Street justice on display- Zeta style
“Esto le va a pasar a toda la gente que ande robando carros a gente inocente y que anden armadas: Atte. Z”
This will happen to everyone stealing cars from innocent people and who are armed: Sincerely, Zetas
The message above was left alongside the lifeless mutilated body of a young male that greeted motorists early Tuesday morning on Nuevo Laredo's main central throughfare.
The body, which was left on the traffic circle where the Benito Juarez monument is located, showed signs of severe torture, had one hand amputated and apparantly died from a fatal headwound.
Amputated hands on executed bodies is a common mark of a car thief used by both organized crime and vigilantes in Mexico and is often accompanied by a written message on a placard.
This is the latest propaganda display of a Zeta execution victim on this border city's civic monuments in recent months, and now independant common criminals have been added to the list of bloggers and rival gangesters in the cartels' crosshairs.
