The Navy Kills Jesús González Peñuelas, "El Chuy," in Sinaloa

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The federal government announced that this week, Secretary of Security Omar García Harfuch, Secretary of National Defense Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, and Secretary of the Navy Raimundo Morales will conduct supervisory visits to Sinaloa.

The agenda includes reviewing security deployments and assessing, firsthand, the needs of the state police, as well as those in Culiacán and Mazatlán—where the operation of the C4 (emergency command and control center) will also be evaluated.

They will visit the site selected for the construction of a new prison. It was later reported that the Secretary of National Defense inspected the conditions of the troops from the Third Military Region, based in Mazatlán. And why all this? Well, as you can see, the violence shows no signs of stopping.

In Sinaloa, local media have reported the murders of seven men and one woman over the last 24 hours. Five of these incidents occurred in Mazatlán, and three in Culiacán. This brings the total number of femicides in the state so far this month to 20. Furthermore, two of the victims were beheaded. One of the severed heads was left outside the Mazatlán City Hall—a municipality that has currently become the most violent area in Sinaloa.

Incidentally, also in Sinaloa, the death of a criminal leader from the "Chapo Isidro" faction was reported tonight; the United States had offered a $5 million reward for his capture. The individual is Jesús González Peñuelas, known as "Chuy González," who was killed during a confrontation with Navy personnel yesterday in Guasave—though his identity was only confirmed today. On May 20, the United States Department of the Treasury issued sanctions against Chuy González, whom it identified as being responsible for drug trafficking since 2007. He faces at least two indictments in California and Colorado.

  1. Good post Sol, you were fast to get this story up. Now keep that same energy when Chapiza leaders get busted. Don’t go hiding like a bitch for three days straight, like you always do.

  2. No confrontation. Just Navy out to eliminate the guy and did.
This is how it plays out in Mexico when lowlife fucks don't want to give up their dangerous criminal lifestyles.
The Navy should go after all the fucks including MF and the Chapitos as well.
Any fuck that wants to disturb society.

    2. @10:59 I'm mad because I'm tired of hearing these fucks kill each other for stupid money and pride.
I'm tired of watching beheading videos of poor (literally) fucks on sites like this.
Many of the most famous cartel figures grew up in the business when there was no war going on like Mayo Zambada and Chapo hence they were never in serious danger when moving through the ranks to run the cartel. Their kids like Mayo Flaco and Chapiza just earned their tanks by birth right.
They were also never in danger.
Many few lesser capos also grew the same way.
The only fucks dying are the ones that did not have these privileges and joined the cartels from scratch and during times of war.

  5. Chuy González, been around longer than Chapo Isidro. He’s supposedly been killed multiple times in the past. I remember when they were at war with Chapo Guzman. They were certainly a torn in his side.

  12. Dos Banderas, Chuy Gonzalez, and Chapo Isidro gave Chapo Guzman nightmares for a while! Chuy was supposedly killed at least two other times covered here by BB. Once during a plane crash. Dude was a major Chiva trafficker before moving into blues. Dude moved major weight and controlled some N Sinaloa plazas for decades.

  13. STFU, Dos Banderas was a Chapo Nut hugger. He was afraid of his tío and his cousins to the point where they gave him an ultimatum, either give up El Puma [Guacho] for the accidental killing of El Animals son or get kicked out of Culiacán and obviously we know how that ended.
