Today AMLO Recognizes 'Manufacture' of Fentanyl in Mexico

Mica for BorderlandBeat.com

On 3/9/23, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador famously said, “Here, we do not produce fentanyl, and we do not have consumption of fentanyl,”. “Why don't they (the United States) take care of their problem of social decay?"

That suddenly changed today.

General Luis Cresencio Sandoval presented a video in which 37 drug labs have been found.

Mexico City.- The federal government recognized that fentanyl is "manufactured" in Mexico after President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that the confiscated laboratories only "snuggle" pills that contain the opioid trafficked from Asia.

This morning, at a conference at the National Palace, General Luis Cresencio Sandoval - head of the Sedena - presented a video in which it was reported that 37 fentanyl pill manufacturing centers have been found.

"Based on the results obtained, it has been identified that in Mexico organized crime has implemented various methods for the production of methamphetamines and the manufacture of fentanyl pills.

"As far as manufacturing is concerned, there is evidence that criminal organizations acquire the chemical precursors of the last stage of that drug by virtue of the difficulty of being produced in a clandestine environment, with 37 fentanyl pill manufacturing centers found in Mexico during the present Administration, where only the last phase of the organic synthesis process is carried out to obtain fentanyl.

In March, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) said in a statement that the Mexican security agencies have not detected the manufacture of fentanyl in national territory, which was later endorsed by the head of the North American unit of the Foreign Ministry, Roberto Velasco.

For López Obrador, the seized laboratories in Mexico only "snugget" pills containing fentanyl trafficked from Asia, mainly from China; however, the Chinese government denied that there was a trafficking of fentanyl from his country to Mexican territory, stating that it has never been notified.

Since 2014, the DEA has assured in its annual reports of the existence of illegal production of fentanyl in Mexico. Still, it was in 2021 that it warned of the involvement of the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The video presented by the head of Sedena mentions that for the manufacture of fentanyl, organized crime installs cauline laboratories in urban areas where they have machines that allow them to encapsulate it.

"These places are facilities located, mainly in urban areas, with tables, machines, tableting machines and containers to mix the chemical precursor - known as ANPP - with a catalyst such as hydrochloric acid, a process that does not require facilities or specialized labor, obtaining fentanyl from which they only have to encapsulate it," it was added.

    1. Stupid idiot... This is the Beginning of the End for Fent... Just like in 2010 when the prices of Meth skyrocketed because they pretty much CUT off the Ephedrine chain coming from China. Now....yes we have Meth, but it's Cooked with a different chemical, that's why Now we have tweakers going crazy and loosing their minds. It's Not that it's Pure... It's because the chemical they are using is much more poisonous than the Ephedrine ever was. Why you think the pound or going for like 800$ in L.A

    2. Negative. I banged dope for 10 years. Fent doesn't touch real heroin at all. Heroin is a way better high

      Delete
    3. Lol the end. How do you figure? Much cheaper to produce, way bigger profits, more addictive and easier to ship and conceal due to high potency. Never mind carfentanil and its potency. Plus addicts new and old, once you start on fetty, you can’t go back cause h doesn’t work anymore.

      Delete
    4. That's completely bullshit. You can go back to using heroin after fent..it doesn't work like that. And ask most people who've used both and almost all will say they prefer heroin. Fent fucking sucks.

    5. Yea they really stopped the supply. Lol for what like a day maybe a week. All they did when they did that with meth was get rid of that shitty biker crank and created another market and the meth these days is so much better. That sucks you get ripped off alot. In my 40 years of life I've never experienced a drought of any kind for meth, h, coke.

    6. 9:25 I’m talking from experience, it’s not a theory. It’s a fact. It’s way stronger which gives you a super tolerance to h. I wish it wasn’t like that but unfortunately it is cause the high was better, not necessarily stronger but better with h.

    7. They switched back to the P2P method but it produces both the "left handed" and the "right handed" isotopes with one giving the desired euphoric effects and the other giving undesirable side effects like tachycardia, excited delirium and drug induced psychosis. There isn't many cooks that have the know how or care really enough to take the much more technical steps to separate the isotopes so this is where you're seeing the nasty effects of the meth as of lately.

    8. Oh, and I'm not trying to brag or anything of the sort so before someone asks "how I think I know so much" I'm not a chemist but I do dabble in chemistry and I have a bachelor's degree in physics with an emphasis on applied sciences.

  4. It doesn’t matter at this point, you think US dealers are gonna give up making money from selling it? And what, go work at a warehouse for Amazon? Fent is here to stay, even other groups will push it regardless China will keep sending it. Too many players that even eliminating chapitos just know there’s many people ready to take the throne and a lot of them on this side as well.

    2. True it will and is being replaced with new analogues and numbered experimental opiates

      Delete
    3. True they get replaced. W-18 and U-47700 are already other synthetic opiates that are out there. There are catalogues worth of synthetic opiates and new ones being created all the time. Heroin was better but synthetics will not go away.

    4. This guy " drugs dissappear all the time " lol where ? I walked out of jail after 10 years amd went to my reg middle class neiborhood and found h amd meth within hours. And we all know the US drug market is what matters. Everyone wants the American dream. Amd if I as an American want to get high I'm free to do so and i need the cartels tbh. No American can do what they do when it comes to drugs. The violence sucks wish that was diff but it's not. Unfortunately all this is part of the game and if you choose to involve your self and o d or get horrifically murdered on camera i mean it is what it is. There are no innocent overdoses. If you were not smoking pills and doing h you would be alive. Those are life choices so live with the consequences. But yes fent is here to stay. Fent is the new cocaine and war on drugs bs. 😁😁

    5. the way to get rid of fent, the only way, is decrim heroin. can get rid of the dirty meth that way too. it's too much for people to seriously consider but - prohibition doesn't get rid of drugs, it just makes them dirty and expensive. same happened with alcohol during prohibition and people went blind from the dirty alcohol.

  8. Well there you have fellow BBers. Andres Manuel López Habladors slow ass brain has finally received, processed and analyzed the facts that yes indeed in México, specifically in Sinaloa, CDS has been manufacturing fentanyl in an industrial scale.
All that blah, blah, blah he was spewing was for his 💩🧠🤖 who thankfully no longer post comments here. Por fin les cayó el 20 a los chairos🧟‍♂️

    1. Your honestly right and they should of had a example made out of them. At this point though I think just letting pharmacies sell percocet over the counter would be the smartest move. At least people aren't taking the fake shit out of desperation..

      Delete
    2. Fa real though. The example that was made is that its cool to manufacture drugs and start and opioid epidemic as long as your a rich white American family. So crazy all this started cause of Purdue pharma s greed and now all that is lost and now just blame Mexico for everything. It's sad rich white people get bailed out with no punishment. O my bad they got a fine lol . We should send the cartels a fine and pardon them like we did with the Sakler s and Purdue pharma that is the American way ... 🤣

    4. In oregon all small amout of drugs are decriminalized. Not sure on the weight but I think it's like you can have 2 grams of h amd get pulled over and can pay 100$ fine and keep it pushing. few grams of coke, meth cool, 10 pills of whatever cool. Maybe not fent everyone hates that shit. I hear Canada is trying to implement this in there whole country. It's only a matter of time ⏲️

  11. In my opinion amlo, is the only thing that's stopping from Mexico from forming on all war, a lot of people like to criticize him because supposedly he is not hard on drug traffickers but he is focusing on other things like building up the economy and making Mexico a better place by changing the society, the way culture sees cartels, he is not publicly going after cartels but yet when they fall they fall the military is doing their jobs he has increased military spending, next president after him will be a shitshow definitely going to see a lot of violence, the cartels mainly (cds) have already fked up by manufacturing fentanyl this oncoming heat will cause more violence, i hope amlo keeps strong and keeps the USA out of Mexico. And hopefully the next president is not dumb enough to do so either it will cause a social instability throughout Mexico

    3. I mean how could you hate on ALMO what would happen really if he was like fuck that we comming after the cartels?? His family would be executed on Twitter. How can you ask someone to do that. I think ALMO just wants to cash his check amd go home. And if you replace him then what? When has the president of Mexico been on the up n up. NEVER. Some way some how the election will be corrupted and the wrong person will get power. The ones who do stand up get murked. I mean either don't be president in Mexico or be ALMO that's the only way to survive amd get rich as fuck off American addiction. Sad but o so true.

    4. 1105 a comment based on nothing. Let's take a look at what cartels have been targeted under AMLO. Ovidio, Lupe Tapia and his son, RCQ, Menchos wife, Menchos brother, Menchos son, menchos brother in laws, Osiel Cardenas brother, Huevo Trevino, El Cazador, El Marro and La Vaca to name a few. There's been operations against El Pez and La Fresa, Menchos daughter and top lieutenants El RR and El Apa. So he said fentanyl wasn't produced in Mexico and then General Luis Cresencio Sandoval bust's out with 35 labs that were producing fentanyl pills. The Anti Amlo 💩 🧠 🤖 is so focused on what AMLO said that he misses the fact that THIRTY FIVE (35) (TRIENTA Y OCHO) pill producing locations were dismantled under AMLO's administration. But okay, whatever you say to make you happy.

    5. 1:59 been quiet for a while 💩🧠🤖. Now mi General Sandoval is shown to be another lacra that lives off the public tit just as his boss López Hablador has all his life.🤣🤡
Admit it chairo, AMLH is simply just another corrupt POS like all his other buddies that govern in Latin America.
Jajajaja remember when you commented all tough that your idol snubbed the USA when he didn't show up for the Americas summit in LA because Biden refused to allow those communist to participate.🙈 Puro blah, blah, blah con el Kakas. You'll see.

    6. Wow a whole 35 .. taking a nibble out of crime. Bet there double that working right now as we speak. Yea ALMO did non of that he puts minimum resources into these things. All those people caught and Still nothing, no change at all. It's the US s agenda not ALMOs for sure. All those people arrested have been replaced and all the organizations are still going strong. What are you talking about. 🤣🤣🤣

      Delete
    7. So is it "THIRTY FIVE (35) or "TRIENTA" Y OCHO (38🤔😒)pill producing locations"? TREINTA=30, remember tres is for numbers, TRI is for Alex Lora who has no love for El Kakas Hablador.
You need another break from BB chairo.

    8. 251 LOL listen to yourself. You minimize the governments efforts, and you want to blow out of proportion something he said in 1 speech. Forget that 35 fentanyl manufacturing operations were dismantled, let's focus on that he said Fentanyl is not produced in Mexico cause that's more important. You have a hard time accepting anything positive that AMLO has done. Just admit it.

      Listen to your self too.
He ELMO, openly said without verguensa, proudly states "there's no Fentynal being produced in Mexico".
Yet you answered it and can't hide it, 35 fentanyl labs have been busted.
      Talk about double jeopardy.🤣😂🤣🤪.

  12. I don't get his point? Way to heat yourself out ALMO

  13. @9.25. You miss the context. He has stated openly before, as justification for raids on CDS factories, that fentanyl is being manufactured in Mexico. All the nuance behind the questions being asked, and the audience he is addressing, gets lost cos you are too quick to jump on the ''ELMO mistakes his mouth for his ass'' headline. The amount of times it has come from a basic translation error that appears in the US media, then gets leapt on gleefully and repeated by the Mexican media even though they heard it for real and understand what was really going on is depressing.
