Zetas lose large scale indoor marijuana grow

A large scale state of the art, climate controlled marijuana grow operation located in the center of Saltillo, Coahuila was raided by Federal authorities this past Sunday, July 10.

The bust was the result of an ongoing investigation by Mexico's organized crime task force, SIEDO, which is coombing the state for similar installations. The location raided in Saltillo was reportedly the property of Los Zetas.

Two men inside the building at the time of the raid, Arturo Diaz Mejia and Ruben "el Billy" Martinez, were arrested and transferred to SIEDO headquarters in Mexico City.

Unconfirmed reports state that the grenade attack on a PRI party facility in Saltillo that occurred late Monday night was linked to the Federal raid. Sources say that the attack was a warning from Los Zetas to PRI Governor-elect Ruben Moreira, reminding him to "play ball" and spoil any further actions against the criminal organization.

  1. "State of the art" ? LOL !!!!!!!!

What a sorry ass grow-op. I've seen 16 year olds I went to high school with who's plants looked better than those. Who the fuck grows plants without shades to deflect the light down to the plants, where it needs to be. Bare lightbulbs spread light all over the room, ceiling, walls, everywhere but where it's really needed. What a bunch of amateurs...

For those of you that don't grow, and never have, go to hightimes.com and look at the REAL professional grows that people do in their basements, backyards and garages, and then try not to laugh your ass off and how truly terrible this "state of the art" (if the art is seeing how shitty you can possibly be) grow op is. If I was Z-40 I'd kill the guy that set this up, what a failure.

  4. Yeah, that doesn't look quite professional, but these guys are still learning, they will get it right, or better. One thing is, these pictures may not depict the actual grow room as it was before the raid.

I've had my share of growing, both indoor and outdoor for the better part of 20 years.

While I understand what you are saying, are you trying to tell me that the cops ran around taking the shades off the bulbs ? For what purpose ? To remove most shades you need a screw driver to take out a few screws, or need to remove the bulb. Some of them require unplugging the actual ballast and letting it cool before you can even remove the shade as it's all very hot.

Also, in the pics you'll notice that the plants are UNDER the bulbs, the second picture has a lot of empty space in it, but guess where the space isn't empty ? Under the bulbs, where all the plants are. So I have a pretty good feeling that this is EXACTLY what the rooms looked like when the cops showed up to bust them.

Have a look at the plants too, they look like they have one foot in a grave and another on a banana peel. But don't take my word for it, go have a look at High Times website, and look up the monthly section where people from around the world send in pictures of their home grows. Some dude growing plants in a pile of horse manure in his backyard has better looking plants than these...

Sorry to burst your bubble man, but this is ultra-amateur. All they need to do is buy a few copies of High Times, or a few books by Ed Rosenthal and start reading.

    Saddest grow-op ever seen...

  11. ...c'mon man...

...these guys are failures at everything they do. The only thing they're good at is being a pain in the ass of the real narcos and the Mexican people. These fuckups are hated because just want to elbow their way into a plaza for themselves and be able to bring in some coke.

HT writes to artisans that love to enjoy their work; so its apples and oranges. Elementary school kids growing bean sprouts for their science projects could do just about as well.

  12. goes to show that all they care about is getting this shit on the streets. its not quality theyre after, its quantity. as long a they grow something and are able to sell it, they dont care.

I don't know where you are from, but in california that grow op would be considered sub par. They only have reflectors on some of their lights. The plants look wilted. At least they are using hydro ill give em that, but most "professional" growers have a cleaner operation that that. Not that hard to come across.

  20. SHITTY WEED FOR SURE!!!

  21. HEY THAT ACAPULCO GOLD LOOKS PRETTY BOMB.

  22. @minor600 - I did better with the first grow op I ever did, back in high school. If you seriously can't do any better than that, you obviously are a failure at growing. Easily the worst grow-op I've ever seen.

Tell ya what...take these pictures into your local head shop, and ask the guys behind the counter what they think about it. Just don't tell them it's yours, unless you want them to laugh you out of the store for how bad it is.

  23. The US GOV should just grow millions of tons of mj in a remote corner AWAY from anyone... distributional from Diebold dispensers coast to coast with a coke, smack, and other selection buttons... takes cash or credit/ let the cartels sit on their shitty weed... Mexican weed sucks..

  24. You Jackasses, forget about the fuc... plants, and take a look of what happens to REAL people because of this "hobbie" of yours, be a real men, stop using or dealing.

    www.blogdelnarco.com

Some of these are drugdealers, some are innocent people caught in their way, all of this because of people that thinks is just an innocent thing to do... ask to Mexican guys to send you pictures of the families killed... it is gruesome, you wont be the same any more.

  25. yeah i got a little gro tent in my room and i dont consider it to be anything near "state of the art", no matter how much more professional it looks than this. and climate controlled? lol i call that fucking a/c. i hate how whenever i have background knowledge on a subject im reading an article about i can clearly see the writer's exaggeration. fuck mexi weed, any self-respecting american stoner would turn up their nose at that crap.

  26. If you look for the best lights for growing weed, you might look for a long time as there is no real consensus among the growers about that. Plant Sily
