León, Guanajuato: CJNG Leaves Corpse Wrapped in a Blanket and a Message

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The body was found on Mar Negro Street and the corner of Chimalpopoca Street, in the municipality of Leon, Guanajuato.

On a piece of tablecloth, next to the body, a threatening message was found, signed by a criminal group.

Wrapped in a blanket and black plastic bags, the body of a person was found early this Tuesday in the Santa María del Granjeno neighborhood. So far, nothing is known about those responsible.

It was around 2:00 a.m., that the emergency numbers received the report that, on Mar Negro Street and the corner with Chimalpopoca Street, there was the corpse of a person wrapped in a blanket.

As a consequence elements of the Municipal Police went to the place and confirmed the veracity of the report. They immediately notified the State Attorney General's Office and cordoned off the area.

Corpse found with a message

On a piece of tablecloth, next to the body, a threatening message was found, signed by a criminal group. The ministerial authorities collected it as part of their evidence.

The victim has not been identified. Due to the victim being wrapped in a blanket as well as black plastic bags, it was not possible to determine the victims sex. Nor the type of injuries they had.

After the corresponding work by the expert personnel and the Homicide Unit of the Prosecutor's Office, the body was collected and taken to the Semefo to perform the rigorous autopsy.

Narco message reads as follows:

The purge continues. Everyone needs to understand that the Leon Operative Group at the service of the CJNG enterprise is in charge here. Birrias, we’re coming for you next. Along with that faggot brother of yours Calafas. Just as well for that fat ass pig Zarco.
