The early morning of this Tuesday, June 17, 2025, dozens of news outlets in Mexico reported the capture of Pablo Edwin Huerta Nuño, alias "El Flakito," a generator of violence in Tijuana, Baja California, considered a key drug corridor crossing. El Flakito once forged an alliance with the infamous Nestor Isidro Salas Perez, "El Nini", "El 19", a former high-ranking lieutenant of the Los Chapitos Cartel. El Flakito became known in the underworld for stealing drug shipments from different cartel leaders who used Tijuana for crossing drugs. Lastly, Mr. Huerta Nuño was captured in a neighborhood in Tijuana by Mexican military special forces, and local law enforcement authorities from Tijuana did not participate.

DeleteIn an interview, La Barbie said he was laughing because after all that he went through, the attempted hits on him, the betrayal, the crimes that he himself committed, he managed to be captured alive. If my memory serves me well, he said the military had told him they'd give him a chance to run, but he new that if he did they would shoot him. We can only assume what flakito is thinking, but based on his history and the similarities to that of la barbies, I wouldn't doubt if that smirk is for the same reasons.

He was never in the game during his reign he never had an actual crew that did anything for him. He used everybody else's crews to do his dirty work. El Sillas at the time provided him with everything (Weapons, dope).
Caf is no where close to what is used to be. Even all the members of the old guard that have been released from custody (El Siego, El Pato, El Roque) aren't coming back. They've all moved back into the US or the interior of Mexico.
El Balas and his son have even distanced themselves. You never hear anything about them anymore either. They own gas stations and casa de cambios (of course to launder their money) but they won't come back and wave the flag.
There's no real smirk there- that second of laughter can come from joking with his captors who are just as tired of the day-long orchestrated media charade as he is. After the Barbie parade every agency is looking for a photo of the Grinning Cartel Boss. The photographers risk broken noses by yelling how fat the Marina is behind them, but if it makes the captive grin they have gold. It's no different from celebrities who are unravelling being called a slutty bitch on the street by photographers to make them turn around and yell, or a politician being thrown a clown mask and told to look at it.
