Two Members of Los Chapos Faction Killed in Ensenada

“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat

In two separate incidents in Ensenada, Jesús Romo, alias El Norris, and El Chakyn, both operators of a faction of Los Chapos dedicated to transporting goods between Baja California and Baja California Sur, were murdered.

El Norris was attacked at around 10:20 a.m. last Thursday, when gunshots were reported at the intersection of Lázaro Cárdenas and Primera streets, in the Ex Ejido Chapultepec neighbourhood, in front of an Oxxo store.

Two days later, Efraín Valadez, alias El Chakin, was shot dead on Emilio Abreu Street, in the San Borja neighbourhood, specifically in the parking lot of a Seven Eleven store.

The victim was taken to a police vehicle with the intention of transferring him to a hospital for medical attention; however, he was pronounced dead during the journey. The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) is in charge of the investigation.

    3. Yeah that's him. Looks like he was some sort of merchant. Transporting produce up and down Baja. Probably tried to extort him and he refused.

    1. Interesting. Now show the plastic surgeon that was arrested for massive insurance fraud in the US then owned and operated hospital archangel in Tijuana hotels in Guadalupe valley and was killed last year . Unsolved but they have everything on surveillance camera. Operated many girls of the night in tijuas, bosses and charged it all to bienestar, and luandered drug proceeds and payments through a clinic and paid people work surgeries he also got paid for with fraud. Border dolls, sheila aparicio, Michelle ozuna, ana leone castañeda and they killed Dr. Joaquín Merlos Barajas

    2. You're stupid if you think that's going to happen. Its never going to happen. The criminals would blend right in with the population as they already do and stand down when shit gets too hot. The whole notion of trump invading Mexico is all talk. Remember there's an agreement that was signed between the Canada, Mexico and the U.S during AMLO and Trumps first term. As long as Mexico meets those directives, the U.S isn't doing shit because as much as you'd like to say otherwise, Mexico has been combating crime and extraditing cartel leaders, while the U.S has been letting them black niggers off with a slap on the wrist, and witness protection.

  7. I thought I'd read a local article that the El Norris guy was involved in extorting Marisco stands in Ensenada and a number of people were killed the last few months. It has been a problem in the area. The good people of Ensenada will not miss him.

You ask more questions than a cop!
The only takeaway you need to get from this story is that OXXO and 7/11 stores should be avoided at all cost!

    3. This part of the highway is flanked by flea markets for kilometers and kilometers, just a huge bazaar. There are a bunch of different transport gangs. There's resale of stolen goods, it's sort of an area where this, if you ever see old American gangster films about the 20s and 30s, like prohibition depression era stuff, and gangs hijacking trucks robbing stores, all of that stuff can get sold at retail too. Big grey market area. Some crews run distribution companies.
