More than 365,000 U.S. dollars, along with some Mexican pesos, were seized from three individuals who arrived at the Oaxaca International Airport on a flight from Dallas, Texas.
Maylet, Reyna, and Tomás were detained after a canine unit alerted authorities during an inspection of their luggage, in which officials discovered 365,865 U.S. dollars and 5,900 Mexican pesos that had not been declared to customs.
The Attorney General’s Office (Fiscalía General de la República) charged them with a crime related to the transport of undeclared currency, classified as an operation involving resources of illicit origin.
A judge has ordered that the three individuals face formal criminal proceedings:
Maylet will remain in pretrial detention at the Tanivet women’s prison, while Reyna and Tomás may remain at liberty during the proceedings, provided they report periodically to the authorities and do not leave the state of Oaxaca.
The investigation will span six months to determine the origin of the funds.

ReplyDelete🤔... its not hard to make a $1000 dollar profit a day selling tacos, tlayulas, pupusas or even churros if the environment is righsaying. Do that consistently for a few years and you could definitely save $350. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteYou still on here posting stupid fucking comments, get lost bitch.
DeleteIts also not hard to put $1000/day taco income legitimately earned into a legitimate bank account, pay taxes on it, and legitimately transfer what's left to any bank in any country you want.
DeleteIt would sure beat crossing a border with more than $10K in undeclared cash (illegal on both sides of the border), getting popped and sitting in a Mexican prison for 6 months.
Why they were taking over a third of a million dollars in cash to Mexico? What did they plan on buying?
