Armed Conflict Between La Linea and Los Salgueiros Throws Guachochi Into the Dark

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Loud gunfire from drug traffickers has forced residents to hide under their beds.

Mobile phone service has been interrupted and classes suspended.

Residents reported loud gunfire to emergency services in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The armed confrontation took place in the municipality of Guachochi, with no details available on the victims.

According to WhatsApp messages, the shooting began around 4:20 a.m. and lasted at least 40 minutes, although other reports say it lasted about two hours.

The confrontation occurred between rival organised crime groups (Salgueiro and La Línea).

Mobile phone service was knocked out when the fighting began, leaving only internet connections in homes as a means of communication.

Parents whose children attend Technical Secondary School 9 in the Los Pinos neighborhood sent messages through their private groups.

  4. The guy running "La Linea" crews is David Payan alias el 18. He was once a Chapo Calin enforcer, but after his death, switched sides.

    1. Supposedly against los chapitos now. So tides have shifted in this world War narco version conflict. You got La linea-Cjng-chapitos vs Mayos/Cabreras-gente nueva del tigre-los salguieros-los salazar. And that's only in chihuahua.

    3. Nah linea is not aligned with chapitos at all. They work for their own entity. They only work with Cjng in the trafficking aspect. Linea is just taking advantage of the Sinaloa internal wars to reclaim la sierra. They’re getting mighty close to kicking out Sinaloa out of the mountains of chihuas.

  10. They should build a big ass arena and let em scheduled dates and times that they wanna kill each other then unlock em in the arena until one side prevails and the others are all dead .... that way innocent people dont get caught in their battles

  18. I’m so tired of everyone saying chapitos are with CJNG lmao 🤣 that alliance hasn’t bore fruit anything I haven’t seen any manta saying there allied and it hasn’t been any clashes of Jaliscos vs mayos in sinoloa or Durango we all know what mayos did to them in Zacatecas with Los Paez/Quinteros and BLO (Isidro/Musico/Sagitarrio) I’m pretty sure Mayos aren’t worried about it… Chapitos been taking all the Ls left and right.. there main groups who ran most Sonora flipped independent and La FEA, Koy, Bitache in sinoloa flipped Guesave Cartel only a matter of time

  19. Welcome back sol!! Just this time don't be a hoe and in your feelings all the time. If you're going to give opinions (political or otherwise) be ready to take feedback and don't censor people you don't agree with or hurt your feelings.
