thursday that contains all of this and a little more, along with a little different terms used for the two police corps created.

They had over 1,700 signed up for the state "Patrulla (sic?) Rural Estatal" by thursday, so I'd say 4-5,000, by the end of next week, is not out of the question. (I'm shocked, I must admit)

The "Defensas Rurales," under the Army will be trained in bunches of 200 at a time, since they have limited space at the Army barracks in Apatzingán.

  5. you're an idiot, the articles do not have the same information. "all of this and a little more" the most important information is the freedom to advance, and who they are working under which agencies. I heard on the radio Mireles say on Thursday 700 had signed up. don't reply on Milenio, often they embellish, I bet BB got their information from the top.

  6. 1:56 best way to get rid of the cartels would be to have everybody with an ID and have the federales, army and police return to pickpocketing paradise, el DF, just have some inspectors to collect taxes and leave the communities to govern themselves, they don't need permanent satraps from the capital, and they do need the death penalty for corrupt politicians.

  7. At least, if everything goes as promised and runs smoothly, all those poor people will have a steady income, and anyone that has those auto defensa t shirts, that is an official article of historic relevance and you can probably fetch some pretty good bids on ebay, lol. Anyway lets hope the other promise gets burried. The assassination of mirelles, lets hope that never materializes and nothing bad comes to fruition

  8. I ask people at the "protest" in LA in front of the Mexican Embassy(?) a month or so ago if the AD had T-shirts for sale so they could get some financial support and even better some "mobile media*" support..(*so to speak). The 2 girls, and one guy(who I thought was one of the people in charge) just kinda of looked at each other, shrugged and said they didn't know anything about it. Glad someone finally got it togther..So how do I donate for a few(Large), and how do I know its not going to the pseudo AD? or God forbid we don't end up supporting the Nut sucknards Cartel..

  9. I don't want any personal attacks please.
as for milenio, I am not sure the numbers are correct, but I did not concentrate on that, I wanted to know important things like:

what occurs in advancements and searches
what happens about the AD imprisoned
what agencies will the AD groups work with

But I can ask Dr M about the numbers, I think a good question is how many does he think will sign up and if they have a choice etc.

@5:51 I am sure I can get a few shirts and perhaps caps

Rural Defensas will be 1200 in total six squads of 200.
    200 have signed up

he doesn't say there is a limit on the State registration but those are at almost 1700

  19. 6:05 well, slang has a way to constantly change the academics' idea of language and legitimizing any and all new forms and uses of any word, in any languge, i'm for it, except for officially yielding to the most elementary shortcomings of the people, just to appear to kowtow, the ROYAL ACADEMY of ESPANOL has never been a favorite of mine, and by the way i wish i could start a campaign to eliminate the letter Z from the spanish languaje, i wish we could eliminate anything zeta named and related, all over the world...
    l don't know why...
another letter that has gone bad is the letter B, from buey, a beast of burden, it progressed to güey, and is used to demean other persons, slang use has moved it to wey in the modern español that great mexican writer what's his name calls "cabroñol", making great mexican writers guilty of contributing to the further destruction of the spanish languaje, with nacoization and mexicanization of CASTELLANO.
see SEDENA= Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional.
i have in the past criticized grammar police ginirals, and i don't want to become one, i'm all for progress and evolution, but the Autodefensas can not afford to be any less official than the mexican federal government...

In the story about the 7 dismembered corpses in Gro., You post the story and then a link to read more. when i clicked the link to read more, there wasn't more to read, just a graphic and disturbing photo. the warning about the photo wasn't even visible. That wasn't cool and i don't want to see that. just knowing it happens is good enough for me. I'm sure others feel the same way.

  23. @5:51 ask the SEDENA if they would tolerate miss spelling on the official uses of their name, corruption of the language goes well with the graffitti, even the US would not accept any of that, i don't see why the autodefensas have to accept any less even the CETAZ would not go for it, try that on your capris and see how it feels...
I'd like to ask our military experts, with all due respect what music is used on the military ceremonies of dressing down of military elements, and subsequent marching out of the ceremonial field, during and after.
while checking on this i found one ceremony, where the banda de guerra of the police department turn their backs on the officer being expelled, while some real ugly music is being played by the banda de guerra.
--it would be nice to play when the military bosses that sold out their bases to the templarios leave the Michoacan plaza.
--youtube: policia es destituido por tener relaciones ...en horas de trabajo/red noticiero.
--also augusto pinochet's favorite, EL NOVIO DE LA MUERTE, the most favorite song of the ss totenkopf, the chilean and argentinian military junta narcofascistas, la santa muerte of some mexican narcs and la Brigada de la Legion del Rey Alfonso XIII, and Klaus Barbie, the butcher of lyons...
--youtube/ La Legion desfilando y cantando EL NOVIO DE LA MUERTE, francisco escarmentado, malaga 2012
    --CC y TT,Cristo Resucitado
    --the best austro-german military marches
    --american military marches...
-the best would be if an all new to the area military could be deployed and they turned their backs on their leaving comrades for incompetence, at least, and for cowardice and outright betrayal of the service.
-if that would be too much to ask, next best is to do the dress down ceremony and show the contempt to the leaving officers that could not fight the caballeras kagadas during their reign of terror, the people and military that would take over turn their backs on those being drummed out.
--A tall order, easily applied to a lowly police officer during the reign of genaro garcia luna at the helm of the SSP, a beautiful ceremony that would make the mexican military watch their step, i wonder how many ginirals would cry over it, any other info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

As well as the community, communication and transparency must remain intact with the public. And the hiring process must be checked by good moral integrity, rather the need for boots on the ground. I hope the Guardianes Rurales start publishing their victories or results of operations to the citizens via the local press and once in a while national press. But keep up the good work. Dr. Mireles and I will pray for the safety of you and all the people of Michoacan.

  28. @ at 1:59 pm. I don't think this is the fastest way to completely eliminate drug mafacturing, producing and transportation of drugd into the United States of America. As long as there is demand for such drugs, there will be demanf and profit from both sides of the border. I hear Canadian weed will represent a major threat to Mexican cartels as welll as the legalization of pot currently happening in the USA. There will alemways be cartels in Mexico but the days of major/large transcontinental cartel days are beginnig to come to an end. I don't know how long will it take but it's beginning to show signs of it. examples are the infighting between Gulf Cartel factions and rapid dismantlement of the prganizational structure of the Knights Templar.

  32. Chivis,

some of the other news media have articles on Mireles that are disheartening...They quote him as saying that some of the ADs are becoming paramilitaries, that some are lead by corrupt individuals who started as lemon pickers but now own lots of land, and that they are starting to disagree to the point of going separate ways. I used to get on you for never posting my doubts about Mireles or his past, but over the course of time, I've changed my opinion of him and he does seem sincere in his desire to make Michoacan a better place. His comments make me think that if he was assassinated, it wouldn't be the CT, but a former lemon picker, now AD, who'd hate to give up his new found wealth.
