Two nations struggle with; The Parallel Police Murders of U.S. George Floyd and Mexico's Giovanni Lopez

by Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat ....  TY Gus for post of  La Silla Rota

The parallel murders of George Floyd and Mexican bricklayer Giovanni López, at the hands of police while being arrested, is remarkable.

Not much is being heard in the U.S. press about the death of Lopez, they are more concerned with reporting on European protests, if reporting anything other than the murder of Floyd.

Floyd and Lopez’ murders were a month apart.  Both men were stopped in suspicion of low-level crimes.  Floyd, allegedly, for attempting to pass a 20-dollar counterfeit bill.  Lopez for not wearing a Covid-19 face covering.

Both men were videotaped during the arrests by bystanders.  Both murders were at the hands of multiple police officers.  Both murders had witnesses who begged the police to stop.

Both murders sparked massive protests, with looting and violence.  In Mexico a motorcycle policeman was drenched with   accelerant and set afire.

In the U.S,. a retired St Louis police captain was shot 9 times and killed by looters.  Captain David Dorn, a 30 year police veteran, was a black man.  There seems to be little press outrage to his murder.  Being black seems to only matter if a victim is not a police officer.

Both incidents had organized groups infiltrated peaceful protesters, whose agenda was to spark violence, loot and destroy.  They wrote graffiti of anarchy and anti-government slogans. They came prepared with “weapons”.

Yesterday, 3 suspects were presented in the death of Giovanni, by the governor of Jalisco, where the killing transpired.  It was the governor's  strict face mask rule that some say set off the tragic incident.

Governor Alfaro, who was not at the murder site, is adamant it had nothing to do with enforcing his mask rule.  The family, who was there, begs to differ.  They also have said for a month that the government asked for all the video footage and offered 9k USD not to release it.

Today the funeral of Floyd.  What comes from his murder will determine if he died in vain.

IMO there is much more to the story.  I believe it was personal. The killer and Floyd knew each other, worked security together, I am hopeful in the end we will know.

And yesterday we begin the legal process in Mexico by the presentation of the so-called killers of Giovanni.  I say so-called because Mexico is a land of props.  One never can believe the “facts” in these cases without strong supporting evidence.

There is much I am interested, in addition to the obvious, I want to know more about those infiltrator groups who bring violence and never wastes a tragedy, to promote anarchy, violence, steal, destroy and obstruct.

They were in Ferguson.  They were in Berkeley; they somehow appear as if by  magic at every protest.  Who or what is behind these groups?  Are they international as they seem to be?

As a woman who did her fair share of protesting back in her day, I know when the focus is diverted to bad actors, the good  vanishes~

La Silla Rota

The governor of Jalisco , Enrique Alfaro , unveiled the face of three of the alleged murderers of Giovanni Lopez . Through his Twitter account, the Jalisco  governor shared the image of the detainees, assuring that they are municipal police of Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos , without giving more details.

"My commitment was to do everything in my power so that there is ... These three people belonged to the municipal police of Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos, which we have taken control of. Today they are detained for their alleged participation in the death of Giovanni López.

  1. Call me a conspiracy theorist but there is something bigger here. Mass protests world wide. More like someone pulling strings. In USA facts dont support the BLM narrative and police brutality claim. Not when more whites are killed by police than blacks, and not when more police are killed by blacks... dial Mexico on the other hand that is a totally different story. Corruption of cops in Mexico is beyond belief. Corrupt cops are responsible for thousands of deaths a year of innocent lives.

    1. More UNARMED whites are NOT killed by police...So before you try to talk Narrative, learn what the Narrative is. How many unarmed whites can you name murdered by police while pleading for their life. How many times have you seen a mob of black cops beating/killing a white guy/girl on video and getting away with it..Also you told a big lie that i hope everyone who reads it,checks for themselves..Most police in the US are actually killed by whites.

    2. Let me first say I don't disagree with you but the argument they make is per capita... Which now has turned to systematic rasism... IMO Soros has a lot to do with trying to disstabalizing the US with his funding of these organizations

Those cops without their uniforms look just like sicarios or low level cartel members.

    3. @1:24 I'll name one... Justine Damond, a white unarmed woman was killed by a cop, a black cop... It wasn't on video but she was an innocent woman who called the cops cause she thought someone was getting raped, she got shot while in here pijamas.

And how about how many black people are killed by black people? Compare those numbers? Why don't those black lives matter? Donald Caldwell was just killed in Florida(former NFL reciever) where is the outage over that? Along with 20+ other African American in the last couple of weeks. Most killed by other African Americans...

    4. 1:24, here is a link if you need more let me know i’ll continue to do your research. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2017/crime-in-the-u.s.-2017/tables/table-43
Yes sir you might see more videos on media where blacks are killed, you also have more blacks committing 60% of the crime in “systematic oppressed cities”. Yes more unarmed whites got killed than blacks last year and the year before that... You’re either Have a victim mentality or just have CNN talking points!

    5. 8:36 if thats the woman in Minnesota killed a few years ago yes i remember her..Do you remember what happened to the cop who killed her..JAIL Sad thing is i can name 100 to your 1 and you dont see the issue or the Narrative..How many whites have had broomsticks shoved up their ass by animalistic cops..But if we let you tell the story the cops are justified..What a ahole u are

    6. 8:36 those blacks that kill blacks go to jail where they should be so whats your issue..Our issue is the white cops and fake one like george Zimmerman and ex ones like the redneck in Georgia dont get convicted

    7. Do you know that people did protest in that Justine case but it was in defense of the cop?
Yes they go to jail but why doesn't the community do anything to help itself? After all, all black lives matter...

Zimmerman was doing the right thing, Trayvon was guilty. People played it off like he was just a kid with a bag of skittles... Do you know what the skittles were for? Lean... The kid was not innocent. That's when the BLM movement started.

    8. Now that you said Trayvon was guilty because he has skittles for lean maybe it all makes perfect sense..Use lean and get murdered by neighborhood watch..We now see how you justify every black murder at the hands of a white person and blame blacks for black on black crime as well,so its our fault either way according to you..Again,Lean? Please send us that media link as well...We or i will be waiting.lol

    9. Actually I checked out his post morteum report and other reports. There was a reference to lean....from the defense of zimmerman based on a FB foto. in his system were only traces of THC. no mention of the liver.

      Delete
    10. 12:18, I'm a minority myself. I didn't say Lean was the reason he got killed but the media spinned it as an innocent kid who was just going for candy and iced tea. Look at his Facebook, he liked drugs, guns and fighting. The kid was no angel, he picked a fight with the wrong guy. Zimmerman was looking after his neighborhood, Trayvon didn't like it, wanted to fight and picked a fight with the wrong guy.

Like I said about black on black violence, I also blame Mexicans for the violence in Mexico(I'm a Mexican living in México) I don't blame America for liking drugs, self accountability goes a long way.

    11. Chivis i heard about the thc yes,not uncommon in teens these days, and as we know a defense attorney will say anything to get a client off..The M.E in Minnesota says they found fentanyl in George floyd. The M.E is Florida didnt say he had anything other than thc,yet mr Unknown tells it like its fact and says the kid was guilty for having candy.

      Delete
    12. 5:46 I didn't say he was guilty for having candy i just said the media spun it like he was just a kid going for candy. His Facebook said it all. A 17 year old kid posting about weed, growing weed, videos of fighting, guns and lean... I know a lot of people that do lean, mostly white and kids are all into it and I know they mix them with candy, jolly ranchers or skittles and a beverage tea or Sprite.
Again the candy wasn't the reason he was guilty or killed, he was killed because he was banging Zimmerman's head on the grounds and there is a law, stand your ground that allows him to defend himself if he feels his life was threatened. When you live in a neighborhood and are part of a neighborhood watch, you typically know who the trouble makers are in your area.

  2. People can't reason between right and wrong nowadays... people are getting murdered everyday in Mexico, these 3 cops thought no big deal, don't understand how the lady cop is involved? In USA, they plan to eliminate the chokehold by knees.

  3. Really an excellent take on both murders and the aftermath. I hope some of your questions are answered because many US citizens are hoping for the same answers. Corruption is prevalent on both sides of the border. There is an element in both societies that don’t want answers, but are hell bent to be the creators of problems.

Anyway, good job with your article. In my opinion it’s one of your best.

  5. Today what I alluded to in the post, it is reported Floyd and the killer cop had a contentious working relationship while working security in clubs.

My first thought was that Floyd came across info about the killer and he may have been silenced because of it. I have nothing to support that thought, it is just a thought putting together the puzzle. Clubs are notorious retail drug selling points. Maybe that is involved. these are just guesses ...brainstorming.

What was said today is George tangled with his killer multiple times over the rough treatment the killer subjected club patrons to.

    1. Yes ive been reading the same...it explains why he choked him out even though George wasnt fighting

    2. Its also not scripted that in 2019 19 whites were killed by
Police to the 9 blacks killed by police. Neither of which gives anyone the right to violently riot, loot and kill in the streets, and anyone watching television over the past 2 weeks could clearly see the minority of those breaking the law during these riots was clearly at least 90 % those of color.

  6. This scripted with hispanics and blacks as victims. antifa as enforcers while Soros and friends support the destruction. Remember that Soros and friends own the networks and major companies which are being destroyed. Trump is taxing and disrupting way things are and the Soros don't approve. One more thing Hilary and friends on trail for treason and no one is talking about it. Come on now tell this isnt scripted

  7. Because nobody gives a shit about mexico.. its mexico!!! Police work side by side with the cartels. Thats why nobody gives a crap. I bet they protest about the cartels killing people

  8. Floyd committed a "low level" offense. A bogus $20 bill. I think it's a petty offense. Most rational people, I would guess, think the same.(my opinion). But....The cops and the U.S. Gov't treat counterfeiting as if it were treason or some equally serious crime. I had a good friend who got involved in a counterfeiting operation back in the early 2000's. He got 8 years for selling phoney bills to the Hell's Angels. He had sheets of bogus bills ( $20's as they are less likely to be scrutinized at point of sale). Each sheet had 4 bills once they were cut. More on that in a moment. Around this same time my neighbor robbed two banks and a restaurant. He passed a note with his demands and a threat of a using a gun if necessary. A year later he was arrested and faced 3 felony charges of armed robbery with the special circumstance of threatening to use a gun in commission of the same felonies. He was sentenced in all to 5 years in prison. 5 years for armed robbery, and threats of using a gun, on innocent people while my friend was sentenced to 8 years for selling phoney bills to a criminal biker gang?? Hmmm...Here is another caveat regarding my friends 8yr sentence. He sold sheets-4 bills per page. Now had he actually "cut" the sheets and sold 4 individual bills he could have gotten another several years in prison. Why? Well according to what I was told selling the sheets for use by another was conspiracy while possesing individual bills showed criminal intent to pass these bills. Erhh..P.S when he got out of prison he still had some phoney bills-$100's. He would take the bills into strip clubs and tip the dancers with the $100 bills which the girls would then "launder" by handing him back real $50's $20's etc. He would pass a couple of bills then leave and go to another club etc etc.

    2. Not even a fair comparative. That is like saying "Well yeah the mexican government is corrupt, but look at the narcos, they hurt people more." two separate issues. both important but one doesn't negate the other....capeesh?
