A narco message with a severed pig threatening the mayor of Tijuana, Ismael Burgueño, was found in the Zona Río neighborhood on the morning of Friday, April 10.
The message stated:
Mr. Burgueño, you'd better open up and calm down. You have 72 business hours, otherwise we will retaliate against every one of your officers. La Mera Verga
"La Mera Verga" is a generic title used by numerous criminal groups in Mexico, making pinpointing the author of this message difficult. Many criminal groups dispute the Tijuana plaza, including the CJNG, factions of the Sinaloa Cartel, and the Arellano Félix Organization. The region is a crucial control point for drug trafficking access to the United States.
In 2023, after receiving numerous threats from organized crime, the prior mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero, moved to the 28th Infantry Battalion Military Barrack with her family.
Severed pig heads are often deployed next to narco messages by organized crime groups as a way of accusing a public official of corruption.

I hope that the police that discovered this head did not throw it away. They can boil it and make some great delicious tacos de cabeza. Nuff Said!!!
ReplyDeleteGrammar on narcomanta better than the grammar on most BB readers' comments.
ReplyDeleteCan a carnicero or farmboy look at the photo and tell us which pig body parts in particular are displayed?
I don't see any head, nor a squiggly tail...
🐖🤨😹
Wow, pigs head next to a cardboard sign.
ReplyDeleteI bet the mayors just trembling right now.
