Mutilated bodies found this morning in General Teran, Nuevo Leon
Another gruesome discovery was reported in the early morning hours of Sunday in the municipality of General Teran in eastern Nuevo Leon, bordering the state of Tamaulipas.
The dismembered bodies of three men thought to be members of the Gulf cartel were placed on the roadway by the "welcome" memorial at the main entrance to General Teran.
The three heads of the men on the roadway were found on a bench in front of the memorial several yards from the bodies. All three had been flayed.
Drivers on the roadway that connects the town to Montemorelos reported the human remains that were covered with sacks at 6:40am this morning. The scene was witnessed by dozens of residents before authorities arrived.
It reportedly took 30 minutes for state police and a military unit to arrive and cordon off the area.
Two "narco" banners signed by Los Zetas were left at the scene identifying the dead men as Gulf cartel operatives. One of the messages read: “GOLFOS DE MIERDAS.... A TERMINAR PUTOS.... SALUDOS M3 Y R1 MANDEN MAS PENDEJOS A N.L. TIERRA DE ZETAS.
"Piece of shit Golfos....to finish off punks....greetings M3 and R1, send more idiots to Nuevo Leon, land of Los Zetas"
Several similar incidents have occurred this year in General Teran. In January, two municipal policemen were abducted and dismembered and the municipal police station was attacked by a group of gunmen that heavily damaged the building. Casualties among the authorities were not reported.
Within a week the entire police force along with the municipal director of public security had resigned.
