My Obsession of RR

"Mica" for BorderlanBeat.com

This project started by drafting a post on a "New & Improved" RR Ranch that a reader found. While researching the property, I realized I needed in-depth knowledge of RR to vet the new property properly. The new research quickly became a dossier of detailed notes and homemade org charts. As the title of my new series implies, research became my obsession.

My Obsession of RR
In my new lengthy series on RR, we go way beyond the misinformation into the famous narco who leads a kill squad for CJNG.  The first chapter comes out Friday night, and it's called "The Backstory of RR Meeting El Apá."

Below is some basic information on our subject, El RR, in preparation for the chapter 1 drop tomorrow. As always. thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the series.

Rise to Power
RR worked for "El Dany Quintero," the plaza boss of Guadalajara for CJNG.

In 2015, Daniel Quintero Riestra was on vacation in Cancun when the military and elements of the Attorney General's Office detained him for the murder of Jesús Gallegos Álvarez, Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco.

After the arrest, El Mencho promoted RR as the new plaza boss of Guadalajara.

  1. Good job Mica and stay safe. As a kid I use to visit the area where RR's other rancho is supposedly located. I remember driving through some terraserias and my uncles pointing out another ranch with giraffes and exotic animals that supposedly belonged Caro Quintero. This was back in the mid 80's. Even back then people were producing weed out of that region.

    1. Hahaha. Chino was moving weight up north. This dude and his "team" are extorting people and businesses in Guanajuato and Guadalajara. Is that what you call legit.

    4. And just like Chino antrax and other big names like R5 , RR is going to end up like them. They become famous hitman names until they get replaced…. And the story continues with some other guy.

    8. 3:43 🤣🤣 thats another team who only lasted a few weeks, look here the narco culture gotbmy interest when i would hear all this corridos about the Antrax how bad ass they were how chino antrax got noticed in a gun battle where he killed like 10 guys by him self or some shit like that and how the whole crew (chube, chino, phoenix and so many others) were unstopable, taking plazas left and right and it turns out they did all of that only in those fake corridos 🤣 dont get me wrong i like the corridos and their beats but when i started reading BB and other narco blogs i notice it all bull shit, when ever one of them got killed in a hitt a corrido would come out claiming he went out blasting and took out 3 guy and in reality in the news it would say he was in his car waiting on a stop light and a bike came from the side and one guy killed them just like that 😂 again they were a bunch of phonys, i cant really remember a gun battle that they were involved in that they actually won

    14. 🤣 i don’t know where people come up with these things. Mochomito works for cds. Under an uncle of mine. And no im not a claimer. My uncle was good friends with mochomo and has been around for a long time, including javier torres times. I attended a party in like 2002 at my uncles, like 30 trucks of gunmen, and because javier torres was there (those were his peak/final years) no one was allowed to bring out phones or record anything. They had 3 big time
groups there but i cant say who. But go ahead and say im lying lol.

  7. It would be interesting to see the highest neighboohoods of drug consumption in the metro Guadalajara area. Zona Centro, Colonia Oblatos, Santa Margarita in Zapopan, Loma Dorada and la Jalisco in Tonala, and Cerro del Cuatro in Tlaquepaque are known as some of the worst ones. I think Quintero had an eastern Guadalajara area under control. I think El Max is the real top dog of other areas along with RR. Only two chains higher from that with the top being (or was) Tony Oseguera.

Quick fact Colonia Oblatos is where the rapper Mr. Yosie Locote was killed. He was likely in the game. He had a Sur LA style as most as those weird kids in those hoods repping 13 or 14 and their outdated 90s style. Weird to see that influence of California in the hoods of Mexico
