In the previous chapters, the focus was on the inside of the compound. Now, I will show you from outside the false protection of the compound walls.
Parking
The narco hideout provides parking for the help just outside the gates.

Side
Shows the top of the wall having a fence with a privacy screen. This privacy screen shows a confrontation in the courtyard.

Note the white escort vehicles. These would have been used to travel in combination with the primary being in the black G Wagon or the beast. More on that in the final.
The outfitted Chevy truck would be used for patrols, deploying chaos, and not part of a vip daily convoy.

Delete@6.13. Agreed, most people don't seem to realise what the CIA even does. The cold war is over, and though they used traffickers to combat central America, helping them now makes zero sense. The cartels threaten trillions of dollars of American trade, like Oil, but they are assisting so they can make a few billion? There may be a few old cartel dinosaurs who are still ''assets'' but the rest is just a misunderstanding.

DeleteIn my opinion, this house had a poor design. It’s got a wall completely exposed and windows in the kids bedrooms? Or they learned from bin laden and they tried very hard at making it look “normal” either way, the Mexican military did an outstanding job at getting through all the security rings and getting the job done

ReplyDeleteAny one else wonder why the hoods are open the trucks are parked inconveniently and the bullet impacts look like those trucks got hit from a distance then abandoned when they failed running away? The bullet spread is huge and inconsistent.

Imagine what happened here?! Waking up to some gunship raining freedom sprinkles and then scrambling to an escape vehicle while trying to clear an escape route by shooting through the exit gate all at the same time. WTF -little grapes
The hoods were likely open so that the vehicles could be disabled and not used by other sicarios in the chaos to come.
DeleteThey look like they got hit from a distance (and you'll notice the Suburban only appears to have bullet holes on one side and where that side isn't protected by the vehicle next to it) because they did. They got hit from bullets coming from the assault on the house. Looks like smaller arms fire and not from the helicopter gunship.
The projectile impacts ont he entrance gate, just like this on the white vehicles, came from the inside out because they did.
I'm guessing the helicopter gunship provided cover and a distraction for the assault team to enter the property from another access point or multiple access points. Then most of the gunfire that was taking place was indeed inside out.
Once the extraction was done they disabled the vehicles.
The bullet holes on the armored pickup truck could have been from previous firefights. It's possible the sicarios in that truck arrived as the first reinforcements when the assault was going down.
The extraction itself must have been pretty quick. Because had it not been I would have expected a lot more bullet holes than I see in these photos as backup sicarios arrived.
I'm only speculating that the vehicles were disabled as part of the extraction as they left the scene because I would imagine had they not been they would have been used by other sicarios in the ensuing chaos to come.
If they were disabled during the extraction it shows the team that captured Ovidio had enough time to do so. If the fighting at the house itself was hot enough they wouldn't have time to even think about it. But again... judging by the bullet holes it looks like the extraction happened pretty quickly and before reinforcements could arrive in any significant numbers.
This is little grapes. And me thinks you're correct, you think his extraction was on site with the chopper or in a vehicle
DeleteI think the assault and extraction of Ovidio's compound itself was done entirely via helicopters. Which would explain how they were able to get in and then get him out of the area as quickly as they did.
DeleteSEDENA had ample time to prep their hit on this house, it shows by comparison of vehicles not being able to maneuver, and personnel being killed inside. It also helps the they had air support and maybe even some sniper fire. If you look at the surroundings, anyone attacking this property had the advantage of high ground. This security house was not well planned out, hence the reason it allowed for a fast capture.
