Accountant, El Rocky, Snitched on Z-40

Borderland Beat

Francisco Dair Montalvo Recio, El Rocky, detained in December of 2012 in Nuevo
Laredo, was an key figure in the collapse of Z-40.

Ministry sources quoted in an article in Reforma saying Recio Montalvo was
arrested with the 5 million peso payroll for organization members, government
officials and weapons in Nuevo Laredo.

Along with El Rocky they also captured Ana Maria Cruz Enriquez, Karen,
Cesar Ramirez Vazquez, Calaña , and Joaquin Ramos Hernandez, Cabañas, two
handguns, a charger for a gun, 47 plastic bags containing cocaine, as well as
telephones and computer equipment.

"This greatly helped the Marine intelligence actions against Treviño Morales, mainly
regarding the precision of Los Zetas' movements, Z-40 in particular," said the
Ministry source cited by Reforma.

As a result, the Marines obtained important information on schedules, routes Z-40
readily used, addresses he frequented, the location of other members, the number
of guards they used as well as the registration numbers of their vehicles.

The information El Rocky divulged also included particulars in Coahuila, where
many Z-40 operatives used to live.

Following the leads provided, the Marines also managed to find the address where
Los Zetas kept captured migrants.

Last March, using a Black Hawk helicopter, Marines came upon a safe house
where they found 104 migrants (91 men and 13 women) from Honduras
and El Salvador, who had been ordered kidnapped apparently by people
under the command of Trevino Morales.

  1. It's interesting to see the intel that was provided from the DEA vs that which was provided from within Mex. I'm really curious about this whole "the DEA knew where he was and just let the marines know now" thing.

    1. I am also so curious about this. i think someone just made that up. Seriously what type of SOLID EVIDENCE has came up pointing to that?

    2. Its stupid to think that DEA knew and not officials in MEX, funny how after an important capture there's always something saying that the US already knew where he was and bla bla bla hahahahaha

  2. I'm sure "El Rocky", and probably a few others we will never know of, gave up info to help find 40. However, his exact location that night wouldn't have been known without the help of the CIA/DEA.

Who knew EXACTLY where Z-40 was for the last THREE YEARS!!!

All of Mexico should thank Edward Snowden.

Before you laugh or ridicule, look at the timeline. Enrique Peña Nieto blasts the US over the NSA spying of Latin American countries, especially Mexico. One week later Z-40 is "arrested". That was the husband buying flowers for pissing off the wife.

  8. how come nobody posted professor Edgardo Buscaglia's take on this whole z40 case?

even tierra del narco posted it, the few people who have been doing investigative journalism about the mexican cartel/drug war and are honest about it are often left out of the equation and shitheads like the people from televisa and PR campaign talking heads who say whatever pena nieto's administration tells them to say get all the attention, i'm telling you people are absolutely right about these arrests, him walking as if he owned the place and the soldiers around him, i'm not talking conspiracy theories here, i'm saying Mexico is such a shithole that it could be anything except the official story.

  14. Give credit where credit is due. Ever facet of Z40s capture has the U.S.A. govt. and its law enforcement/intelligence agencies written all over it. From the Blackhawk used in the operation ; to the training the SeMar marines have ; to the intelligence provided by the CIA/DIA/ DEA. If anybody can recall from from Jose Trevino trail, DEA had information, a few years back, that Z40 would show up at horse track in N. Laredo and passed that info. to the MX. authorities. We know what happened next. However, the creation of the Zetas also has the
    U.S.'s hand in it.

  16. The fucking traitor filthy maggot Miguel Trevino was captured with 100% help from Tio Sam. Thank Obama for his capture. Whenever a big dirty one goes down its almost always because of the Americans who are not afraid of them unlike the Mexicans police who have pebbles in thier kness from knealing in front o0f them!!

    1. I agree that Americans aren't afraid of them .... But neither are the marines in Mexico.... But the police (some) could lose their life or family and have nothing to gain. Some are rotten and some have no choice. I've read about a lot of arrests from the police. Walk a mile.. .. ......

no one likes someone who kidnaps hundreds of innocence and executes and extorts businesses

one mexican marine told me whenever they capture cartels members they tell them "mess with the best (marines) then you'll die like the rest (cartel members)"

other son of sheriff trevino not the panama son
the antics of the family are telling me that "hey dad gets away with it so, so can we".
MCALLEN - McAllen police arrested another son of the Hidalgo County Sheriff.

Carlos Trevino was charged with a felony for assaulting a public servant.

Channel 5 obtained the arrest affidavit. It details how John Carlos Trevino resisted arrest for public intoxication, then he used his body to push a jailer to the floor.

The 36-year-old was arrested around 3:45 a.m. He is charged with public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor, resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor and assaulting a public servant, which is a third-degree felony.

McAllen police spokesperson Lt. Joel Morales says officers were called to the 6600 block of North 40th Street for a complaint of a suspicious person. Officers arrived and found Trevino standing in front of a home.

The arrest affidavit describes Trevino as having slurred speech, blood-shot eyes and the smell of alcohol on his breath.

Police could not get a hold of anyone inside the home. The report says officers deemed it unsafe to leave him alone. They arrested Trevino for public intoxication.

The paperwork says he resisted the arrest, saying "Do you know who I am? I'm not going with you."
While Trevino was being booked at the police jail, he used his shoulder to hit a jailer's knee, knocking him to the floor.

The report details how another officer had to pull Trevino off the jailer.

Morales tells Channel 5 John Carlos Trevino's bond total was set at $14,150. This arrest comes less than three months after the sheriff's other son, Jonathan Trevino, pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy charges in federal court.

Channel 5 called Sheriff Trevino, who declined to comment, saying he cannot speak for his adult son's actions.

  33. Everybody can sum it up for them self's, how many heavy target's do the MEX. forces/US forces have right know to monitor?
At all times Intel has to be treated with care because of infiltration through enemies out of all sort's of interest group's.
    Time makes mistakes more likely,
The best cop is officer coincidence paired with criminal stupidity and once you can isolate one most will fear the lies and promises, yes most people will snitch not only in Mex. Everywhere!(maybe not russians they seem to know how peaceful silence can be)....
