EI Lazca, 'I Took Care of the Nephew"

Borderland Beat
Heriberto Lazcano, El Lazca ordered the death of Jose Eduardo Moreira Rodriguez
Mexico City • The leader of Los Zetas , Heriberto Lazcano, El Lazca , ordered the death of Jose Eduardo Moreira Rodriguez, son of Humberto Moreira, former governor of Coahuila, and not Miguel Angel Trevino Morales, el Z-40 as many previously assumed.

Officials close to the case revealed that (this info.) follows from the phone messages that the absolute leader of Los Zetas sent to his friend Salvador Alfonso Martinez Escobedo, La Ardilla, on October 3, when the crime was committed.

The transcripts of these discussions are held by the federal government, stated consulted officials.

In the material, it established that Heriberto Lazcano, El Lasca, reported the same day that Alexander Treviño Chavez, nephew of the Z-40, had been killed by state police, along with four members of the criminal organization.
El Lazca and La Ardilla
The news surprised La Ardilla, who assumed that the death occurred in their place, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, where Miguel Angel Trevino was second head of the cartel.
According to the transcripts, Lazcano said that the death had occurred in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, and made it clear "I have already taken care of the matter" ie, the murder of a relative of Governor Ruben Moreira.

It is also clear that Lazcano gave the order to avenge the death of Alejandro Treviño Chavez. The nephew of Treviño Morales who was living in Laredo, Texas, and his body was claimed by his widow of American nationality.

Revenge was executed three hours later and the victim, José Eduardo Moreira, was the Governor of Coahuila's nephew .

To commit the crime, officials narrated, El Lazca instructed that Miguel Angel Rodríguez Díaz, Alfa Metro, zeta boss in northern Coahuila to coordinate the operation.
After receiving the order, Miguel Angel asked for support from the military collusion with the group, particularly the operating deputy director of Acuña police , Rodolfo Castillo Montes.
El Lazca instructed that Miguel Angel Rodríguez Díaz, Alfa Metro, should coordinate the operation
Being aware of the request from Lazcano, the command contracted for the son of former national leader of the PRI, who cited in that municipality should trick him and  give him an "invitation".
When José Eduardo came to the appointment, he was conquered by the police supervisor of Acuna, Victor Landeros Sifuentes, La Iguana , and Officer Jorge Tenorio Takajasi, El Taka .

After they handed him over to Carlos Arnulfo Flores Flores, El Flaco , head of Los Zetas in Acuña presented yesterday as the alleged perpetrator of the crime, who was accompanied by Ruben Sifuentes Cadena, El Shaggy .

The boy's body was found at 10 pm, three hours after being taken.

According to the messages, El Lazca complained that the group did not execute Rodolfo Castillo Montes, the only thing that could link them to the killing.

According to the consulted officials, the expert showed that Moreira's son was killed aboard the truck, while police said they found the body was in a dirt road.

It was found that it was not so and that they cleaned the vehicle by order from leaders of Los Zetas , officials said.

Another Version
The Army presented yesterday Carlos Arnulfo Flores Flores, El Flaco or El Fantasm , alleged head of Los Zetas plaza in Acuña and perpetrator of the murder of Jose Eduardo Moreira. The subject was arrested after a confrontation in Monclova, Coahuila.

However, officials assured that the crime was ordered by cartel leader Miguel Angel Trevino, The Z-40, in retaliation for the death of his nephew.

Officials said that after the murder of Moreira, the members criminal cell left the city and took refuge in different parts of Coahuila.

The Department of Defense  (Sedena) confirmed that former Acuña deputy police supervisor RodolfoCastillo Montes, Victor Landeros Sifuentes, police supervisor were complicit for luring Jose Eduardo.

Then they handed him over to El Flaco, to El Shaggy and another man nicknamed El Pelon who took him away and killed him.

According to the Department of Defense (Sedena), El Z-40 ordered the execution of  the son of former Coahuila governor after the death of his nephew and the four Zetas who clashed with state security forces.

"By supporting the activities of  the authorities of Public Security  carried out by the Army and Air Force in Coahuila, it was learned that most of the members of Los Zetas cell in Acuña left the plaza and took refuge in various places, including the city of Monclova, where  Flores Flores was located. "

El Flaco was slightly injured and was made available to the SEIDO. In addition to El Flaco, César Zapata Riojas, El Nejo; José Gumaro Esquivel Flores, Gumaro, y Carlos Emanuel Espinoza Sifuentes, El Gordo, were arrested.

Chronological Timeline
Jose Eduardo Moreira was killed on 3 October. A command Acuña deceitfully lured him and handed him to Los  Zetas belonged to Carlos Arnulfo Flores.

Salvador Martinez Escobedo or Carlos Garcia, La Ardilla, alleged regional head of Los Zetas in Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon and Coahuila, was arrested by Marines on October 6.

One day later, on Sunday October 7, the Marines shot down the absolute leader of the cartel, Heriberto Lazcano, El Lazca, in Progreso, Coahuila.

  10. The night before Lalo Moreira was killed several Narco Mantas were displayed in two cities...PN and Acuna. In the mantas the words were essentially the same "eye for eye...nephew for nephew, they were all signed by 40. lalo was dead hours later.

This is a red herring. and makes little difference as it was 40s nephew killed not lazcas. If there are transcripts since the suspect is dead there would be no reason to keep his conversation confidential.

Reason? The government is hoping this amounts to case closed as they have everyone in jail or dead that ccommitted the crime... Paz, Chivis

PS..there is a reader angry because reporters are printing Lazca not dead theories. Some of you readers need to read a little slower, I don't believe on maiboard anyone posted such posts, perhaps on forum.

  12. This goes to show how reckless and fallible the mediocre zetas are. As corrupt and fragmented are the Mexican municipal, state and federal forces no cartel or criminal group is able to surpass their power, strength, intelligence and resources. It's very probable to think that Lazca would still be alive today if Moreira's nephew was not murdered. Drug running is still a business and with it you need to run your business with sound policies and practices (of course besides making a profit). The murder of Moreira goes to show how dim-witted the zetas truly are, especially Lazca and Trevino. In Mexico you don't cross certain families or establishments. This is why Chapo (albeit a criminal) exemplifies how to run a successful organization, even he knows there are boundaries. This is my humble commentary that's is all.

  17. This is all bullshit from the corrupt politicians trying to take some heat off Z-40 and blame Lalo's death on the dead guy (Lazca). Why would Lazca orde the hit knowing how much heat it would bring on him if it was in revenge for the killing of someone who wasn't even his nephew to begin with. Z-40 order the killing to avenge his nephew and now can't take the heat that corrupt Moreira is bringing on him.

  18. Someone fill me in on this how powerful are these moreiras their corrupt that is it .One brother was booted out for corruption the other brother is not speaking to the former governor/brother or did not even attend the Funeral of his nephew. Lazcano was not killed due to retaliation from the moreiras he was set up by Trevino and trevino ordered the hit as he stated if you remember a nephew for a nephew the moreiras typical corrupt politicians that is all. If they're that powerful this wouldn't have happened goes to show you in mexico or any where anyone at any time is expendable im sorry for the nephew he was trying to make a difference but you blame the uncles for living a life of corruption.

  19. @ 11:05PM

Timely question. I am in the middle of writing a post all about the questions you have asked. I have it titled The Glass House. should be finished this weekend.

The killing of Lalo had nothing to do with Bert Moreira or his son Lalo, it was because Lalo's uncle called in GATES to PN and it was in the conflict that Z40s nephew was killed. There was warning by the mantas and word passed around that one of the moreira's would be killed. and Ruben did not protect Lalo, he has taken his state police guards and armor suv away a month prior asking the municipal police to "watch" him. and it was those police that were in collusion of his execution. However the rift goes back to when Bert resigned as National PRI party president and left to the US. that is when the split began and it was sealed when Lalo was killed.

Z40 ordered the killing. don't believe what the story is saying. they want Bert to shut up about the killing so they came up with the case closed and solved, saying Lazca ordered it, and with Lazca being dead and the other suspects in jail. done.Over. Now Bert can shut up. 40 is being protected in a sense, perhaps inadvertantly perhaps intentional. Zs run the state, the municipal police, media and political offices in coahuila.

People in Coahuila are disgusted that Bert is using his sons death to promote himself. Lalo never lived with Bert. and Bert did not recognize him as his son until Lalo was 17 or 18 when he ran for governor....stay tuned for my post it will walk you through the corruption.

  20. Z40 VS El Chapo.... MMA fight, that will be epic. The drug war is an American created problem. The laws, the ATF guns and extraditions to U.S. jails feed a money hungry machine that resembles the industrial military complex. Change the strategy, drug test everybody & kick foreigners ouy like the CIA, Shell & Coca cola.

  25. According to the Mexico City based newspaper , El Universal , the stories of narcomantas being hung up prior to the murder of Humberto Moreira 's son Eduardo are not true . What is apparent is that the ex-governor has been able to gain a lot of sympathy that has the added effect of taking the spotlight off his past transgressions , namely cooperation and collusion with organized crime while he was Coahuila's leader . Moreira's tenure as the national PRI boss , a post he was ousted from , may have been more of his losing out in a power struggle with elements within his own party , namely the Carlos Salinas faction that backed incoming president Enrique Pena Nieto . The PRI , as it did when it held absolute power for 70 plus years , has a history of purging members that it deems troublesome or useless , through arrest and murder . Salinas has always been seen as the intellectual architect of the assassination of PRI presidential candidate Luis Colossio in 1994 . Back then the Arellano Felix cartel was blamed in part because the assassination took place in Tijuana . The PRI may have used the Zetas as the convenient fall guys in this murder .

  26. Someone just comment above how chaps is hummable and he doesn't cross the line like 40 and el verdugo did with moreiras nephew, I read about the airplane which dropped in down town DF a couple of years back were The presidents right hand man his real "buddy" got kill, and a theory is CDS use heavy artillery to send a message to Los pinos, because of the apprehension of their lieutenant Rey Zambada, apparently the aircraft was on fire when it hit ground, and not by the bigger airplane turbulence like it has been fed to the public, also the helicopter a year later where another top politic was the target, u don't have to believe me but those are facts and witness , I believe PESADOS like that don't waste time with small time politics

  27. el universal was proven wrong, clearly not the first time, when the oreira family conducted a news conference lead by Carlos Moreira the President of the Coahuila teachers union and brother of Bert and Pelon. It was confirmed at the conference there were mantas that I previously described. We heard of the mantas but until then there was not a conifrmation. This escalated the conflict between the brothers and motivated the young widow to take to twitter and blame pelon for Lalo's death...

I wonder if Lazcanos death has anything to do with Lalos?I believe what Chivis here is saying,in terms of,write it off to Lazca,40 ordering the death."Nephew for nephew"Or is it just coincidental that all this happened relatively unplanned?Little ass Squirrel,40s nephew,Lalo,Lazca? It makes you wonder whether the powers that be,sent a message themselves to the Z?

"Is that a real picture of El Lazca with guns or is it photoshopped"?
Yeah man, that picture was supposedly taken on one of his many jaunts to Africa(he liked to safari)The tats were done when he was a young buck, but he had to have them surgically removed by acid?Apparently very painful. He also went by the name of"Manos de Miedo"(scary hand)because of the deformity which you can see if you check the pictures. He ended up with claw like hands and his fingernails grew grotesquely long and scared little children hence"El Verdugo""El Freddy"Children would scream this at him as he approached,he was eventually shunned by children which made him increasingly bitter and he shunned daylight hours and had to be coaxed out of his cell, where he was chained as he soon turned into a slavering beast.
Some say he was actually seeking death through all this inner turmoil?
    Hope this helps ?
