Mexican Navy Captures Boss of 'El Piolin', the Alleged Assassin of ICE Agent

Sergio Mora Cortez, 'El Toto', alleged boss of the Zetas plaza in San Luis Potosi, was apprehended by Mexican Navy infantrymen in Saltillo, Coahuila this morning.

The suspect is believed to be the boss of Julian Zapata, 'El Piolin', the alleged assassin of ICE agent Jorge Zapata, who was gunned down on a San Luis Potosi highway on February 15, 2011.

The Navy Secretary has confirmed the capture of the Zeta boss of San Luis Potosi and at this moment the prisoner is being transported to Mexico City, Mexico where he will undergo investigation by SIEDO, the deputy attorney general's office specializing in organized crime.

... Mexico has no death penalty and they have a very lax legal system, Mexicans under 21 only get 3 years for murder and then they are released to kill again... This person arrested will be treated like a rock star with all the cameras and the songs that will be made about him then he will spend some time in a plush prison somewhere they have access to anything they want, in a year or so he will be back on the street doing the same exact things... It doesnt stop until they are no longer breathing, Mexico needs to activate an immediate death penalty for killing police or military and they need to have at the very least natural life in prison for murder/torture/dismemberments... They need to revamp their entire prison system and remove all of the luxuries that they have access to... They need to invest some of the confiscated drug money and build new prisons designed for punishment such as hard labor etc. They are not smart enough to make the proper changes because the entire government is corrupt so it will all continue being a very sick joke for all the world to see and many thousands of innocent civilians will continue to be killed... They are killing and cutting up bodies now like its a game. - Grande Goat Horn

  3. no death penalty in Mexico and i figure these criminals will be out of prison in less than a month just like 98% of all criminals arrested so far.

  5. "no death penalty in Mexico"
Why do people bitch about Mexico not having a death penalty? Studies have shown that the Death penalty does not deter crime, not in Mexico or in the U.S.? Now if ppl are cheering for the death penalty because they want an eye for an eye, that's a different story but as far as deterring or preventing crime no way jose.

  7. Yeah, it's sickens me to know that Mexico doesn't have a death penalty policy. Fuck the belief that it deters criminals, because I don't think criminals, especially mexican criminals give a shit but if you have the death penalty you at least give the family of the victims hope for justice.

  8. Why do you think violent crime in the Unites States isnt as bad or brutal like in Mexico ? Because we have the DEATH penalty. If Mexico had it then the criminals would think twice before executing a dozen people all at once.

  10. Ah but people, Messico does have a death penalty..just not through the courts. Just take a look at the Nuevo Laredo post. That is Mx justice.

On BDN they have a bit more on this tory and pics. Not must details out but this guy, who I have no clue who he is, but he chose Saltillo to hide out, because it is a nice quiet town.

I would like to see more info on the Torreon killings. 15 in 24 hrs. 9 others wounded.

...If you want to call me out dont be a pussy about it, can you be more specific? All that you have shown is that you are a foul mouthed rude, ignorant idiot... Lets take them one at a time, shall we?

    1. "Mexicans under 21 only get 3 years for murder and then they are released to kill again... "

...Juveniles in Mexico such as the recent "El-Ponchis" look at only 3 years incarceration and thats for admitting to taking place in 4 torture/beheadings!

    RE: http://tinyurl.com/4v8ll9m

"The 14-year-old 'child hit man' accused of taking part in four beheadings for a Mexican drug cartel will be tried under a state juvenile law that carries a maximum of three years in prison if convicted, a judge said yesterday.

The juvenile court judge in the state of Morelos made the ruling after a daylong hearing on whether the federal government should handle the case because of the gravity of the allegations against the boy, known as 'El Ponchis'."

    2. "they need to have at the very least natural life in prison for murder/torture/dismemberments..."

That statement stands true by itself to any sane logical thinking person that has watched the unspeakable horrific atrocities play out over these last few years in Mexico... You like any ignorant rude foul mouthed idiot took that sentence out of context because your two brain cells were all ready occupied.

I stated that Mexico should have a mandatory immediate (With no appeals...) death sentence for anyone convicted of killing any police or military and at the very least "natural life" in prison (Until the person is dead...) for all other civilian killings/torture etc...

Now, you foul mouthed ignorant 2 brain cell having idiot if you have a problem with what I have said then act like you actually know something instead of just repeating me please enlighten me with your vast wisdom... - Grande Goat Horn

Juveniles in Mexico such as the recent
1)"El-Ponchis" look at only 3 years incarceration and thats for admitting to taking place in 4 torture/beheadings!

-Juveniles in Mexico include kids ranging from 18 years old and below. Anyone from 18 years old and above recieve the same setence as an adult would so your BS statement "Mexicans under 21 only get 3 years for murder and then they are released to kill again... " is out the window. This also depends on the State legislation, key word you mentioned above "state of Morelos" and yes Mexico has 32 states each with its own penal code. Wow you learned something didn't you?

2)2. "they need to have at the very least natural life in prison for murder/torture/dismemberments..."

Like I said you don't know what the f**k your talking about. Here read this story by BB to break it down barney style for your retarded ass:

But like you said I will leave here with your words:

"Now, you foul mouthed ignorant 2 brain cell having idiot if you have a problem with what I have said then act like you actually know something instead of just repeating me please enlighten me with your vast wisdom..."

Well someone has to educated the dumb retarded white man about Mexico..so I take the pleasure in informing him the truth and not what he thinks!!

    @Buela
Yes, Mexico does not have a death penalty but they do have government sanctioned death squads out there...being recorded by Amnesty International.

  14. Not only is Mexico lacking a Death penalty but they have no skills to even convict these animals. Do you think Mexico has a DNA LAB to trace all these murders, rapes, etc. back to the aggressors? Or any kind of fucking ways of doing some kind of investigation? I seriously doubt that...You never hear anything about fingerprints, ballistics, or any concrete evidence. Not only is the Judicial System corrupt but stuck in the 1800's...

So you typed about 10 or so paragraphs of rude, ignorant foul mouthed B.S. because I miss quoted the juvenile age in Mexico by 3 years? Are you kidding me?

Well, its obvious that you have serious mental issues and you lack adult communication skills so I will end this here. 17. Funny how the puritans that in this thread scream because there is no death penalty in Mexico or because the judicial system is lax or lenient, say nothing about the judicial system in the U.S. Well heeled robber barons stole more than a trillion dollars from the American people and they walk free and still call the shots. From Fanny Mae and Freddie Mack, to Lehman Brothers to Citicorp and Goldman Sachs, they stuff billions and cocaine up their asses with abandon while screwing middle class America who lose jobs, homes and families without saying a word either out of ineptitude or cowardice. Yes, the Mexican killers brutalize and decapitate their enemies, but the machine that manufactures consent in the US decapitates everybody since everybody seems to have lost the ability to think and question the authority of the crooks that rule their country. Read Prof. Levine thoughts in this regard http://bit.ly/ibaUlF.

More arrest were made in several military ops in SLP and Nuevo Laredo..An alleged OSO ROJO detained.

  19. How can the Mexican Government even think that they can house, feed, and support these criminals?? Aren't they broke?? They don't have decent wages for their government employees, and the people working or not, are supplementing their income thru the drug-trade. All of it is insane. The corruption there is so common, that's it's almost normal..Gods law. Death Penalty. Why argue when things are plain and simple.

This entire cartel crap is something the U.S. is going to have to deal with sooner or later since Mexico's answer seems to be "catch and release"! I would rather see it happen sooner because the more time that goes by the more entrenched some of them are getting, mark my words they know its coming and some like Chapo are preparing for a U.S. military type invasion.

Something I was thinking about today as I was looking at some pictures of some recent shoot outs some of those masked men sure did look like Americans! They even had different style camo and vests... The U.S. could send in highly trained squads and as long as they kept the face shields/masks on no one would even know it was Americans... They may be doing that already... Another thing if the U.S. built a HUGE electric fence along the border with a current so strong that if you touch it instant death results that would stop all that crap at the border...

Like I said the U.S. is going to have to deal with this problem head on sooner or later... The longer they wait I think there will be more casualties... God speed to the good guys... - Grande Goat Horn

...This is one of the biggest problems is there is an entire Mexican generation or two or three that have been raised around that narco life style and it is what they know... Its a huge, huge, huge problem from a humanitarian stand point... How do you mentally/psychologically reprogram generations of Mexican people?

Kids under 18 that can take a life and mutilate a human body while whistling and laughing is the mentality that eventually the U.S. is going to have to deal with, I dont think people are looking very far down this road... I do not see any non violent solutions to this huge problem looking at it from the U.S. side... The psychological programming is way to deep in at least two generations of Mexicans... They believe that the narco life and violence that comes with it is perfectly normal... They actually aspire to be that...

I lay blame right at the feet of the Mexican elders for teaching those generations the narco lifestyle so what ever blood is spilled its on their hands! They should have recognized these problems long ago and through schools and education done something to stop this train wreck, but they were so blinded by evil and greed themselves that they have done nothing but pour gasoline on an already burning fire and it will be left up to the U.S. to put that fire out, hell its already burning across the border, I can see the smoke from here! - Grande Goat Horn

  24. @usa having to deal with this mentality
