Erik Juárez Blanquet, local deputy from Michoacán was assassinated on Tuesday morning in Morelia . He was shot four times, two in the head and two in the torso. His assassins failed an attempt to flee on a motorcycle but were arrested.

The State Attorney's Office is investigating one of the legislator's brothers and his alleged links to the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG).

According to agents close to the case, there are two antecedents of Fernando Juárez Blanquet, 21, which link him to a debt contracted with the CJNG for 1.4 million pesos. (apx 63,300 USD).

The first antecedent that the authorities investigate is of a fact that occurred in the municipality of Angamacutiro, on January 31, 2020, when the police arrested two subjects carrying two firearms, .45 and .9 millimeters. The assassins attempted an  attack on Fernando Juárez.

The local deputy of the Sol Azteca asked the police for help, who arrested Sergio Rubio Rodríguez, "El Checo", 32, and Gerardo Cerpa Gutiérrez, 19.

Both subjects admitted to police that they worked for “El Mencho’s" cartel and that they were demanding payment from the deputy's brother for a debt contracted with the CJNG.

The other history that the Prosecutor's Office is investigating, according to the same sources consulted, dates from February 12, 2020, also in the municipality of Angamacutiro.  In that case the brother and another person were found with a package of marijuana.

    3. Taking illegal loans is corrupt even at o% interest rate.
It was not long ago you had to report illegal offers like these to the FBI even if you were not running for office, in which case it was mandatory, still is mandatory, also if you have found a way of living off illegal loans from illegal lenders, illegally, offshore, unless you are above the law, in which case it is still illegal and must be reported to the FBI.
