Angel, better known as "El Pichon," was a member of the La Chapiza Cartel and considered the plaza boss in the Campo Diez town of Culiacán, Sinaloa. El Pichon was a close subordinate and compadre of "El Chapito Lomas", a high-ranking member of the Los Chapitos Cartel. Alberto Zepeda Cano "El Chapito Lomas," is a cousin of Ivan Archivaldo and Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar, leaders of the Los Chapitos criminal organization.
El Pichon was gunned down on Thursday, September 4, 2025, by La Mayiza / MF armed commando while the latter was driving in Campo Diez town. After the incident involving El Pichon being attacked by gunfire, Navy personnel and local authorities arrived minutes later.

The "Original Zetas" weren't a "Cartel", they were just the leadership of hundreds, then thousands. Besides, half stayed with the Gulf, a dozen of those switched allegience, and another half dozen are still alive. As for the recruits so many were absorbed into La Familia, CJNG, and local mobs. When Fuerzas Especialias Avendano flipped to Guesave (BLO) then Koy and La Numerada (cholos) flipped (not in that order) and chapitos can’t call on Gente Nueva Los Salazar, Parades or Los Cazadores from Sonora anymore since they split from Chapitos and are war with them in that state! Salazars was probably the biggest loss since the BLO split they were the main organization in Sonora for chapos the entire border with AZ securing routes defending the plazas! there man power took a huge hit most of there sicarios now are recovering addicts just cannon fodder. MF has the north of the Culiacan and are making there way south it’s only a matter of time.
