Port-au-Prince, Haiti: The Demented Ways Of Crazed Gang Members

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

A new video from the Haitian underworld has been making the rounds for a number of days now. For this broadcast the post death dismembering of a nude female is taking place at the hands of Haitian gang members in the night time hours.

Online sources are mixed in their assessment of what lead to her being hacked into pieces. Some have accused her of being an informant that was inevitably captured and dealt with. Other claims have been made that she was kidnapped and that her family was unable to pay for her release.

Port-au-Prince, the capital and most populous city of Haiti, and other towns have been racked for months by escalating deadly gang warfare, and Haitian media have reported that the country has seen a marked rise in kidnappings since the start of the year.

    1. It’s blasphemy to call these scumbags animals… Animals are too good to be associated with parasites.

    6. @Seragalin. I think 11.11 was taking the piss out of 7.26 for saying that voodoo brings Haiti natural disasters.

  3. I ran an anti-kidnapping team in Port au Prince, Haiti, for two years (2012-2014); it's a tough place. My team advised the Haitian National Police anti-kidnapping unit, also known as La Cellule Contre Enlèvement (CCE). We worked just over 300 kidnapping investigations; we arrested about 24 current or former police officers for kidnapping. We also captured a voodoo priest who ran an extremely violent kidnapping cell. About one week after the voodoo priest's arrest, I came down with dengue fever; the locals thought I had been cursed with a voodoo spell--LOL--Kidnapping for ransom gangs run amok in the country. They kill many of their victims even after the payment of a ransom. The gangs target anyone they think has relatives in the U.S., believing all Americans have plenty of money.

Pay attention to what this individual just said so that you're not asking those dumb questions of yours that don't see the light of day here.

    5. I'm a retired Phoenix narcotics/gang/organized crime detective. Before getting to Haiti, I spent three years in Bosnia/Croatia/Serbia with DOJ and two years in Iraq (Tal Afar/Mosul). After Haiti, I finished three years in Mexico, working out of the U.S. consulate in Monterrey. I was responsible for the state of Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Coahuila, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, and Durango. I also spent some time in Veracruz, Ciudad Juarez, and Tijuana.

I've been around the block and saw some crazy sh!t in Iraq and Mexico, but Haiti was beyond dispair. Haiti made Iraq seem like paradise, except in Iraq, we had to deal with roadside bombs and lunatics running around with suicide vests.

I took a bus ride from Port au Prince to Santo Domingo, DR, while heading to Miami on vacation. I wanted to see the difference between both countries. When I got to the Haiti/Dominican Republic border to pass through a border checkpoint and switch buses, I was nauseated from bouncing around the bus due to the horrible roads. Once I got on the Dominican bus, I saw poverty in the DR, but nothing like what I saw in Haiti; I couldn't believe I was on the same island because the DR looked much cleaner and the roads were better, even in the rural areas. With the earthquakes and hurricanes, Haiti cannot catch a break; if not for bad luck, they'd have no luck. That being said, I will forever have a special place in my heart for the Haitian people, especially their courageous anti-kidnapping team; Haitian schoolchildren should be singing folk songs about them. A longtime fan of BB; keep up the great work, saludos from Phoenix--RRA4050

  5. At least we know mutilation isn’t just a Latin American. It’s a barbaric way of showing you’re a man. Lol. Sometimes I think we actually did come from monkeys. Some of us anyway.
