“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat
At 1:45 PM, we bring you an ADN alert. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of California reported the arrest of this woman. This is Nancy Beatriz Ortega Olasagasti, who worked as an inspector for the Tecate municipal government in Baja California.
She was arrested on August 26 while attempting to enter the United States transporting nearly 70 kg of methamphetamine hidden in a vehicle. Customs and Border Protection agents discovered the drugs and arrested her, leading to the initiation of drug trafficking charges against her.
So, that’s the situation in our country—and yet they claim they aren't colluding with organized crime, right? By the way, Tecate is governed by Morena—by the Morena political party.
