Violent "Levanton"

Ciudad Juarez - This afternoon a person that appeared to be a baker was the victim of a "levanton" abduction by several individuals who had been chasing the victim for several blocks. As the victim was attempting to get away in his truck it overturned in the middle of Capulín Street in the community of El Granjero in Ciudad Juarez.

The gunmen immediately remove the victim from his vehicle at gunpoint and took him away to an unknown destination. Inside the victim's vehicle were located three firearms.

Dozens of elements of the Municipal Police arrived at the scene, which at first gave the impression that perhaps the victim was a police officer but officers at the scene rejected that version.

The violent crash resulted in two parked vehicles sustaining considerable damage and a person who was washing a vehicle resulted with minor injuries.
