"El Lucky" captured in Veracruz

President Felipe Calderon's office announced the capture of Raúl Lucio Hernández Lechuga, "El Lucky", today in the municipality of Cordova, Veracruz.

According to media reports El Lucky oversaw the Zeta plazas in the states of Veracruz, Puebla and Oaxaca.

El Lucky, also known as Z-16, is a "Zeta Viejo", one of the original former military founders of Los Zetas that began as the paramilitary arm of the Gulf Cartel in the late 1990's.

Hernandez Lechuga had outstanding rewards of 30 million pesos and 5 million dollars in the U.S.

According to the Milenio news agency Hernandez Lechuga was apprehended at a ranch in Cordova by Mexican Marines who had acquired intelligence on his whereabouts. A gathering at the ranch was celebrating the Zeta leader's birthday at the time of his arrest.

According to Marine spokespersons the operation was ongoing in an attempt to capture more Zetas whose locations had also been revealed.

  5. The way to stop the Zetas is to kill off or capture all of the founders. Lazca runs their expansion strategy. He was highly trained for this type of thing. Those who are not original members seem to be drooling idiot Beavis and Buttheads.

If Lazca and Treviño AKA "Z-40" are taken out of the game the gang will fall apart and start fighting among themselves. Sort of like a Zeta version of what is happening in Acapulco. The sad part is that it would be happening over 1/3 of the country instead of in a single metropolitan area. It would be a royal mess but their expansion would stop and I'm sure Chapo would take full advantage and go all out against them. The military would probably do the same thing.

I believe the whole 'success' of the Zetas is due to Lazca's very competent, well planned strategies. I call it competent because they have taken over a third of Mexico in less than 2 years. His strategy is obviously working. They need to track down and kill this asshole and soon.

  9. Probably got stabbed in the back by another Zeta. You just cannot even trust your own side in this sick war.

"There is no honor among thieves" as the saying goes. Another cartel member will rat on you and fuck their own people over just to keep their own worthless asses safe or to give themselves an opportunity for "promotion".

    Some fucked up shit.

  11. @ Slappy

i don't think Lacaza's plan was competent at all. sure he took allot of land but he seriously miscalculated the amount of heat the zeta are catching and the fact that after all this Mexico will never let them stay. each person they catch closer to Lacaza and 40 is allot more info gained through torture to get to the next man

  13. Arrest as many as they want, there are plenty more to replace them. Until they take thier money, they will keep coming back. Of course then the Gov't of Mexico will lose money.

  18. Our US intelligence is finging these cartel dorks leaders left and right. If they can just get the Mexican Marines to pick them up. I think everyone knows by the production of information and higher up cartel members being arrested all started once our intelligent agency got there this is what we do. Now think if we put boots on the ground all these cartels would be done in months.

  20. As long as the mythical leader heriberto lascano is not captured or killed, than really nothings changed.
Also the reason why Z40 hasnt been captured or killed is because his brother Z42 is probably helping him out Z42 is also at the very top next to Lascano.Z40 is always fucking up but you never hear NOTHING on Omar trevino Morales,Z42.

Z40 is less productive than his brother Z42,by now it should be pretty obvious.Z40 is a fame hoar(almost as much as Chapo),but his brother Z42 is the real deal,he doesnt go around bragging. In my opinion,I wouldnt pay too much attention on Z40,but instead on his brother Z42.
