El Mayo Seems To Think He’s Special

“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat

Regarding the Sinaloa Cartel case in the United States, Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada is seeking to avoid serving his sentence in a maximum-security prison.

Today, he asked Judge Brian Cogan to be housed in a medical correctional facility rather than the Supermax prison in Colorado.

"El Mayo's" defense team stated that their client is facing several health issues requiring supervision. It’s worth noting that "El Mayo" is scheduled to be sentenced on July 20, and he is expected to receive a life sentence.

  1. They don’t need to send the old man to ADX Florence in Colorado. The only reason he is in custody is because he was kidnapped at gunpoint and tossed a private plane that landed in El Paso-

More information is coming out that US authorities were well aware of Chapo’s son Joaquin’s scheme to bait and trap El Mayo- with both of them taken into US custody upon landing in El Paso.

The American authorities who played a role in and approved of the plan to kidnap El Mayo; were reckless and irresponsible as they had to have known that a civil war within the cartel would occur- it was matter of when, not if.

Their tacit approval of El Mayo’s abduction has led directly to more people in Culiacan and other cities in Sinaloa getting murdered in less than two years, than American soldiers/ members of the military who were killed during the US’ military’s 8 years in Iraq (2003 to 2011) and the 20 years spent in Afghanistan (2001-2021) — COMBINED!

US authorities simply didn’t care about the collateral damage of poor Mexicans and others getting trapped in a conflict that was completely preventable- they (US authorities) have known for close to 50 years that no matter how important and big and powerful a drug lord/Kingpin got- when they were killed or captured, the flow of narcotics continued on without interruption and prices on the street wouldn’t really fluctuate-

So they got El Mayo. Cool story- and as usual, nothing has changed except thousands of innocent Mexicans getting murdered on a daily basis, because US authorities thought catching El Mayo was more important than than the almost ten thousand lives lost (murdered or disappeared)-

  5. He’s trying to avoid Supermax prison in Colorado at all costs because Chapo is there waiting for him. Chapo is still pissed that Mayo gave him up in his last arrest. He wants his old beef settled. Chapo probably already has some sureno hitmen paid off and ready to go. Nuff Said!!!

  6. There’s a lot of redactions in there. I wonder what the health concerns are.

Cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s are all progressive.

  8. Typical mentality from Sinaloans. The arrogance and entitlement from them is nauseating.
Leave GDL and go back! No one wants you here!

  9. Great arguement Mayo. How many dozens or hundreds of people did you have slaughter that were not in good health? You will wither away in prison until death just like your business partner Chapstick.

  12. There is a very slim chance he might get to go to a different care facility until he dies if the prison he is in cannot give him a "reasonable" end of life hospice care, but he isn't getting house arrest in his final days and be able to die at home to with friends or loved ones present if that what this drug dealer is thinking.

  13. If the old boy has legitimate pathology, then being housed in Club Fed is an option..

If he's sent to colorful Colorado, then nobody can say that he is a rat..
