The CJNG Adopts Chemical Explosives To Break Through In Michoacán

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Coahuayana is the municipality where the use of these devices has been reported, which has caused the displacement of its inhabitants.

The CJNG has adopted the use of drones to drop chemical explosives in Michoacán

The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) has updated the arsenal used in its attacks carried out in the state of Michoacán. In addition to weapons for the exclusive use of the Army, it has now implemented chemical explosives that are dropped from drones, which can affect the health of the inhabitants.

This was reported by the Apatzingán Human Security Observatory through a statement shared last week, when members of the CJNG broke into the municipality of Coahuayana, located in the southwest region of the entity.

It was in the early hours of Wednesday, April 3, when it was reported that “more than 100 heavily armed gunmen,” belonging to the CJNG, entered Coahuayana and took the towns of Zapotán, Palos Marías and El Órgano, where they allegedly threw chemical bombs. Due to this, the intervention of local, state and federal authorities was requested.

“Support has been requested to end this terrorist threat that uses high-powered weapons in its attacks and launches explosive bombs of C4 and asphyxiant chemicals with drones,” the Observatory indicated on that occasion.

The CJNG tries to break through in the southwest of Michoacán with the use of drones

He added that these chemical explosives supported by drones are used “with the purpose of assaulting the capital of the municipality of Coahuayana”, where the criminal organization led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias 'El Mencho', keeps the population incommunicado.

Although the chemical compounds that the “four letter cartel” throws from the drones were not disclosed, reports from the magazine Proceso indicate the substances can cause suffocation, itching and “stinging in the respiratory tract.”

The Observatory reported that after the attacks, “several injuries from firearms and poisoning from chemical explosives” were reported. This, in turn, has caused the displacement of the residents of Zapotán, Palos Marías and El Órgano to other regions of the state.

Faced with this situation and due to the “inaction” of the authorities, the inhabitants of the municipalities of Coahuayana and Aquila chose to block federal highway number 200, between the limits of Michoacán and Colima. “The above is in order to pressure the immediate action of the federal and state governments to stop the wave of reported violence,” the Observatory indicated last weekend.

The municipality of Coahuayan has been affected by the drone attacks carried out by the CJNG

On Sunday, April 7, it was reported that the mayor of Coahuayana, Gildardo Ruiz Velázquez, supervised the security operations deployed by the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), the National Guard and the Civil Guard. In that sense, he assured that order and peace had been restored in the municipality.

Since December 2022, the discovery of chemical explosives used by the CJNG has been reported in Coahuayana. Some of the substances detected are methomyl and carbofuran, considered toxic pesticides, according to Nmás reports.

The chemicals are stored in glass containers that are attached to explosives with electrical cables, which are dropped from drones. The detonation of this type of device has not only generated alert among the population, as it is presumed that it may also have ecological effects.

  1. Just a matter of time they will be labeled as terrorist, if Mexico was smart they should designate them terrorist for the money they will receive from usa.

    1. I really doubt that's going to happen without the US shooting themselves in the foot. If they didn't do it when the Zetas were so out of control then I find it highly unlikely it'll happen with any cartel.

    2. CJNG and the other major DTO’s have affected USA economy with over trillion + $ in fentanyl deaths.. they are bigger beast than the zeta’s ever were.

    3. 7:27 is that why the US is going after the snitch cartel first? Lol.

      Delete
    4. I think it wont happen because the refugees from mexico would have much more chances to enter legally once DTO are declared terrorist organization. That would mean open borders.

    5. If they designate it terrorist they will get an incredible influx of asylum seeker from South America.

The USA. Don’t want that, plus the war on drugs is too profitable

    2. 3:12 - Not all chemical weapons are consider weapons of mass destruction. Tear gas is a chemical weapon used by police, but it’s not considered a weapon of mass destruction. The article states that CJNG are using toxic pesticides. I’m pretty sure pesticides are also not considered weapons of mass destruction.

    3. 3:12 - Weapons of mass destruction? You guys make the cartels sound way scarier than what they actually are.

    4. The Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use in War of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or other Gases, and of Bacteriological Methods of Warfare, usually called the Geneva Protocol, is a treaty prohibiting the use of chemical and biological weapons in international armed conflicts. The Iraqi Army employed chemical weapons in attacks against combatants and non-combatants in border cities and villages and more than 30 attacks against Iranian civilians have been reported, as follows: On 28 June 1987 in Sardasht, West Azerbaijan. In March 1988 in villages around the city of Marivan. Granted that these scum don't fall under the designation of being an official militant force of a sovereign country, having employed the use of what could be described as a wraponized chemical agent, is at the very least more than enough of a valid pretext for the US to begin setting the table and sharpening the steak knives. Just as it was for desert storm, regardless of whatever other underlined incentives may have been perceived, and or plainly obvious. Regardless, and given the current state of affairs throughout the Mexican union, foreign intervention is looking more appealing, with each passing day to more of it's citizens, whether they care to admit it, or not.

    6. 03:12 03:18 well shit. Now what? The only way to stop CJNG is to arrest the President of Mexico and the military because that's where the top leadership lies.

    7. I don’t think the us will go the invasion route like all the trolls are thirsting for. Iraqs population in 2000 was 24.63M ppl. Afghanistans population in 2000 was 19.54M ppl. Mexicos population in 2022 127.5M ppl. I am not a military dude but seems like you would need different strategy and tactics to win that war.

    8. Well Mr.. 9:15, hate to break it to you, but population means 💩. In a scenario of war/or invasion, the protocol is simple; if youl aren't a combatant, then you are a civilian, and as a civilian, you either comply or die, a civilian that takes up arms is deemed a hostile, hostiles can be managed as combatants, congratulations, any considerations regarding your physical well-being at this stage, lie primarily with occupying forces. Furthermore, it would be far from being considered an all out hostile invasion, given the 💩 circumlstances in which the Trash Politicians and degenerate criminals have the girls next door in... Spread Eagle by the way, just in case you haven't noticed; basically, it's like the country is on some wild mechanical bull-ride, with a Dildo strapped to the saddle. All the poor souls are yelling UNCLE, while the operator/Government has slipped away to a quiet place so that it can bump Nuts to Butts with criminals. In a nutshell, Mexico is a failed State, tragic but true; and before you open up your mouth again to spew some other half-assed conjecture, Say this with me.. OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, key word "freedom"; for the late persons. It's quite fascinating actually, what some people can do under the guize of freedom and national-security; and before your undergarments get into an event tighter bunch, I am not suggesting that military action will come into play, but neither should the uninitiated be so quick to dismiss the obvious, that anything is possible for the self proclaimed arborist to that thirsty tree of liberty. Just some food for thought. Your welcome.😉

They're supposed to be autodefenses. I believe a small number are paid by the municipality and the rest are volunteers. CJNG claims that Teto works for a cartel but it is difficult to verify that claim.

      Delete
    5. 4:50 Detroit the only real AutoDefensas from that region was Cemei Verdia group. Guess who ran him out of the región? Teto and Toro are criminals aligned with El Abuelo. They cry for government help at their convenience. El Teto threatened to tie up a MARINA commander and beat his ass in the town plaza for seizing some cocaine loads that were to be received in his territory. A video exists of that event. Some politico was the intermediary of that "meeting". Because of "Abrazos, No Balazaos" the marino didn't say or do nothing.

Something like a special unit made of politicians, police, judges, prosecutors, and and maybe contracts with foreign countries to keep these criminals in jails until they die. But wont happen, too many people benefit from el narco and the corruption.

  19. Just more propaganda from El Tetos and El Toro and it works ever single time. Invent some bullshit so the media covers the story and get free protection from the federal and state goverment. Same with El Abuelo Farias and Los Reyes. The crazy part is It was El Abuelo Farias, El Tetos and El Toro who first started using drones then drones with explosives, then mines in Michoacan. When it came to cartel innovation El Abuelo Farias and his group of cocaine robbers are number one.

Now they are using these kinds of dirty tactics, so who are the real narco terrorist l.
