Despite being in prison, Caro Quintero never stopped operating cartel, says the U.S.

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat  Milenio

Capo Rafael Caro Quintero never stopped operating his drug trafficking/sales business, even
while being imprisoned for 28 years and four months in three different prisons and although he insisted he had “retired” from the business.

According to an accusation registered in the Federal District Court of New York, in the United States, Caro Quintero, who has been a fugitive since 2013, "held a position of organizer, supervisor and management positions " as a drug dealer between 1980 and 2017. In addition to having in their structure heads of plaza "who controlled certain territories and were responsible for the transport of drugs through those territories".

And he had on his payroll  hitmen, money launderers and transporters, including entire crews for boats "From at least January 1980 to January 2017, Caro Quintero operated a vast narcotics transport network responsible for manufacturing and importing from Mexico to the United States multiple tons of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana”.
The arrest warrant is key and, if one day he  is recaptured, it will be the focal point of any trial faced in the United States by a half dozen accusations, the most serious of them, the murder of special agent Enrique Kiki Camarena, from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA ).

The accusation against him argues that Caro Quintero's organization has used corruption as "a means and method to achieve its objectives", in addition to generating millions of dollars that have been laundered  back to Mexico.

"The money, coming from the sale of drugs,  was physically transported from the United States to Mexico by clandestine means," the letter notes.

Rafael Caro Quintero, El R1 or El Canoso, has been a fugitive on both sides of the border since August 2013 , after the decision to release him was revoked, and he is considered a founder and former leader of the Guadalajara Cartel along with Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo and Ernesto Fonseca Don Neto.  According to the State Department now leads a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel .

From DEA:

DEA: “As alleged in the indictment, Caro Quintero is drug kingpin responsible for a murder conspiracy targeting those who posed a threat to his drug trafficking organization, including DEA Special Agent Enrique Camarena who bravely worked to stop traffickers like the defendant from flooding our country with dangerous narcotics,” stated United States Attorney Donoghue.  “The passage of time will not stop us from holding Caro Quintero accountable for the murder of one of one of our law enforcement partners.”  Mr. Donoghue extended his grateful appreciation to the DEA Offices in Long Island and Mexico City, the United States Department of State, the Homeland Security Investigations Office in Tucson, Arizona,

“Caro Quintero’s stronghold in the Sinaloa Cartel has lasted for over thirty years, following the kidnapping and brutal murder of Special Agent Camarena,” stated DEA Special Agent-in-Charge Hunt.  “DEA will never forget.  This indictment is a result of tremendous collaboration amongst law enforcement to bring Caro Quintero to justice and sends a message to the Cartel that time makes no difference in our efforts to stop their drug trafficking and related violence.”

Below is the indictment followed by exhibit and witness list (interesting).

  2. That’s not news. His family was involved in money laundering when he was in prison. Obviously they were still in business.

  3. Many high ranking individuals continue their reign. Yet those others are of no importance to the US. We need to ask ourselves why?

    2. So the Dea ruins his precious marijuana ranch and he just lets it slide even with his mafia ego, yeah right. Even if it wasnt done with his own hands, telling someone else to makes you responsible.

  5. He is old school. The boss. The Americans are full of it. The truth,,,,,they don't want the truth told. I doubt Quintero is going out like Chapo.

  6. Sorry ass loosers the Americans that want this guy Quintero imprisoned and can't have him.
That's what happens for the U.S. allowing CDS to grow as big as they have. If they had not helped the Mexican military capture all of Chapos enemies while Chapo was free CDS enemies would have probably taken care of Quintero a while back.
So fuck the U.S. DEA for that shit.

  7. He's a SMART narco, far from flashy and has a few corridos unlike CHAPO and MAYO who have hundreds EACH 😆
You know he lived like a KING in 🇲🇽 prison but strangely he ASKED mencho for help instead of MAYO when released from prison.. Weird..

    2. Maybe, just maybe they all work together. Mayo could be a known while asking Menchos help would be to curry favor. Yes, these guys will often kill each other, but like the politicians in the US who while publicy berating their opponents, work in the same building and make deals behind the scenes that we will never know about.

    3. Actually he was very flashy when he was young before he got arrested, more flashy than chapo and mayo put together.

    4. @12:04 Yeah, because Chapo and Mayo didn't act like La Cosa Nostra and paid respects to imprisoned capos like Caro, Don Neto and Gallardo, instead they did their own thing.

Now, sometimes bosses are killed or forgotten by their underlings like Lucky Luciano who set up and killed his former boss.

I guess it depends on a lot of factors, but I have always said CJNG in reality means "Nuevo Cártel de Guadalajara".

  9. Well the US government and especially the DEA never tells a lie, is incorruptible, always works for peace and freedom etc.

If you are stupid enough to believe in the honesty of the US government you'd believe in this bullshit report without questioning.

  13. Caro quintero was smarter than pablo escobar he didn't had to build a prison he just had every one on his payroll and bought the already made prison and made it center of operation for more than 27 years he didn't worry about anything, Anything he wanted was brought to him it was basically a mansion disguised has prison, mencho would only dream of something like this sinaloa but he can't even protect his son pathetic

  18. If these accusations are true he should be considered the smartest narco of all time because nobody has done that much time and maintained his spot. You have to respect anyone that can maintain a level of respect among the dirtiest of people that constantly backstab and cross out. But when it comes down to it nobody here or anywhere else knows who the real top bosses are. Narco politics are only known to those on a need to know basis. These are stupid people.

  20. Mayo works for the us. Mexico. And israel. Hes a C.I. el Chapo was the sacrificial lamb. Now everyone got shorter sentences. And caro isnt the one in the family with juice. Hes just the face 😘

  21. Caro most definitely has protection from some higher ups in the US intelligence agency. He is the real godfather of Mexican drug trafficking. He was not involved with the CIA for nothing. The DEA just has there beef because of Kiki and will always be kicking the dirt around.
