Z40’s Brother's Trial is Scheduled Tomorrow in Austin Texas

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

Tomorrow, barring another postponement,  the Jose Trevino Morales trial will commence in Austin Texas.  Jose, the brother of Zetas leader Miguel Trevino Morales (Z-40) was arrested on June 12, 2012 and charged with money laundering conspiracy.  Trial was set at that time for October 22,  2012 but was postponed when 7 of the defendants filed for and was granted a postponement.
The money laundering operation centered on horse racing.   Jose is charged with using drug trafficking funds, provided by his brother Miguel, to operate a race horse setup of racing, siring and selling race horses. An estimated 400 stallions and mares were housed at a sprawling Oklahoma ranch.

It was reported that the Trevino brothers were not only racing enthusiasts  but that Jose was a talented scout of horses that proved not only to be winners

but breaking records in the industry with multi million dollar windfalls and resulted in commanding high stud fees.  One horse, “Corona Cartel”, sired 3 champions in one year.

The majority of the horses were kept at Zule Farms, in Lexington Oklahoma.

The chief of the IRS’ criminal investigation unit Richard Weber said, “This case is a prime example of the ability of Mexican drug cartels to establish footholds in legitimate U.S. industries, and highlights the serious threat money laundering causes to our financial system.”
Using drug money, and generally conceal the real names behind the funding. Horses and equipment were bought in cash with fictitious names. In the indictment  the system used is detailed, financed entirely   on drug money.

Prosecutors report  for at least four years the farm and racing setup accumulated transactions amounting to countless millions of dollars in Texas, California, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
Tremor Enterprises LLC fronted the horse operation, starting small and working in plain sight. In time the horses became well known. In particular, Mr. Piloto won a million dollar prize at Ruidoso Downs on Labor Day 2010, going off at odds of 22-1.

    5. Well, those assets were bought with drug money, so they will be confiscated put up for sale at any state or federal auction and will be sold to someone that can pay for them with legal money and that is able to pay taxes on the property every year.

I believe there are 7 brothers and 6 sisters born between 1955 and 1980. Adolfo is the youngest child. I could be a little off but it is pretty accurate.

  10. Just like classic mafiosos, expanding into the gambling business. Making money on top of money. They could have used the horses to transport their drugs all the way to big D. Just joking! ha ha ha! The Italian Cosa Nostra created Las Vegas with people like Bugsy Seigal. They made Havana into gambling mecca up until Castro got in power. Once powerful people like Howard Hughes wanted Las Vegas for themselves, the Italias had to go. The FBI made sure of that.

  12. U.S. bankers love drug money and the gov't. watches until they can secure a large penalty against the banks. The banks pay a portion of their drug money profits and avoid jail. The only dealers that are busted are those with desirable and seizable assets. Money, not justice is what the Feds want.

  16. This a serious question concerning the US Mainstream Media (MSM):

Do you Borderland Beat (BLB) Forum members think our MSM is somehow "complicit" in NOT covering newsworthy items in the Mexico Wars?

I ask your opinions because there are so many dramatic events that go on in Mexico that seem very newsworthy to me.

These news events sometimes only get "thin" coverage or no coverage at all as I see it.

To my mind, it seems that the MSM purposely works to keep Americans ignorant about what happens in Mexico with respect to violence and the related factors involved in this violence.

I'd appreciate your thoughts on this?

He was just racing horses its only the fact that his brother is 40 and he had a lot of nice stuff and nice horses that some white folk wanted. they are bein really quite about about HSBC and Wachovia. Now thats money laundering because they were keepin their money with out question to where it was coming from and giving them unmarked bills. 40 gave his relative some money and his brothers legitimate buissnes went by itself, I just dont get why they call this money laundering. oh well they just hate seeing rich Mexicans and Blacks.

Heey chivis I do not have one but why don't you post something about what is going on in michoacan thre are autodefensas poping out in different towns and at least two of them are suppose to be back by cjng against cts . The word is that federal government is going to keep implementing this formula to tackle down the caballeros templarios and in apatzingan michoacan homebase of los cts they are trying not to let pop out a autodefensa by oppenning a fake autodefensa against the autodefensas or policias comunitarias in that town. But again it seems like cjng is trying to take on los caballeros templarios.

  24. "Well, those assets were bought with drug money, so they will be confiscated put up for sale at any state or federal auction and will be sold to someone that can pay for them with legal money and that is able to pay taxes on the property every year." You do know that everyone pays taxes one way or the other, just by typing these I'm paying taxes and so you have an idea of what constitutes a tax, besides the obvious any fine, any interest any fees and inflation, are taxes by another name, in short a money you pay while getting any service or good from is a tax for the benefit of the government. Now if you're wondering why mainstream media doesn't cover these simple, the mainstream media has become A-political and continuous coverage of the millions if not billion of forfeiture asset would lend itself to question the corruption of the so called war on drugs and the dependency the enforcement establishment has become, while still maintaining that their budgets are insufficient. Just take a look at you home bills, you'll see a local, state, and federal fees, even before you get on your car and drive, you have already paid them again, the dollar you just got is worth less because of the same reasons, inflation "interest owed on that borrowed money". So next time oh it's dirty money, shit all of it is dirty money, it's made to get some worst lazy ass super super rich and his is not a drug dealer.

  31. @6:06AM

    Good Morning...
I have been watching the events unfolding and did write a couple of posts on the situation. HOWEVER I stopped at the point it was evident that many of these so called citizens "autodenfense" groups were nothing but a beard for cartels. Especially CJNG.

It sucks because some are genuine and unconnected, but narcos are opportunists and they saw a way they could use the concept against the people and to benefit them. When I saw bodies beginning to pop up without an public citizen trial I knew we had a problem, because true citizen groups conduct themselves with transparency. Some thing was very wrong. So I took a breather to observe, rather than post about it. You are right I need to write about it.

We have only 7 spots on Mainboard for all reporters and few of the readers go to the next page so we have to carefully select are posts meaning often we have to make choices between two great posts.

Please send me any information you may have on this, specifically the CJNG angle, of any group that is doing this, that would be very helpful...Paz, Chivis

Heyy chivis the two towns in michoacan that raised against cts and are according to cts back by cjng are felipe carrillo puerto ( la ruana ) and tepalcatepec ( tepeque ) , in apatzingan cts are also forming one fake autodefensa group to according to them " defend" apatzingan from the policias comunitarias that form in tepeque and la ruana who they accuse them of being back by cjng. I also heard from a friend of mine who's relatives in mexico are suppose to be cts that they say that this time the federal government are determent to fight and exterminate them and to do so they are working with cjng. And arming normal citizens in communities to help them fight cts. Also. Vallejo michoacans new governnor is looking to legallize and train policias comunitarias in michoacan if this is true there will be a new extrategy to fight drug cartel that will be involving normal citizens in it

I have been very fortunate readers have sent me many fotos and a few vids. I have not had one write anything with the fotos when they send them to explain just maybe "FYI". When M1 was killed I rec many from the only person I have ever been able to link with anything and he linked to M1. Other than that I have no clue.

In this case I have had the foto above for apx 18 mos. In the subject said "Z40". I did see the proceso used the foto with a recent post but their copy was either purposely enhanced by artistic effects or bad copy. Dunno. I like the foto a lot, there is an innocence about it...the "before".

Remember the video of the slaughter of 49? That was sent to me directly. as well as 2 execution vids. but mostly still photos is what is sent. I have no clue where the sender has procured them......paz, chivis

Never say Mexicans aint racist, cause you be lying through your teeth.
By the way there are many many great Mexicans who couldn't care less the color of someones skin, they are the salt of the earth, unlike many here who only want to play the race game, again, again.

  39. I did a a bit of bitchin before at some clown about race and shit, but,i do think, why did they target this guy?Is it simply because of who his brother is?The people Trevino Morales dealt with, bought horses from, land, cars, machinery, property, probably were white collar whites like me.They are the people who get away with all kinds of shit for generations of family members, they didn't ask or wonder where Trevino Morales got his money from, they didn't care. Why aren't some of them in court alongside Trevino Morales,he is charged with money laundering, are they complicit in that?Part of me hopes he gets off, because of the hypocrisy in all of this.
